Veronica Talreja Set to Channel Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Poo in Ekta Kapoor’s New Show ‘Pitah’ – Embracing the Iconic Role with a Twist

Actress Veronica Talreja, renowned for her stint in ‘Kumkum Bhagya,’ is gearing up to recreate the beloved character of Pooja, fondly known as Poo, portrayed by Kareena Kapoor Khan in ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ for television audiences. Her role in the upcoming TV show ‘Pitah,’ produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, has Veronica excited to step into this iconic avatar once again.

Speaking with ETimes TV, Veronica expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I’m thrilled to collaborate with Balaji Telefilms again for their next venture. I’ll be playing Vidya, one of the lead characters, in a storyline centered around three sisters. I’ll be portraying the essence of the iconic Poo from Karan Johar’s K3G, and I couldn’t be happier.”

Describing her character Vidya, Veronica elaborated, “Vidya is a young, stylish woman who prefers being addressed as ‘V’ rather than her full name. She embodies an attention-seeking persona, considering herself the focal point in her world. Despite her penchant for delegating tasks to friends and a slightly spoiled side, she isn’t inherently malicious.”

Commending Ekta Kapoor, Veronica expressed her gratitude, stating, “I’m pleased to be part of her show. Ekta has always nurtured young talents, assisting them in realizing their acting dreams. I’m immensely thankful for this opportunity to portray such a compelling role.”

Having previously portrayed the character of Mili in ‘Kumkum Bhagya,’ Veronica, who resides solo in Mumbai but hails from Indore, is passionate about showcasing her dancing talent. She aspires to participate in dance reality shows like ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ or explore roles in dance-centric television programs, aligning with her background as a professional dancer.

Veronica’s diverse portfolio includes appearances in shows like ‘Deewani,’ ‘Dharmputra Nandini,’ showcasing her versatility as an artist within the television industry. Her upcoming portrayal of Vidya, reminiscent of Poo from ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,’ promises an engaging and intriguing character interpretation that audiences eagerly anticipate.”
