ZEE TV’s historical magnum opus Jodha Akbar has taken a seven year leap. The story shows the new generation leads Salim and Anarkali. The show has taken a new turn and will focus on the life of Jodha and Akbar’s adolescent son Salim. Salim is attracted towards his childhood foe Anarkali and is ready to create history with his love story. While Anarkali continues to nurse strong aversion towards the royal prince, Salim poses as a commoner named Qutub to woo his girl. Anarkali maintains that Salim is a rich brat, who has been spoilt beyond all measures. Going by the past, Anarkali has painted a negative picture in her mind about the young prince. Jodha and Jalal are keen to see Salim get married and settle in life. The two are in search of an ideal daughter-in-law and the future princess of the Moghul dynasty. Salim goes out of his way to help his poor friend Farhan get married to his ladylove Bela.
Bela’s family makes all necessary arrangements to get her married to a rich guy and also sends invitation to Jalal. Salim tells Jalal that love is not a crime, and he has helped Farhan and Bela’s true love. Unaware of Jalal’s presence, Salim not only kills Bela’s groom but also manages an escape with Bela, Anarkali and Farhan. The tribal king beseeches Jalal for Salim’s grave folly and demands blood to pay back for the sin committed by the Mughal heir. Jalal is worried for Salim having killed the prince. The love story of Salim and Anarkali is going on well, but as predicted by Shakuni Bai, there will be intense hatred between them, followed by pure and strong love.
