In October 2023, the screenplay of the acclaimed film “Country of Blind” found its place within the esteemed collection of the Oscars Library, marking a significant milestone for the movie’s creators. Expressing her elation, Hina Khan, a pivotal figure in the film, shared her excitement and hopes for a potential nomination, remarking on the rewarding culmination of relentless dedication.
“Fingers crossed for this to turn into a nomination! I am extremely happy to see all the hard work pay off in such a special way. From Cannes to the Oscars, it’s been an exciting journey,” said Khan, encapsulating the arduous yet fulfilling path the film had traversed.
The movie, which boasts an ensemble cast including Anushka Sen, Shoib Nikash Shah, Namita Lal, Inamulhaq, Pradyuman Singh Mall, and Jitendra Rai, has garnered immense affection, particularly for being an independent Indian production reaching remarkable heights.
