Veteran actor Salim Ghouse passes away at the age of 70

Veteran actor Salim Ghouse passed away at the age of 70 on April 28. Born in Chennai, Salim was known for his role in several Indian movies, television shows, and theatre. Along with being an exceptional actor, Salim was also a theatre director, dubbing artist, and martial artist.

The late actor will always be remembered for his role in shows like Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, Subah, Bharat Ek Khoj, X Zone, and Samvidhaan. He is popularly known for essaying the role of Rama, Krishna, and Tipu Sultan in Shyam Benegal’s TV Series Bharat Ek Khoj. He has also worked in Wagle Ki Duniya.

Salim also gave his voice to the role of Scar in the Hindi version of 1995 The Lion King. The late actor also proved his caliber in popular movies like Koyla, Shapath, Aks, Well Done Abba, Saaransh, and Swarg Narak among others.

His demise is a big loss to the entertainment industry. May the soul rest in peace.
