Next Day –
Everybody has gathered in the garden area for breakfast in the Bhalla House. The Singhanias have also come. The elders were discussing abt the preps for the wedding. Ruhi who was coming with the tray of juices for everyone felt dizzy but ignored it. Then few seconds later same happened, everything went blurred in front of her & she collapsed while the falling & breaking of glasses drew everybody’s attention. Yaman ran to her & was trying to wake her up but she didn’t. He then carried her to the car & took her to the hospital while others followed him.
City Hospital, Mumbai –
Dr. Divya Sharma, a neurologist by profession from Australia is in the city for a while & she knew Ruhi from back there. When Ruhi was brought to the hospital she was called for her check up. After examining her she came out to find the whole family tensed especially Yaman.
Yaman :- Dr. how’s she? Is she fine? What happened to her?
Divya :- Yaman relax, calm down. Ruhi is fine now but there’s something u need to know, actually u all need to know
Ishita :- what is it Dr.?
Divya :- u all come with me. (she takes them to a small meeting room)
Yaman :- OK now Dr. u r making me freak out just tell me what happened to her?
Divya :- Yaman, Ruhi has brain tumor.
Everybody :- what?
Yaman :- Brain Tumor? But how?
Raman :- exactly how can it be? I mean Ruhi is fine, how can she have tumor?
Divya :- Mr. Bhalla pls calm down. I understand ur concern, the good thing is the tumor is not a major one it can be removed, there’s a treatment for it but……..
Yaman :- but what?
Divya :- Yaman listen to me very carefully OK. After undergoing treatment there’ll be some side affects of it the big one being is that there’s a possibility that Ruhi may not be able to bear a child.
Yaman :- Does Ruhi knows abt all of this?
Divya :- she does. She got her first attack after her last tour in Australia. She came to me & after her diagnosis I told her everything & I even told her that if she gets pregnant in this state then it’ll cost her life.
Yaman :- what do u mean?
Divya :- I mean we may lose her.
Yaman :- what? She knew everything & never told me anything.
Divya :- even I advised her to tell you everything but u know her na. All I can say ryt now to u all that just take care of her, don’t let her take stress. Just be normal wid her OK (she turns to leave but Yaman stops)
Yaman (tears-full eyes) :- Dr. can I meet her?
Divya (smiles faintly) :- yeah sure.
Yaman goes to the room in which Ruhi was admitted. He stood at the door with tears filled in his eyes. He opened the door & slowly walked towards her, she was unconscious. He sits on the stool kept besides the bed & holds her hand. She wakes up.
Ruhi (smiles faintly & tries to get up) :- Yaman….
Yaman :- no no don’t get up just lay down.
Ruhi :- what happened? U look tensed.
Yaman :- u r asking me what happened, srsly? It is I who shuld ask u, what is wrong wid u huh? Why u hid such a big thing from me? What u thought that I’ll not be able to handle it or will I leave u alone in this, huh?
Ruhi ? :- Yaman I’m sorry. I didn’t wanted u to be upset, I’m really very sorry.
Yaman :- sh…sh.. Ruhi sh… U should’ve told me. We’ve been through so much together before also we’ll get through this too. (he sits on the bed besides her in a laying position while she rests her head on his chest)
Ruhi :- Yaman…
Yaman :- hmm…
Ruhi :- marry me….
Yaman :- we will on the decided date but before that we’ll get u treated.
Ruhi :- No. Before treatment I want to marry u, start a family wid u, give u ur child……
Yaman (interrupts her) :- Ruhi, I always listened to u but now this time its u who’ve to listen to me OK. I don’t wanna lose u, I already lost my parents & Bhaiya-bhabhi & now I can’t afford to lose u.
Ruhi :- u’ll not lose me. Our child will be the token of our love, u r gonna have a part of me in face of our kid.
Yaman :- I don’t want any part of urs, I want u for lifetime & even in after life. & u srsly believe that I’ll be able to love that child who’ll be responsible for ur demise then the answer is big NO.
Ruhi :- Yaman try n understand pls…..
Yaman :- no u understand OK. We r undergoing this treatment as soon as possible OK & I don’t want any further argument over this topic again….. (Ruhi becomes all sad & it got noticed by him) Ruhi, listen what matters to me the most is u & ur happiness. The love we have for each other is enough, we don’t need any token of love to prove our love & who said that our family is incomplete, huh… We have 4 kids at home to handle & trust me out of those 4, 3 r r more tough to handle.
Ruhi (confused) :- whom r u talking about?
Yaman ? :- Mike, Mini, Vitki & Sam. Though Sam is younger but is mature compared to the rest.
Ruhi (giggles) :- yeah ryt.
They then rests in each others arms while the whole family watched them from the outside. IshRa was, though scared for their beloved daughter, were happy that she got such a gem like loving life partner who at any cost will never let any pain engulf her. Dr. Divya told them they can do the operation on any day they like, so the operation was decided to be done after 3 days.
