Part 9: Engagement
The whole engagement function was completed with lots of happiness and joy. Swara and sanskar were teased a lot making them blush. All the guests went back but not before blessing the couple.
Sanskar decided to show swara their garden as he told her yesterday.
Sanskar (hesitatingly): mom
Sujata: yes beta
Sanskar: Can I take… ummm… swara to our garden. I told her yesterday that whenever she will come to the house, I will show her the garden.
Laksh (teasingly): Say directly that you want to spend some time alone with her.
Sanskar (little embarrassed): It’s nothing like that.
Sujata: stop teasing him Laksh. And sanskar you can take her.
Sanskar smiles widely in his mind. He then looks at swara who was smiling shyly. She took baby steps and they went into the garden which was behind the mansion.
While the family others smiled at their shyness.
Shomi: sujataji, now we are officially samdhis. I invite to for dinner at our house and please don’t say no.
Sujata looked at Rp who gave a nod.
Sujata: ok shomiji. We will come tomorrow for dinner. And we can also decide the marriage date of swara and sanskar.
Arjun was playing with aryan and he listened to all the talks of the elders. He thinks something and smirks naughtily. He goes to them.
Arjun: ma, Aunty… what if we don’t tell about this to di. It would be a great surprise for her.
All the elders smiled.
In the garden…
Swara was totally mesmerized by this enchanted garden. There were beautiful flowers with all kinds of colours. Sanskar could sense that she loved the garden.
Sanskar: So how did you find my gardening.
Swara (admiring the garden): It’s beautiful.
Swara touches the flowers softly with her soft hands and smiles. A smile formes on sanskar’s face as he sees her smiling with twinkling eyes. The moonlight on her face was making her more beautiful and innocent. Swara was busy in admiring the garden, just then she feels an intense gaze on her. Her heart beat increased. She slowly turned and saw sanskar looking at her… not looking but admiring her cute innocent face.
He comes closer to her increasing her heart beat. He raises his hand traces his knuckles on her soft and chubby cheeks making her breath uneven. He slowly took her left hand and kissed her ring which he made her wear. Swara closed her eyes due to shyness. He then cupped her one cheek and leaned towards her ear leaving hot breaths on her soft skin.
Sanskar (whispered huskily): You are looking beautiful today and this moonlight increased your beauty. I wish to stare you like this throughout my whole life.
Swara opened her eyes as soon as she heard his talks. She tilted her head and looked at him. They shared a cute romantic eyelock. And their romantic moment was broken by a laksh.
Laksh: Sanskar, swara
Sanskar came out of his dream (yup…. that was all his dream). Sanskar scratched his head with a shy smile.
Laksh: Swara, sanskar… let’s go in as swara’s family is leaving for their house.
Swara nods and goes in. Sanskar was going to go in but laksh held his elbow.
Sanskar turned and looked at him questioningly.
Laksh (teasingly): So, how was it?
Sanskar (confused): What?
Laksh: Your time with your fiancee…. did you do any romantic talks with her or not?
Sanskar (embarrassed): Bhai please… there are more things to talk about other than romantic ones.
Saying this goes away with an embarrassed yet shy face.
Laksh: Looks like I have to teach him a lot.
Laksh also follows sanskar. Sanskar entered the mansion and saw swara taking blessings from sujata, rp and hugging ragini. Swara looked around and saw sanskar. He secretly waved her bye. Swara smiled and waved him bye without anyone’s notice.
SAME NIGHT IN SWARA’S ROOM.
Swara laid down on the bed and gazing at her ring. She smiles remembering the moment when sanskar slid the ring on her finger. Now she was officially his half wife. Swara smiles shyly and sleeps hugging the pillow.
The Same condition was of sanskar who was sitting near the window and gazing at swara’s picture on his phone. His cheeks become little red as he remembers his dream.
Sanskar (monologue): Oh god, that was the first time I saw this type of dream. What is happening to me? I feel so happy whenever I am around her. Today I took so much time to get ready just to look good for her, which I never did. Whenever I look at her, I feel like keep seeing her like that throughout my whole life. My heart beat increases when she looks at me. I don’t know what this feeling is but I know that this feeling is only for swara.
NEXT DAY EVENING…
This day two things were going to happen. First, the maheshwari family is coming to dinner and swara has no idea about it and secondly, today arjun’s results were going to be released. The maheshwari family departed from their house. Sanskar, RagLak in one car and RamTha and aryan in another car.
At gadodia house arjun was sitting on the sofa, biting his nails due to tension and nervousness about his results. He was very scared. He did do the hard work but he was still scared as the exam was very hard. Due to that nervousness, he told swara to see his results first. Swara was sitting opposite to him, on the sofa, seeing his results on the laptop. Swara widened her eyes as he sees his results.
Swara (shockingly): Arjun!
Arjun stood up and asked worriedly, “How’s my results di? Is it bad?”
Swara put the laptop on the table and stood up with a little anger on her face.
Swara: I never expected this from you arjun
Shomi and shekhar looked at swara and arjun. Arjun got more worried and made a cry face.
Arjun (choking): Did I got low marks? I should have done more hardwork. I should have studied more.
Shekhar: But shona, what did he got?
Swara (giving the laptop to shekhar): You yourself have a look baba.
Shekhar was also shocked seeing the results and looked at swara and then at arjun.
Arjun (nearly crying): I am sorry ma… I am sorry baba
Swara (holding her waist angrily): Now what is the point of saying sorry when the exams are done and results have been released. Arjun, I seriously never expected such marks from you.
While swara was scolding arjun, the maheshwari family already came inside the house.
Sanskar (monologue): Finally we reached gadodia house. I am just want to swara’s face. I wonder what she would be doing? When we entered the house, I saw swara scolding arjun. She was talking about results. Does it means that arjun got very low marks? I can’t believe that as I myself saw his certificates. He a very bright guy. For the first time, I saw angry swara.
After few minutes of scolding, there was a complete silence for few seconds. Swara and shekhar looked at each other, then at arjun who was bowing his head down and then eyed each other again. They couldn’t suppress the laugh burst out laughing. Everyone was confused. Arjun looked at swara and shekhar with an amused expression.
Swara pulled arjun’s cheeks, “Awww, my little brother. You just didn’t pass your exam but (excitedly) you came first in the whole college.”
Saying this she hugged arjun. Shomi looked at shekhar and swara unbelievingly. Arjun was in shock that he didn’t react to the hug.
Arjun (shocked): Wh…what?
Swara broke the hug.
Swara: Yes Mr. Arjun Gadodia. You came first in the college. I am proud of you
Arjun: It means…
Swara: It means that it was all prank.
Arjun (little anger): Di, you were doing prank
Swara: Yes, is there any rule that only you can do pranks on me.
Arjun: I will not leave you di.
Saying this he was caught swara but she ran away. Swara was running and giggle while arjun was running behind her.
The whole maheshwari family were admiring the brother-sister duo. Sanskar was surprised seeing the naughty shade of swara. He didn’t know that swara can be so much naughty. Indeed he has more to see and find about her other shades and talent. Shomi saw the family standing. She was trying to tell arjun and swara but they very mush engrossed in their chasing.
As swara didn’t notice the family, she dashed with sanskar’s hard muscular chest making her fall down. But she could fall down, sanskar held her waist tightly while swara held his collar and closing her eyes due to fear.
Arjun (whispers): Wah, jiju always comes on time.
When swara feels safe and protective, she slowly opens her eyes and made them bigger as she sees sanskar. She shocked seeing sanskar infront of her. She blinked her eyes few times to check if it is a dream but it wasn’t. Whereas sanskar chuckles in his mind seeing swara’s cute antics and expression. Sanskar pulled her.
Swara (shockingly): A..aap, yaha (you here)
Sanskar (smiling): Ji (yes)
Everyone giggles seeing swara’s shocked expression.
Arjun (teasingly): So di, how did you like our surprise.
Swara: Surprise
Arjun: yup, ma invited your in-laws for dinner and all of us decided to surprise you.
Swara looks around and RamTha, RagLak and aryan standing and smiling. Swara bows her head down as she was running like a child infront of them. She was being mischevious infront of her in-laws. She was little embarassed. Ragini understood her inner turmiol and went to her.
Ragini: Uffo, swara. Why are you getting embarassed? These things are normal in our house. We are happy that my to be devrani is little mischevious. Atleast my boring brother in law will learn to have some fun in his life. So don’t get embarassed… ok
Swara smiles and nods.
Precap:
Ragini (smiling naughtily): Sanskar, taste the kheer first.
Swara straightens her back and looks at sanskar who took a spoonfull of kheer and ate it.
Arjun: How’s it jiju
Sanskar: Yummy, it’s so delicious. I just want to kiss those hands who made this delicous kheer.
Swara, who was drinking water, choked and started coughing. Shomi rubbed her back and smiled teasingly. Not just shomi but ragini and arjun also gave teasing smile
