And Tv’s Waaris recently took the leap. Mannu’s character played by Saniya Touqeer, is played post leap by Farnaz Shetty. Farnaz is seen dressed as a guy. The role is very much different for Farnaz, who made her small screen debut by Sony TV’s show Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat. She played a short role in Balika Vadhu too. After her role of Gunjan in Ek Veer Ki Ardaas- Veera, there was no looking back for the actress. Soon after Veera ended, she bagged the role of Vrushali in Suryaputra Karn.
Farnaz is now seen doing justice to Manpreet Pavaniya’s character. Farnaz has stepped in the challenging character well. The show has a unique concept, where a mother lies about her child’s gender to sustain harmony and serenity around her. Mannu’s childhood years passed anyhow, but the real problems arrive now. Mannu and Amba now have a bigger question, to keep up the lie of Mannu’s gender or not. Mannu asks Amba whether she will find a groom or bride. Based on Amba’s lie that Mannu is male, Mannu is not permitted to fall in love with a guy. The consequences of their lie will be seen affecting them more. By destiny, Mannu falls in love with childhood friend Raj Bajwa, who happens to be an enemy for Pavaniyas. Mannu’s truth will be coming up as the track progresses.
