At home Ratan fetches some moeny from the drawer and Veera asks whats its for, ratan says its for some work she has but Veera keeps asking what work when chaiji comes and tells Veera to stop her questions and leave for gurudwara…
Niahl is passing through the fields and thinking of how he’d repay Sampooran’s loan and says to himself that he will have to tell Ratan the whole story…He spots Ranvi staring at the barren land and asks him what he’s ding there without Veera…Ranvi tells Nihal about the land and his papaji’s dream to build an agricultural school on it…He tells Nihal of how Sampooran would come there every basant panchmi nd share his dreams with him…Nihal says that he should fulfill his dad’s dream when he is grown up but Ranvi says he can’t concentrate on his studies
At the gurudwara, Ratan,Veera and chaiji take blessings and go and sit with the ladies…Veera finds no place between the women so she goes and sits on Ratan’s lap…Chaiji smiles to see Veera with Ratan…Ranvi come to the gurudwara as well and the priest gives a small speech about basant panchmi …he tells everyone that a special langar has been organized by Sampooran’s family in Veera’s honour…Veera is happy and asks Ratan if she arranged the langar for her…Ratan is uncomfortable and says its from their family…and Veera cutely kisses Ratan on her cheek and says she is the best…Ranvi is happy to see them bond…
Ranvi and family are serving langar to everyone and Ranvi tells them to give Veera blessings and pray for her safety always…Bansuri and family arrive at the langar and Ranvi tells Balawant that he’ll sort some place for them…Balwant asks him to serve other people first…he sighs and tells Bansuri how Sampooran always started new projects on basant panchmi and he’s barely done anything new this year…Bansuri says he can atleast announce or pretend to start something and think about it later to avoid embarrassment…Nihal comes to Balwant and says he needs to talk about something…Bansuri taunts him and twists her words and hints on his special connection with Sampooran’s family indirectly accusing him of his interest in Ratan…Balwant is annoyed but says nothing as usual…Bansuri is then called to have langar…Nihal then tells balwant all about Sampooran’ dream and Ratan notices him…
The kite competition is announced by Kartar and Balwant takes the men to have lassi while the kids make their kites…the women folk are busy gossiping…Baldev warns Gunjan to kep her mouth shut…Gunjan watches how sweetly RanVeera and compares Ranvi to her grumpy brother…Bansuri is adamant to making Baldev win and has brought a readymade kite from home in case baldev fails to make the kite…Nihal cheers Ranvi and Ratan notices his gesture…
Veera tells Ranvi to make his kite different from the rest…Ranvi runs out of ideas and then he looks at Nihal and an idea strikes him…He tells Veera that he has an iea and will make the best kite…Veera says she wants to do something as well and makes her own decoration…Gunjan is upset as Baldev doesnt let her help and says she can clap when he wins the competition…Ranvi borrows a black peice of paper from Dalbeer and starts workign on his kite …Baldev plans to spill glue on Ranvi’s kite so it becomes heavy doesnt fly…
