Priyamvada, who was last seen in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH), took a break from the small screen after she lost her father to COVID in May this year. The actress went back to her hometown, Delhi, to be with her mother. The actress has now bagged a pivotal role in the show ‘Tera Mera Saath Rahe’.
In an interview with BT. Priyamvada talked about it and shared, “My father passed away during the second wave of the pandemic. I left YRKKH abruptly and didn’t take up anything post that. However, when the makers of TMSR approached me for this character, I decided to resume work.”
She added, “Life is never going to be the same again. I have not been to the sets since that unfortunate day. So, I am anxious and nervous about returning to work. I am jittery as the last time I was on a set, it turned out to be the worst day of my life on the personal front. However, I feel that I will be at peace in front of the camera and I am looking forward to the new journey. My dad, too, would have wanted me to get back to work.”
Talking about joining a show, which features actors like Rupal Patel, Giaa Manek, and Mohammad Nazim, she says, “A character like this wasn’t there in Saathiya… The makers are trying to do something new with my character. I want to see how it changes the dynamics between other characters and how the audience reacts to me. They are used to watching other artists by virtue of them playing iconic characters in SNS. So, I am curious to see how they react to my character and I am quite nervous. It’s going to be interesting and challenging, and I hope they like me in this new avatar.”
