Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is embarking on a new chapter with its 4th generation, and the channel has unveiled a promo introducing the show’s fresh leads.
In the latest promo, Samridhii Shukla, portraying the lead character Abhira, is introduced to fans. Staying true to tradition, the makers honored the show’s legacy by presenting Abhira with a shower of flowers, reminiscent of the introduction of past female leads like Pranali Rathod as Akshara. The setting this time, however, features Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) on a boat, twirling amidst a cascade of flowers.
The channel shared the promo on Instagram with the caption, “Naye rishtey se rubaroo hokar, shuru ho raha hai Abhira aur Akshara ka naya safar!”
This generation’s storyline revolves around both Akshara (played by Priti Amin) and Abhira. With the departure of Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod, who portrayed Abhimanyu and Naira in the previous generation, the torch has been passed to Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami as the new leads, portraying Abhira and Armaan.
The news of the previous cast bidding farewell and the introduction of a new generation has sparked mixed emotions among fans. While some are eagerly anticipating the unfolding story and its backdrop, others express disappointment over the lack of closure on Abhimanyu and Naira’s relationship after their reunion.
