Friends I need a big help. I have to solve a math question in my test book. Please help me to solve this question. The question (See more) is:- in ABCD parallelogram , on BC line Y point is situated. Prolonged AB line and the DY line meet in the X point. How to proof that AXY triangle's area is equal to BCX triangle's area? This is the picture I had drawn according to the above guidelines.

Opposite lines of a parallelogram is equal in length and parallel to each other. In a parallelogram, if there is a triangle it's area is half from parallelogram. But the triangle has to be on the parallel lines.

If there are triangles in a parallelogram with Common base and same parallel lines , the area of those triangles are equal
