Shot 2……
{ the trio – shekhar, shomi and swara }
Hospital…..
Ragini is still lying unconscious… Swara shekhar and shomi are sitting near her..
All are worried and are thinking how will Ragini react and how will she manage……
Ragini opens her eyes….. And sees the trio worried…..
Ragini: ma…. papa… Di….
The trio comes to her…
Ragini: what has happened to me?? Just tell me…..
Swara: Ragini actually….
She stops as she remembered doc’s words that Ragini can’t hear…
Ragini looks at them….. Confused…
Ragini: what?? Just tell me please.. Don’t scare me….
Swara takes a pen and paper ? from the table and writes down something…
Paper..
Ragini… Due to your accident your hearing nerves are destroyed.. And the doc says that you won’t be able to hear now…..
Ragini reads the paper… The paper slips from her hands and the tears flows from her eyes…..
Ragini: what?? I won’t be able to hear anything now??
She cries so much… The trio also shed tears as they can’t see her like that………
Swara: look we are here with you… Don’t worry….
She tries to talk in sign language….
Ragini smiles through her tears and hugs swara….
Shekhar and shomi too joins….
The doctor comes in… The the 4 breaks the hug….
Doc: here are the reports… You can take her home… And she needs Complete bed rest for the coming 2-3 days….. Take care of her… N I’ll still suggest that send her to that school.. There she’ll be happy…. Here she’ll feel herself as a burden…
Shekhar: thank you doc….
Shomi: we’ll take care of her…..
After all the formalities are Completed… They bring ragini to their house, all have a group hug…. Ragini pastes a fake smile on her face… Thereafter they make her sleep…..
The days were passing with full speed…. The trio were taking care of ragini as a baby and every time there was someone with her. …..
Ragini was finding very difficult to adjust….
She had to leave her job… She couldn’t go out alone anywhere….. She was literally feeling herself as a burden for her family as they were quite tensed abt her…..
It was becoming difficult for them to communicate to ragini…..
One fine day……
Ragini: papa I want to go to orphanage please….
Shekhar: beta.. Y do u want to go there?? After knowing about your health they’ll also not talk to you…..
Ragini: papa please… Last time I’m asking you for something…..
Shekhar reluctantly agrees and takes her to orphanage….
All the kids come running to Ragini as soon as they see her… All surrounds her and are asking her about the wounds on her head and hands…..
Ragini feels sad as she can’t hear anything and will not be able to talk to them ever……
Ragini: listen bacho… First listen to me…..
Everyone becomes quiet…….
Ragini: I met with an accident few days back due to which…….
She gets chocked……
Om :due to which what di?? What has happened to you??
He cups her face and wipes her tears…..
Ragini: I can’t hear…
Ishana: di he said what happened to you??
Ragini smiles at her….
Ragini: Ishana… I mean to say that I have lost my hearing ability in this accident… I won’t be able to hear anything now………..
She cries as all looked on shocked…..
HEARTBEAT plays in the bg……
Sahil: di… Who crack this types of jokes???
Saumya: di if we hv hurt u then say.. But don’t say like this……
Ragini is still crying keeping her head down…. She didn’t hear anything which the kids said that shocked them…….
The tears start flowing from their eyes and they all give her a bone crushing hug……….
After few minutes of hugs… Ragini breaks the hug and wipes her’s and the kid’s tears…..
Ragini: y r u all crying??? Don’t worry.. Everything happens for some good reason only.. May be god has written something special in my destiny… You all promise me u wont cry…..
Muskaan: di how can u think so positive in this situation also……
Ragini looks at her blank…. All feels sad…. As they are not able to talk to her….
Muskaan again hugs her……… All cries……. Ragini is not able to take more and leaves from there……
The kids cries behind her and ask God to cure their ragu di…….
The day passes and today is Sunday……
Evening
Their is hulchul all over the house…… Shomi and shekhar have set everything……..
Shomi: shekhar everything is set na??
Shekhar: yeah.. Mishti u don’t worry… U go n see shona and get ready….
Shomi: okay… i’ll go n see her.. Till then get ready….
Shekhar goes to his room and Shomi comes to swara’s room and sees ragini is making swara ready….
She comes near them and applies nazar ka teeka to both of them and hugs them……
Swara is wearing a pink colour anarkali… And her hair are open with some accessories….
Shomi: shona u r looking so pretty as always….
Swara: thanks ma….
Ragini seeing them and trying to understand what they are saying but can’t……
Shomi turns towards ragini and ask her to change her clothes through actions….
Ragini nods and goes from their….
Swara: ma. I’m feeling so sad for ragu…
Shomi: ik beta… God knows what he has written in her fate…..
Both looks on…..
Ragini’s room….
She wearing a simple orange anarkali and has her hair tied in a fishtail….. Looking pretty…..
Ragini’s pov….
One week has passed… And I haven’t heard anything…… Y god has to do this with me now??? Ik everything u do is for our good but here bcoz of me everyone is sad and worried which I don’t want…….. I don’t want anyone to be sad bcoz of me…. I can’t hurt anyone……
Her thoughts are disturbed by the bell hanging infront of the dressing table which indicates that someone is there on the door…….
Ragini looks toward the door and sees shomi standing there….
Ragini: ma…
Shomi hands over a chit to her….
Chit..
Ragu beta the family has came…. When I call u just come with shona okay… She’ll tell you that u hv to take her down…. Okay??
Ragini: okay ma….
Shomi blesses her and goes down.. Ragini takes her dupatta and goes to swara’s room who’s chatting on phone with laksh ( her to be husband) …..
Ragini: with whom are u chatting with di??
Swara: it’s laksh ragu….
Swara then realizes that she can’t hear so she signs ragini to sit beside her…. Which she does….
Swara shows ragini her’s and laksh’s chat that he’s waiting fir her eagerly…. And that he loves her so much…..
Ragini smiles at this… Swara continues to chat…. While ragini is lost in thoughts…
Ragini’s pov…
Love…. How I wanted to experience this feeling of being deeply and madly with my prince charming but now….. Huh…….. Now I also don’t want to love myself then who in this world will love me… A deaf person who won’t be able to hear his heartbeat also………. ( a tear escapes her eyes but she wipes it as swara ask her to come down….)
Downstairs….
Laksh, ap and dp are sitting with shekhar and shomi……
Foe the elders it will be an arrange marriage but for swalak it’s a love marriage bcoz they know each other from before……
Ragini and swara comes down and swara touches ap and dp’s feet…. And then sits down beside ragini and opposite laksh……
Ragini smiles…..
Shekhar: dp ji… She’s our younger daughter ragini…
Swara nudges ragini and she folds her hand in namaste position and gives a warm smile to them……
Ap: she’s very pretty!!
Ragini just looks on…..
Shomi: I think we should let the children talk alone…
Dp: yeah y not…
Swalak smiles…
Shekhar: shona go and take laksh to your room and show him the house too…..
Swara nods and they both leave…..
Shomi: i’ll bring some snacks… You guys talk….
Ragini gets nervous as both swara and shomi have left… She plays with her fingers and looks on………..
Ap: so beta what do you do??
Ragini looks at shekhar for an answer..
Shekhar: she works in a firm near by….
Ap: oh.. Thats good… So you will be missing your sister after her wedding no……
Ragini smiles nervously…
Shekhar: yeah.. They both love each other so much. .. They are going to miss each other very much….
Ap and dp looks on confused…..
Shomi comes with some snacks…. And sits besides shekhar….
Dp: shekhar ji.. Is everything alright??
Shekhar: yeah..
Ap: then y is ragini not speaking anything….??
Ragini has tears in her eyes as she’s able to sense the situation coming towards her with a bang. ….. She holds her hands tightly…….
Shekhar and shomi looks at each other…..
Dp: if u want to tell anything tell it without any hesitation…
Ap: don’t worry I don’t think it will affect swalak’s relation.. So just pls tell what has happened to ragini??
Shekhar takes a deep breath and tells her the whole accident scenario and the doc’s saying that she won’t be able to hear anything……
Ap and dp looks at ragini with sympathy and also have slight tears in their eyes…..
Ap comes near her and caresses her face……
Ragini feels that ma papa has told them everything…..
Ap: y do god do this with innocent and lovely ppl??
Ap breaks down…. Shomi and shekhar looks on confused as to y she’s crying this much??
Raging can’t take it anymore.. So she runs from there and goes to her room……..
HEARTBEAT plays in the background……..
Dhak dhak
She locks the door and falls on the bed crying. …….
Ragini: y.. Y everyone has to show sympathy on me?? Y everyone sees me with that ” I feel so bad for you “look…. can’t I live a normal life again???? I don’t want anyone’s sympathy.. I still can live on my own…. I’m stro….. Strong….. ( she gets choked) I don’t want anyone’s sympathy… They think that I’ll…… I’ll not be able to lead my life just bcoz I can’t hear. …….. I’m thankful to god that he snatched my hearing ability……. ( she sobs) now at least I’ll not hear the bad things happening around me…………… I… I… I don’t want their sympathy……. I don’t want to have crutches to lead my life…….. I don’t want anyone feeling sorry for me….. I don’t want anyone………
Dhak dhak
She cries vigorously thinking about everyone giving sympathy to her and telling her if she needs anything we are always there for her…………..

She’s crying continuously until she fell asleep…….
Downstairs….
Swalak comes to the living room…
All fell sad for ragini…….
Shekhar and showing look. Towards ap who’s still crying…..
Shomi: ap ji… Its okay….. Please don’t cry..
Dp: Shomi ji… When old wounds come in front again then who can stop those tears…..
The trio look on confused…
Dp: ik u might be confused…. Actually our younger son… in a similar accident like ragini’s he lost his voice 2 months back …..
The trio are shell shocked…. Ap and laksh cries… Swara puts her hand on his shoulder……
Shomi: oh.. we are really sorry…… Hows he now?? It might be very difficult for him na……
Ap: yes it was…. He was the shining star of our family ?…… Always talking and wandering around.. Full of life…… But one accident changed his whole life……
Ap cries… Dp side hugs her………..
Dp: we can understand ur state as we hv also gone through this……
Shekhar: so where he’s now??
Dp: unfortunately we have to send him to that special school bcoz it was becoming difficult for him to live…. We couldn’t understand what he was trying to say….. He went into depression then the doc suggested us to send him to that school….
Shekhar and shomi look at each other…..
They were tensed about ragini.. They didn’t want her to go in depression……
Dp: its a really good school… all the children live there only.. All facilities are given to them……
Shekhar: have u met ur son their.. is he happy???
Dp: I can’t say whether he’s happy or not but he is now comfortable there.. We go n meet him frequently……
Shomi: where is this school??
Dp: it’s in Kolkata….
{ they are living in Delhi rgt now… }
Shekhar: Kolkata.. Isn’t it far??
Dp: it is but there is only that school which gives all the facilities to the children and handle them with care.. Its the best school for disabled children…….. ” Happy home “…… If u want I can talk to them abt ragini…
Shomi: yeah.. I think that’ll be only better for our ragini… …
Shekhar and swara also nods…….
Dp: okay then I’ll msg u all the details…
Shekhar: thank you so much dp ji……
Dp: arre.. In family no one says thanks to each other…
Everyone have a blissful yet emotional laugh….
They decide abt the marriage abt swalak and then leave after having dinner…
