The popular show Sirf Tum which recently moved from the time slot of 8:00 pm to an early evening slot of 6:00 pm is all set to witness a time leap. Along with a new track the upcoming episodes will also witness a new entry in the form of actor Raghav Tiwari.
Raghav who was last seen in Hamari Wali Good News has been roped in to essay parallel lead in Sirf Tum. The actor talked about it during a recent interview with BT and shared, “It’s the entry of a new male lead. The show is taking a time leap and my character will be introduced opposite Suhani’s (Eisha Singh) life. I play a happy-go-lucky guy, who tries to make everyone happy around him.”
He added, “My character is positive and layered, too. Suhani ki life mein ek ladya aaya hai jo uski life ko achha karna chahta hai. Now, whether his entry will result in a love triangle, only time will tell.”
When asked about the challenges of joining a show midway, he replied, “I don’t bother about these things. I only think about my character and how challenging it is. In my experience of doing TV, everything is uncertain, as storylines change overnight depending on the audience’s feedback. My character in Sirf Tum is quite challenging…that’s the reason I took it up. To be honest, I prefer playing challenging characters to romancing on screen. That allows me to do something different, learn during the course of the show and enjoy playing the part.”
He added, “As far as the fear of being overshadowed is concerned, I don’t take that into account at all. The fate of a character is decided by the audience. There were four leads in HWGN. It’s not necessary that if someone is established, a new guy can’t enter. So, I don’t believe in the concept of ‘overshadowing’, I just believe in giving my best. I don’t think about anything else other than my performance. If the audience likes my track in Sirf Tum, I am sure I will get to explore more. So, it is inconsequential whether you join a show midway or come on board on day one. What really makes a difference, is your performance.”

Now, makers, please be smart and really introduce a change in this show. It’d be genuinely fun and nice. I wanna see Suhani and this new guy together, please! Suhani deserves someone better, other than toxic annoying obsessed Ranveer.
