Yesha Rughani opens up about her exit from Hero: Gayab Mode On; says, It was abrupt but mutual

Yesha Rughani’s exit from Hero: Gayab Mode On was abrupt and has come as a shock to many. Yesha, who essayed the role of Zara on the show, talks about her exit in an interview with BT and shares, “The news of my exit from the show came to me abruptly. However, it was a mutual decision, because I was talking to the makers about the growth and future of the character. I was in conversation with them about it. Later, I got to know that the makers decided to end my track. Maybe, it was the requirement of the story and sometimes certain characters need to be handled in a particular way for the story’s development. I have done my bit and have contributed to the show and the hero’s life. Zara’s death and loss will affect Veer (Abhishek Nigam) in a major way. The show is going through a major change and this twist (her exit) was required.”

Talking about her experience with the show, she says, “Abhishek has been a sweetheart. We clicked from day one and were extremely comfortable. We became good friends during the course of the shoot, which reflected on the screen as well. We did our scenes with so much ease. I will definitely miss working with him and the unit. They had become like a family and it is always tough to say goodbye to the family.”

Yesha is now looking forward to something different and more challenging. She says, “It is time to explore new things. I have already moved on, but obviously, goodbyes aren’t easy at all. You always feel the void once you bid adieu to a show. Each character that you play leaves a mark on you. So, Zara will stay with me forever and I will cherish it.”

The makers of Hero: Gayab Mode On have roped in Tunisha Sharma to essay the female lead in the new season opposite Abhishek.
