Worship Khanna, known for his role in the show Meri Doli Mere Angana, has been cast in the upcoming series Meri Saas Bhoot Hai. The actor is delighted to be a part of the show and shares, “Meri Saas Bhoot Hai is taking a time leap. After the leap, the show will transform into episodic stories, where each week, a new story will be presented to the audience. I have already shot for the first episode.”
In this series, only the lead characters portraying the daughter-in-law and mother-in-law will remain constant, while the rest of the cast will change with each story. Worship portrays the character of Prakash, who has shades of gray. He makes a few mistakes, and that sets the stage for the unfolding story. The role intrigued him, and that’s why he decided to take it up.
Worship thoroughly enjoyed his time shooting for the show. He reminisces, “While shooting this episodic, it reminded me of my old days when I used to work on shows like Aahat and CID. The shooting process was similar, with harnesses, prosthetic makeup, and chroma shoots. All these things brought back memories of my earlier days. Although I’m not a fan of night shoots, we had to shoot at night for this particular concept. But it was a fun experience.”
Since the conclusion of his previous show Meri Doli Mere Angana in January of last year, Worship has been working on web shows. He expresses his desire to be a part of all mediums and shares, “Currently, I am looking forward to doing a daily soap that offers a continuous role. It has been a while since I last worked on a daily soap, and I am excited about the prospect.”
