Watering you with my Love- Drabble by Jerry OS

Shivaay woke up with a start. His mind still rang of the sweet blabbering of the dumbbell Oberoi. “Bhaiya, please prepare my shaving kit. Tomorrow I have to go to the trekking trip, and you know what, every damn single girl will be there. The one those with curly hairstyles, whom I can play with and those straight ones which seem more than inviting. Of course I would have done that myself but you know I am exhausted, just wanted to sleep tight so that I can woke up refreshed. I had Sumo to do that, but I know she would be snoring ! I can’t disturb her beauty sleep, after all she is gonna get married to the most handsome man of India. This is just like my bachelor’s party, let me savour a few moments of that. And I know for sure, you are the best Bhaiya in the world and you would do that.” He had said, with those irresistible puppy eyes for whom he couldn’t say no. “Okay…” He tried fitting words but was interrupted by him. “Thank you so much Bhaiya. I love you !” He had said not before giving him a kiss on his cheeks.

“Rudra bhi na..” he said and occasionally spared a look to see his wife, Anika. Ever since she has entered his life it had become more exciting to live, everyday he would wake up with a new hope to care for her and of course romance with her ! He didn’t leave a chance to do that and sometimes she had to be embarrassed.

He lingered his palm over her forehead, trying to remove the worry lines. She instantly smiled in her sleep. He too smiled. “I woke up early, maybe I can sleep a little more and when I have a beautiful wife like her, should I mind..??” He said as he slipped under the covers with her. He cupped her head just like a protective parent do to their child. He kissed her cheeks gently holding her as softly as possible and closed his eyes.

“Shivaay, do you have any plans to wake up ?” She asked elbowing him. He rubbed his eyes and saw himself next to his wife. “What time is it, Pannika ?” He replied still in his sleepy mode.

Anika loved his state at the moment. He was looking so adorable. He was not the Shivaay Singh Oberoi the world knows, now he was only Anika’s Shivaay, cuddled next to her. She loved him like anything. His eyes that were flickering were of sky blue shade, making her drown in them. She ran his hand through his messy hair, “Shivaay, it’s 9:30.”

“What..?” He said startled astonished by the information. He got up, settled his hair and rushed to the washroom. She laughed seeing his state, “Typical Billu ji !!”

“Rudra would be leaving any time for his trip. I have to do it fast.” He mumbled and searched for the razors, shaving brush and the shaving cream. He searched for long and then failed to find. “Anika !!” He shouted over the door. “Hmm” she replied coming to the washroom. “What happened Shivaay ?” She said looking confused. “Aare, do you know where is the Shaving Cream..?” He asked. Her expression took a turn and were horrified. She quickly went up to him and touched his stubble. “Please, don’t shave it, you look so handsome, with it !” She exclaimed. He smiled sheepishly. “Dearest Anika, I am not shaving, I am packing the kit for Rudra, he is going for the trekking camp na..” he said trying to make her understand. “Oh !” She said gleeful. “By the way thanks for the compliment, after so many days finally I got an appreciation from you.” He said passing a flying kiss to her. She turned the other side red.

“Let me see, it is good or not ?” He thought and applied the cream to the shaving brush. As soon as the cream found its house in the brush, a sudden smile of mischief replaced Billu ji’s cute smile. “Anika, I am coming !” He said to himself approaching her.

“What are you doing Mrs Shivaay Singh Oberoi ?” He asked hands folded at the back in his own tadi. She smiled seeing her husband’s concern over her. “Nothing Shivaay, was just cleaning the bed.” “Oh !” He said and moved his hand forward casually. “What is this Anika?” He asked. “Ummmm…shaving brush !” She said scratching her petite head. He instantly wiped her face with that, leaving her shocked for the moment. She was taken aback. Trying to comprehend the situation she glanced at him, and found him laughing holding his tummy. He looked cute, very cute but now she was angry. She fluctuated her nose and commenced taking steps towards him. Acknowledging her act, he ran all the way to the bed, jumping and doing gymnastics creating a hulabaloo in the room. She also ran behind him, now the anger was replaced by love.

“I will not leave you Shivaay !” She said and went to the washroom. She filled a mug full of water and stood before him hands folded. “Anika, you look like a witch ! White face, I think you should apply a red lipstick too !” He said going hysterical over the face of her wife. “What is this Shivaay ?” She asked showing him the mug with all her innocence. “Ummmm…mug full of..” before who could say further, he was drenched. The early morning welcomed him with a splash on his face.

Now it was her turn, she laughed much to his amusement. “Beautiful mess !” He exclaimed under his breath.

The turns got over, now both of them were watering the other, taking full advantage of the situation making the room flood. They were watering, watering each other with Love.
