Without you- Episode 1 {The Tragedy}

Hey there! For the ones who don’t know me, I’m Silent Observer… Today I’m going to start my new ff, “Without you”…. Let’s get started…

(P.S. In this story, there is no Kartik Sirat track…. which means no Aarohi too…)

Kartik, Naira their children Akshara and Kairav along with the Goenkas and the Singhanias are living a very peaceful life in Udaipur. Ever since, Dadi has accepted Naira as a daughter of their house, everything seemed to be just perfect. Even Gayu has realised her mistake and has reconciled with her sister. Everyone were extremely happy in their respective lives. Years went by….

Gayu along with her children, has shifted to US… Naksh and Keerthi have a daughter, Sonakshi….. Everything was perfectly alright…. But Alas!!!! Little did they know that their happiness is short- lived…. The Goenkas have planned a bus trip to Mumbai to their kuldevi’s temple. On their way back, their bus got into an accident and fell into a cliff. Luckily, before falling, Kartik saved his 8- year old princess, Akshu, from one side and Naira has saved her 13- year old little tadpole, Kairav (He falls unconscious) The bus falls off the cliff and within seconds, the bus crashes the ground and BOOM! There is a blast… All this tragedy is witnessed by our choti Akshara…. She is shocked….

In a trance, she walks out of that place, unable to understand what just happened… She didn’t even notice her unconsious brother lying there…. She left the place just before the police could reach there….

Upset, angry, confused, lonely….. All these words are so small to explain little Akshu’s mental condition…. She wandered all by herself in the big streets of Mumbai, an unknown city to her. In the state of shock, she didn’t even notice that it has become dark. She came annd stood in front of a building… Suddenly, she broke out in tears, remembering all the incidents that happened that day…. She still wasn’t understanding what has exactly happened….. Suddenly, she felt a bit dizzy and fell on the ground, unconscious! Just then, a well dressed man comes out of the building and as soon as he sees her unconscious, rushes to her, lifts her and takes her into the building…. (It’s actually an orphanage named ‘ Sukhibhava’)

Meanwhile, the police find Kairav at the accident spot and admit him in the hospital…. At the hospital:

Kairav gets up with a jolt… After a couple of seconds, he remembers the accident and shouts for them….. Listening his howls, the doctor along with a policeman come to him…. They ask him to calm down and tell him about the accident…

Policeman: Beta! When we reached there, everything was over…. the bus has been totally burned due to the blast and we were not even able to find the bodies of your family…. Sorry to say but I think your sister also might have been….. (pauses)

Kairav’s whole world fell apart…. He started crying remembering his good times with all his family…. The policeman asks him for his relatives details, Kairav gives the contact details of the Singhanias, his only family…. They leave him alone in the room….. He cries his heartful, remembering his mumma papa and his Akshu….

Meanwhile at the orphanage, the doctor checks Akshara’s pulse rate…. He tells Prem Singh, the owner of that orphanage and the man who helped Akshu that….

Doctor: Mr. Singh… Nothing to worry… But I think this girl has undergone some kind of a trauma…. That might be the reason of her unconsciousness…. We can tell anything when she regain conscious….

Prem: Hmm… I don’t know what trauma can this little girl have….(sees her) But, Swear to god….. She is such an adorable child…. (admires her)

All the other children come and surround her bed….

Child 1: Yes Uncle! She is so cute….

Child 2: and beautiful….

Child 3: But sad and hurt….. I hope she gets ok….

Prem: Yes children! She’ll definitely be fine…

Just then, Akshara starts murmuring and she slowly opens her eyes and is shocked to see all smiling faces….

Prem: Hello bacha! I’m Prem Singh….. Are you fine?

Akshara nods…

Doctor: Ok… now what’s your name?

Akshara: (after a pause) Aksh… Akshara…

Doctor: Very nice…. Now who are you? where are your parents???

Akshara: I… I don’t know…. I’m just getting some flashes…. ah… (closes her eyes)

Doctor: Ok…. Take your time… Relax and remember…

Akshara: (closed her eyes) I can see…. blurred visions…. Mumma, Papa, Bhaiya…. We came here…. Enjoyed…. We were going in a bus…. Suddenly, it lost balance and (panting) aha…. and they fell… they died…. (opens her eyes and starts crying)

Everyone in the room get shocked and teary eyed after listening to the story…..

Prem: Get some water for her… (takes the glass) Here…. Drink it…. you’ll feel better….

Akshara nods no….

Doctor: Acha! Do you remember anyone in your family??

Akshara nods no…. Doctor understands and signs Prem to come aside…

Doctor: Mr Singh! I was right! She has witnessed her parents’ death and she is under that trauma…. So she has forgotten details of her past exxcept for her parents’ death… Now that she is an orphan…. It’s better to let her stay here…

Prem thinks…

Aside…. A 13 year old boy, comes there and…

Boy: Hi Akshara…. Please stop crying and drink some water….

Akshara sobs and nods no….

Boy: Please… Please na Akshu…..

The word Akshu slips out of his mouth without his knowledge…. As soon as Akshara hears it something soothes her and she stops crying and obeys  him drinks water…

Boy: Good girl… Btw, I’m Vedansh…. You can call me Ved….

Akshara: (without thinking) Can I call you Bhaiya???

Hearing her sudden request, Vedansh gets emotional… Being an orphan with a tragic past, he always longed for a family, especially a sister…. Now seeing Akshara call him bhaiya… He thanked the god in his heart for fulfilling his wish…. Teary eyed, he….

Ved: Why not? From today, I’m your bhaiya and you are my pyaari behna…. Ok??

Akshara happily hugs him and calls him Bhaiya…. He hugs her back…, All the children happily hug them…. Prem, who sees this from aside, with the doctor…

Prem: I think you are right…. Akshara came into their lives for a reason…. She is a boon for these orphans… (smiles)

Next day, at the hospital:

Naksh reaches there along with Keerthi…. As soon as he heard about his sister and Kartik’s death, he was broken…. As soon as Kairav sees his maamu…. He goes and hugs him tightly and sobs….. Keerthi tries to control them both…. After sharing an emotional moment, they complete all the formalities and take him to the Singhania sadan….

This way, unknown of each other’s presence, Akshara and Kairav decide to start their lives afresh….. Let’s see what the destiny has in store for them…!
