Maya got a phone call from Rishab.

Rishab:Maya,can you come to the place where I tell you?Please…it’s urgent.

Maya:But what’s the matter Rishab?

Rishab:First you come.I have messaged you the address.

Maya:Ok.

Maya went to the place Rishab asked her to come.It was very dark.Maya got scared.

Suddenly somebody switched on the lighter.It was Rishab.Maya was relieved.

Maya:Rishab,what is this?Why did you call me here?

Rishab:Happy birthday Maya.

Maya was surprised.

Maya:You scared me with this darkness.

Rishab:When you light the candles on the cake,there will be no darkness.

Maya was surprised.

Maya:Cake is also there?

Rishab:Yes.How can a birthday be possible without cake?

Maya smiled.

Rishab led her to the table where cake was kept.She smiled seeing the cake.

He gave her the lighter.

Rishab:You spread brightness by lighting the candles.

She started lighting the candles looking at him cheerfully.

Maya:Can I cut the cake now?

Rishab:Sure.

She cut the cake while he sang:Happy birthday to you Maya..

Maya tried to put the cake piece in his mouth.He took it and put it in her mouth.She took another piece and put it in his mouth.

Maya:Thank you Rishab for making my birthday special.

Rishab:No need of thanking me as you are my friend.

She smiled.

Rishab:But when will you make me your friend?

Maya smiled:It will take time.

Rishab:Oh no…

He pouted.

Maya giggled.

Maya was working in her office.Mrityunjay came near her.

He stood up.

MJ:Sit sit Maya.No need to stand up.

Maya sat down.

Slowly Mrityunjay held her hand.She became nervous.

MJ:You know Maya?There are many staffs here.But you are my favourite.

Maya smiled shivering.

Maya:Why Sir?

MJ:Because you have the X factor which others do not have.

Maya:What’s the X factor in me?

MJ:You remind me of someone.

Maya stared at him.

Maya:Who is that someone?

MJ:My passion.

Mrityunjay left giving her a smile.

Maya got angry and said in her mind:Passion!My foot!

Rishab noticed Mrityunjay holding Maya’s hand.

Rishab thought:Why I am getting uncomfortable seeing both of them together?MJ Sir is old.He may be considering Maya as his daughter.

Rakhi showed some girls’ pictures to Rishab.

Rishab:Mom,I told you many times that I am not interested in these girls.

Rakhi:But one day you have to get married Rishab.Or do you have anyone in your mind?

Suddenly Maya’s face came into his mind.

Rishab thought:Why did Maya’s face is flashing in my mind?Do I love Maya?I think I have started feeling towards her.

He remembered all his moments with Maya and smiled.

Rakhi:Rishab,do you love anyone?

Rishab:Mom,please…

Rishab walked away.Rakhi became upset.

Kabir gave a red rose to Ruchika.

Kabir:Ruchika,will you come with me for a beach date?

Ruchika was very happy:Yes Kabir.

He caressed her face romantically.

Kabir-Ruchika went to the beach and romanced there.

Rishab sat near Maya in the canteen.

Rishab:Maya,I want to talk to you something serious.

Maya:What’s the matter Rishab?

Rishab:Maya…I will come straight to the point.My mom wants me to get married.She asked me if I have anyone in my mind.That time it’s your face which came into my mind.

Maya was shocked.

Rishab:When I think of marriage,it’s your face which is coming into my mind.Are you fine with marrying me?

Maya:Rishab!

Rishab:No hurry.Please think well and take a decision.

Rishab walked away.Maya became upset.

Kabir came.

Kabir:Hey Maya..what’s up?

Maya:How was your date with Ruchika?

Kabir blushed:It was romantic.

Maya:How did you actually propose Ruchika?

Kabir smiled.

Flash back….

On Valentine’s day Kabir knelt down before Ruchika with a beautiful artificial heart.

Kabir:First we became friends and now you are more than a friend to me Ruchika.I love you.So I am giving my heart you.Will you accept my heart?

Ruchika took the heart from him with a smile.

Ruchika:Your heart is mine Kabir.

The happy Kabir cupped her face in his hands and said:Can i steal your heart?

Ruchika:No need of stealing my heart as I myself is giving that to you.

They both smiled happily.

Ruchika knelt down in front of Kabir with a ring.

Ruchika:I have never felt so special and adorable with anyone else.I never felt so much loved with anyone else.You made me so special that for the first time in my life I fell in love with someone.Will you marry me Kabir?

Kabir could not control his happiness.

Kabir pecked her forehead and caressed her face with his hand.She closed her eyes feeling his touch.

He held her hand lovingly.

Kabir:Yes,I will marry you Ruchika.

They shared a romantic eye lock.

Present….

Maya:It was so sweet.

Kabir:It was very sweet and romantic.But why did you ask me about our proposal?

Did anyone propose you?

Maya remembered Rishab proposing her.

Maya:I simply asked.

Kabir smiled.

Mrityunjay came to the office.All were surprised as his hair was black.

He called Maya to his cabin.

He smiled at her.

MJ:How is my make over Maya?

Maya became dull.

She thought:He is trying to look younger to flirt with me.Shameless!

Maya smiled:You look young and handsome.

MJ:I was always young Maya.It’s just that my hair was grey.

Maya thought:He can’t understand that he can’t be young by colouring his hair black.But this shameless old man behaves like an over excited teenager.

Maya met a person.(He was the same person to whom Maya talked in the previous chapter).

Person:MJ had a make over?What is he upto?

Maya:He is trying to impress me.

That person was shocked.

He:We had expected that.But still…I feel shocked.How did you react?

Maya:I told him that he looks young.He is very happy.He thinks that I am impressed by his looks.

He:Be careful Maya.You are taking a dangerous step.

Maya:I know that.But you don’t worry.I am a fire which will turn MJ into ashes.

He smiled.
