Actor Digvijay Purohit on joining the cast of Naagin 6
Actor Digvijay Purohit who is known for his role in shows like Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Balika Vadhu, Na Aana Is Des Laado, Badi Devrani, and Udann among others has made his debut in the supernatural genre with Naagin 6.
He is essaying Sheeba Akashdeep’s husband in Imlie, which recently witnessed a leap of five years. The actor talked about it in a recent interview and shared, “Naagin is a popular franchise and I am happy to be a part of the ongoing sixth season. I have returned to TV after a long time, and what better show than this to make a comeback with? I was exploring OTT and films.”
Talking about the challenges of supernatural and mythological genres, Digvijay said, “I find the supernatural genre to be quite like the mythological one. In both cases, you have to rely a lot on your imagination while performing. The main difference is that you don’t have a reference point for a character set in a supernatural setup. You have to be really creative as a lot depends on how you perceive a character obviously under the guidance of the director and the creative team. I love creating what doesn’t exist through my imagination. That excites the artiste in me.”
Talking about Sheeba, he said, “She is very easy to work with. It is a pleasure working with her.”
