The finale week of Bigg Boss 16 is witnessing back-to-back evictions. Actress Sumbul Toqueer Khan was recently eliminated from the show. Her father talked about it during a recent interview and shared what he felt when he heard about her daughter’s elimination from Bigg Boss 16.

He said, “Looking at the nominations this time, I knew that Sumbul will be evicted. Once her mistake was singled out and she was put on the Nomination List, I knew what lay in store for her. Mind you, she was leading on social media and YouTube in terms of popularity. But trust me, I was the happiest in the world when I heard that she was evicted; bahut achcha hua woh evict ho gayi. That’s also because I could see the happiness on her face when she came out. Otherwise, she would have had to stay with the guilt of having nominated MC Stan and Shiv Thakare. She would have gone quiet for the next few days at least till the finale; her confidence would have been shaken.”

Talking about Sumbul being the reason for Mandali losing the task and getting nominated, he said, “My daughter is a trained dancer and I am a choreographer. She has worked on beats. She cannot get so late as it is being said. A dancer who is very good at dancing to beats cannot be slow- and Sumbul is very good at dancing to beats. Did you see the way she danced on Besharam Rang from Pathaan.”

When asked if he is suggesting that Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Stan, and Shiv blamed her estimate wrongly, he replied with a Yes.

When asked if he thinks Priyanka Chahar Choudhary can win the show owing to her popularity on social media, Toqueer said, “I don’t think Priyanka can win. Usne hamesha cheekha aur chilaya hai. Cheekhna chilana is not content, neither is doosre logon ki cheezon mein taang adhana. You can win a reality show if you are your real self out there. In that regard, I think Stan and Shiv have fitted the bill the most.”
