Part 11: Promotion from sanskarji to sanskar
Swara and sanskar came downstairs. The blush was not leaving swara’s cheeks. She could still feel the warmth and heat of that kiss on her forehead. Sanskar was also partly blushing as he was so close to a girl whom he started admiring since he met her. Swara, straight away went to the kitchen while sanskar was standing in the hall.
He saw aryan happily jumping but he couldn’t find laksh. Sanskar went to ragini.
Sanskar: Bhabhi, where is bhai?
Ragini: Laksh went to the maheshwari mansion.
Sanskar (confused): Maheshwari mansion, Why? Any problem?
Ragini: no sanskar babu. You know that tomorrow is a bank holiday and everyone is having the holiday. So, we have decided to stay here tonight and go to the picnic tomorrow. Then we will go back to our mansion in evening. Therefore, laksh has gone to the mansion to get our clothes.
Sanskar (excited): really.
Ragini looked at him teasingly.
Sanskar composed himself, “I mean…ummm…uhhh…. nothing”
Saying this he goes and sits with shekhar and Rp. Ragini chuckles seeing his nervousness and excitement. She remembers how this sudden plan was made.
Flashback starts…
SwaSan were upstairs, on the terrace. Arjun was sitting on the sofa and was in deep thoughts. After few minutes he smiled widely as he got an idea. He went towards ragini.
Arjun: Ragini di
Ragini: Yes arjun.
Arjun: As you know that tomorrow is bank holiday then obviously everyone is having holiday… right
Ragini: Yes
Arjun: You also know that di and jiju need to be pushed to be open up to each other… correct
Ragini: 100% correct
Arjun: What if you all stay here tonight and we all go to the picnic tomorrow? Like this, di and jiju will spend more time with each other and we will have our little family outing…what say?
Ragini smiles and says, “hmm… the idea is not that bad. Let me talk to ma regarding this.”
Arjun: ok
Ragini goes to sujata and rp and tells her the plan. Sujata and ram happily nod.
Aryan (started jumping happily): Yehhhhh…. now I will stay with chachi. I will listen storied from her.
Sujata: Laksh, you go and bring our clothes from home for tomorrow.
Laksh: ok ma
Laksh goes away whereas aryan was still jumping happily.
Flashback ends.
Arjun: Di
Ragini: yes
Arjun: jiju got to know but Di still does not know about it.
Ragini: So… let’s go and tell her.
Ragini and Arjun went to the kitchen and see swara cleaning the slabs.
Ragini: come in Sanskar, why are you standing there
Swara immediately left her work and looked at the doorstep but only saw ragini and Arjun standing and giggling.
Swara looked at them nervously.
Arjun: oh my god Di, you are sooo… cute and innocent.
Ragini: very true Arjun, I swear I have never seen a grown up with so much cuteness.
Swara bows her head down blushingly. Arjun went and wrapped his hand around swara’s shoulder.
Arjun: We have a good news for you
Swara (questioningly): good news?
Ragini: yes my devraniji, a good news… that is… we all are staying here tonight and will be going to the picnic tomorrow.
Swara’s lips form a beautiful smile.
Swara (innocently and cutely): sach
Arjun (imitating swara): Much
Swara flares at Arjun while he just laughs.
Ragini: Ji devraniji and… you will also more time to spend with (winking at Arjun) your cute fiancé.
Swara looks down shyly while ragini and Arjun were teasing her. Finally, sujata and shomi came to her rescue.
Shomi: Arjun, how much you will tease your sister. See how much she is shying.
Arjun (jokingly): Soon she will become tomato is she keeps blushing like this.
Swara hugged shomi, hiding her face in her chest. Shomi broke the hug and kissed her forehead.
Shomi: Shona, go and give arjun’s night clothes to sanskar.
Swara: ji ma
Arjun: Enjoy… enjoy.
Swara gives ‘please-stop-it’ look.
Shomi: Stop it arjun.
Swara goes to arjun’s room and takes out a light green t-shirt and white pants. She went to the hall and was looking around for sanskar. Then she saw him standing in a corner and checking his emails. Sanskar facing his back.
Swara didn’t know how gain his attention then she finally called his name, leaving sanskar in shock as he never heard his name from her mouth.
Swara: Sanskarji
A smile formed on his lips as he heard his name. His name couldn’t be as meodious as it is sounding now from her mouth but he frowned a little as he heard ‘ji’ from her mouth. He turned around and saw swara holding the night clothes.
Swara: Woh, here are the clothes for night.
Sanskar while taking clothes from her, “Thank you”
His brushed a little with hers, creating a spark. Swara looked at him and he looked at her. They got lost in each other’s eyes. After few seconds swara came into senses and took her hands back.
Sanskar: where is arjun’s room?
Swara: I will take you there.
Swara walked towards arjun’s room while Sanskar followed her. They reached the room. Swara was going to go but Sanskar interrupted.
Sanskar: Swara
Swara stopped and turned around.
Sanskar: my name does not have Ji
Swara looked at him surprisingly, “huh”
Sanskar: you called me sanskarji downstairs but my name does not have Ji so.. call me Sanskar.
Swara: how can I?
Sanskar looked at her questioningly.
Swara: I mean, I respect you and you are going to be my husband.
Sanskar: does that mean, I should also call you swaraji as I also respect you a lot and you are going to be my wife.
Swara was astonished. Sanskar came little closer to her.
Sanskar: Swara, we are going to be husband and wife so everything should be equal between us. I understand it is your moral but I am saying to call me only Sanskar. I would love it when you will call me by name without any Ji. And about respect, it comes from heart. Even shomi aunty calls Shekhar uncle by his name, that does not mean that she does not respect him… so will you call me Sanskar from now on.
Swara understood what he is trying to say. She nods her head in a yes and starts to go Sanskar held her index finger with his and intertwined them, making her stop. She slowly turned around. She looked at their intertwined fingers and then at him. He came little closer to her, managing a safe distance from so that he does not make her uncomfortable. Swara’s heart accelerated.
Sanskar: Will you call my name once… please
Swara looked down and smiled shyly.
Swara (shyly): S..Sanskar, aap change karke niche ajayega (you come downstairs after changing your clothes)
Saying this she runs away. Sanskar chuckles and runs his fingers through his hair.
Sanskar: I am loving my name today.
Saying this he goes into bathroom to change his clothes.
Precap: Everyone playing truth or dare. Swara singing a song.
