PART 14: PICNIC

Both of the families were standing outside the gadodia house waiting for the van. After few minutes of waiting, the van and stood in front of them. All of them went inside and sat down in their respective seats. Poor sanskar, was standing at the doorstep of the van and looking around for a seat. He couldn’t find one except one beside swara and that too last corner seat.

Yet again it was the planning of laksh, ragini and Arjun as they know how shy both are in terms of these things. The trio has vowed that they will bring these two introverted, shy people closer and closer, till their hearts don’t become one.

Laksh (smiling teasingly): What happened sanskar? Go and sit beside swara.

Sanskar: umm..yeah.

Sanskar went and sat beside swarm who playing with her fingers due to nervousness and shyness. Her back straightens as he sat beside her, she could smell his manly scent.

Arjun: Driver, let’s go.

The driver nods and starts.

Swara wanted some fresh some air, therefore, she started opening the window but it was jammed so it was not opening. Swara tried to open the window with her full strength but it wasn’t opening.

Sanskar noticed her struggling to open the windows. Sanskar raised his one hand to help, in this process his hand touched her soft hands. When swara felt his warm broad hand on hers, she tilted her head and looked at him.

Sanskar looked at her, into her beautiful hazelnut innocent eyes and swara looked into his black orbs in which she was seeing her reflection. They could feel each other’s breath on their faces, giving tickling sensations in their stomach.

Swara took her hand back and looked down at her lap shyly making sanskar smile. He can never stop himself smiling whenever he sees her smiling shyly and her cheeks getting red due to blush. He opened the window for her and took his hand back.

Swara looks out of the window. Her hairs were flying due to the wind hitting her. Some of her hair strands touched sanskar’s face which made him look at her. She was looking so pure, so innocent… just like an angel with her closed eyes, a cute smile and hairs flying. Unknowingly he started admiring her. His eyes couldn’t move from her face.

Laksh smirked naughtily and whispered something in ragini’s ear. She smiled and said something in aryan’s ear. Aryan, like an obedient son… ran towards his chachu and chachi. Sanskar came to his senses when aryan sat in sanskar’s lap.

Both of them started talking aryan. Just then gestured both of them to kiss him on his cheeks.

Both of them bent down to kiss aryan’s cheeks. But naughty aryan, bent down and ran towards his parents… leaving shocked SwaSan behind. Their faces were an inch apart. They were looking at each other with surprised and shocked expression.

Swara gulped down her saliva due to nervousness and their proximity. She immediately straightened her back and looked out of the window with a flushed face.

Sanskar looked at the opposite side with an embarrassed yet red face. He took a sight thinking that what would have happened if they would not have stopped on time. Their lips were about to touch but thankfully they realized on time that aryan wasn’t there. He could hear giggling sounds of laksh, ragini and arjun. He realized that it was all their planning.

Laksh slowly turned his head and looked at sanskar as if nothing happened. Sanskar gave him like ‘Why are you doing this look?’ Laksh chuckled seeing his expressions and turned around.

Sanskar looks at swara from the corner of his eyes who was gazing at the sceneries passing by but he could little shades of pink colour on her white cheeks which were still there.

Sanskar moved his gaze from her and started checking emails on his phone… replying to his clients. He is mostly found checking emails on his phone during such trips with family but this time, he was on his mobile phone to control himself… his uneven breaths… to distract himself from that one moment.

But was he able to forget that moment…NO! His mind and heart went back when her beautiful face was close to his. Her big doe innocent eyes were bigger due to shock, her cute little nose, her soft petal-like lips which were apart, her white cheeks which was slowly getting red and how can he forget that little black mole on her left chin which was really attracting him. He took few deep breaths and started trying to concentrate on the emails he was checking.

Whereas swara’s condition was no less than a newly wedded girl who is waiting in the room waiting for her husband on their first night. She was clutching her kurti in her fist, trying to control her accelerating heartbeat.

The rest of the journey went like this. After about half an hour they reached the place which laksh has decided. Everyone came out of the van. The gadodias were spellbound seeing the scene in front of them. A waterfall was falling down by several steps of stones which formed a big river. There was greenery everywhere around the bank of the river… some colourful flowers growing, working as a cherry on the top.

Arjun (admiring the natural beauty): This place is so beautiful… how did you all know about this place.

Laksh: My grandpa knew about this place. This place is so calming and peaceful… we often come here to spend our holidays.

Shekhar: This is indeed such a beautiful place.

The ladies put the sheet on the ground with snacks and juice on it.

Arjun: Let’s go and play badminton

Shekhar: You youngsters play the game… we are okay here.

Rp: Shekharji, is correct… you all go.

Laksh: ok papa

The youngsters formed two teams. Laksh, Arjun and aryan in one team whereas Swara, Sanskar and ragini in one team.

Both teams were playing badminton really well. Laksh hit the shuttlecock hardly with his racquet. Sanskar started moving back to hit the shuttlecock. He didn’t see the rock therefore he tripped. Swara saw him falling down on the ground.

Swara: Sanskar!

Swar held his hand but alas she too fell down with him on the ground. They rolled a little due to the sloppy ground.

Swara was on top of Sanskar, who was hiding her face in his chest with eyes closed whereas Sanskar was gazing at swara, holding her by her waist. Other youngsters were first shocked… later went little far from them to give them privacy. Sanskar’s heart was beating at its maximum speed as now they were really close. Their bodies were touching each other fully. He could smell her nice scented shampoo.

Sanskar (softly): Swara

As she realised that both of them are safe but wait… she realised one more thing… she was lying fully on sanskar. Thousand of shivers ran through swara’s spine as she realised their proximity. She slowly looked up to sanskar, who was already gazing her. Swara lowered her eyes. She moved her hands from his broad shoulders and tried to stand up but she slipped and fell on sanskar again.

Sanskar: Umm… wait.

Swara looked at him and the next second she was under him. Sanskar’s hot breath was fanning her face. Swara looked at the other side… not able to bear his gaze and their proximity. Sanskar stood up and forwarded his hand towards swara.

Swara saw his hand. She looked at him and then at his hand. She hesitantly put her hand on his. Sanskar held her soft hand firmly and helped her in standing up.

There was an awkward silence between them. Both of them broke the ice together.

SwaSan: Are you okay?

Both of them were surprised at first and later smiled.

SwaSan: Yes I am…

Again there was a silence as they couldn’t come out of what just happened a few minutes ago.

Swara (while looking down with a blush on her face): I think we should go.

Sanskar hummed.

Precap: Sanskar going to London for one and a half week.
