Arti Singh talks about her role in Shravani; says, “I am excited about playing a villain for the first time”
Arti Singh who was last seen in a cameo appearance in Udann in 2019, is best known for her portrayal of Ambha Dhillon in Waaris. Arti was also a part of Bigg Boss 13.
The actress is now super excited about her new show titled Shravani. Talking about it in a recent interview she shared, “Apart from an interesting storyline, the main dealmaker for me was the fact that I am the villain in the show. It is challenging because I have never played a full-fledged negative character. Logo ko lagta hoga ki Arti phir koi show karegi, maa bann kar aayegi, bahu bann kar aayegi. But I want to push the envelope and surprise the audience with every project. I’m excited to play the villain.”
When asked if she had any apprehensions about playing a vamp on screen and she replied, “Not at all. I would worry about these things earlier but not anymore. I want to take up projects that satiate me as an artist. All this while, I didn’t get any interesting offers. I wanted to do something meaningful and where I am the face of the show. I don’t mind the wait. What really frustrates me is doing the work that I don’t enjoy. I have done that in the past and only for the money. I had desired to become a household name, which I have. So, I am content.”
