The episode starts with indra dev guiding young nandi. Nandi says how do I get darshan of my prabhu? How do I become his disciple and stay by his side? Indra dev says nandi, look at the mangoes, some are yellow but there are green ones too, those are not yet ripe! Just like the green mangoes, even you have not learned everything, to attain mahadev, you have to pray to him and meditate in his name, he will be impressed and then you shall be his true disciple. Nandi does as told and he sits for meditation under the same mango tree, he starts praying om namaha shivay and prays for years and years to come.
As nandi prays, many ants together build an anthill around nandi as nandi sits inside the anthill and prays under harsh condition. For years nandi prays as he grows up too, devi laxmi says nandi is praying such that his voice resonates in the universe but yet mahadev hasn’t appeared, what is happening?
Parvati sees from Kailash and says I am still waiting for nandi to complete his meditation, he will bring back my prabhu to Kailash and my prabhu will finally meet his friend and disciple, his own avatar, nandi.
Nandi prays and prays for years and then one day as mahadev sits in a graveyard, he turns back normal and meditates as he hears the voice of nandi meditating in his name. mahadev walks and parvati see mahadev, she is finally happy. Mahadev goes to nandi and he blesses, nandi becomes normal and the anthill disappears. Nandi opens his eyes and is happy to see mahadev, he has tears and does pranam to mahadev. Mahadev blesses nandi and holds his hand and says I have come to take you to Kailash, mahadev walks towards Kailash holding nandi’s hand.
All gods and goddesses are happy. Parvati tells all gan to prepare and decorate for a grand welcome. Lord Vishnu and brahma dev say mahadev is finally happy as he got his true friend and disciple.
Mahadev and nandi are welcomed in Kailash by everyone, with love and a grand welcome. The five river goddesses that answer to mahadev, pour water and spray flowers on nandi as he is welcomed. Mahadev blesses nandi that whoever prays to nandi in future and offers him the water of these rivers, they shall be free from their sins, and nandi you shall marry the daughter of murat, Suyashi. And as a third blessing, you shall be free from death and shall always live in Kailash for eternity and all your ancestors and your father shall get a place in Kailash, in their afterlife. Parvati thanks nandi for bringing mahadev to Kailash and out of his meditation, he brought a relation between mahadev and rishi shilad as a father and son, so from now you shall always be my son.
Nandi says mahadev, you have given me the greatest boons but I ask one more, I want to be the greatest friend of yours and shall always wish to stay with you, I always want to be with you and on your banners, I want to be your mount and to stay on the path to serve you, I wish to be a devotee who is always near you to serve you and that no one shall stand between you and your disciple. Mahadev blesses nandi! Nandi takes his cow form and mahadev makes him the leader of the ganas.
Mahadev is very happy as it seems from his face. Parvati says I am happy to see swami so happy and in peace, the face I longed to see. Ganesh praises nandi for being the closest one to mahadev’s heart and his truest disciple.
Ravana gets angry and says I have done what no one could, I sacrificed everything and then got prabhu’s aatma ling. Ravana says nandi is nothing to me as I prayed for years and did meditation. Ganesh says still nandi holds the closest position to mahadev, in his heart. Nandi appears in his nandishwar form and ganesh takes blessings. Ganesh tells ravana to take his blessings too but ravana doesn’t even look at him. Ganesh says this would be his humiliation and also mahadev’s as he is mahadev’s avatar.
Ravana says if I look at him, I would laugh after seeing his monkey face which I saw in Kailash. Nandi is angry and he says ravana, you mock me and this your arrogance that speaks, remember what I say! Your arrogance shall bring your end soon. Nandi says your devotion is spoiled, it has become unholy and you think you can take the aatma ling with you to lanka? Ravana says you will stop me? Nandi says recall ravana, even the gods together couldn’t move me and I lift the weight of mahadev, stopping you is easy for me. Ravana says I have proved myself by lifting Kailash, so no one can stop me even if they want to.
