Thapki, a gorgeous, lively and intelligent girl, stammers constantly while conversing with other people. Thapki…Pyaar Ki will showcase Jigyasa Singh as Thapki, Pratiksha Lonkar as Poonam (Thapki’s mother), Shakti Singh as Krishnakanth (Thapki’s father), Sheena Bajaj as Aditi (Thapki’s sister) among others. It is the journey of an aspiring girl, conscious of her strengths and confident that she will be able to face the world. Consequently, her parents worry about her marital prospects. Thapki is a light-hearted yet touching story, which will motivate viewers to think that they can go beyond their limitations, and not give up on their dreams. Thapki’s mission in life is to not just survive but to thrive with passion, compassion and humor.

Pratiksha Lonkar, Shakti Singh, Sneha Bajaj and cute Shubh Kalra complete the cast of “Thapki..Pyaar Ki”. Hardik Sanghani to essay the role of Divakar in Colors’ new show Thapki Pyaar Ki. Hardik will essay the character of Divakar who will eventually marry Jigyasa. Divakar has a subtle yet great sense of humor. Jigyasa has a stammering problem while Divakar is short in height.
The show has a fresh approach towards love which is based on compromises from both individuals. The show is going on air from 25th May, from Monday to Saturday at 7pm. The a story revolves around character, Vaani Chaturvedi. Vaani has been rechristened as ‘Thapki’ by the society due to her stammer, which can be broken by a nudging pat/Thapki on her back. The popular show Shastri Sisters will see a time change from 25 May. Shastri Sisters will now move ahead and air at the 6:30 pm slot from its original timing of 7pm.
