Varun Badola Opens Up About Financial Struggles: Candid Interview Reveals Lesser-Known Realities

While fans often perceive celebrities’ lives as glamorous, the truth behind the scenes can be far from it. Recently, versatile actor Varun Badola shed light on a challenging phase of his life, revealing his struggles with bankruptcy multiple times throughout his career.

In a candid conversation with Siddharth Kanan, television personality Varun Badola delved into the depths of his journey, sharing insights into his financial hardships. Badola disclosed that despite his fame, he often faced financial instability due to intermittent work opportunities. He reflected, “Many people ask me why I don’t work much. Frankly, not many actors work very much.”

Badola’s journey to landing the lead role in 2019’s Mere Dad Ki Dulhan was not without its trials, spanning 19 years since his appearance in Koshish – Ek Aashaa.

Addressing the financial aspect of his career, Badola confessed to moments of longing for material possessions beyond his reach. However, he emphasized the importance of longevity in the industry over material wealth, noting that surviving for 30 years held greater significance.

Detailing his struggles, Badola revealed a pattern of working for six months every two years, followed by extended periods of unemployment, leading to frequent brushes with bankruptcy. At one point, he found himself with less than Rs 2 lakh in his bank account, facing uncertainty about his future in the industry.

Reflecting on the volatile nature of showbiz, Badola admitted to moments of doubt and fear about his career prospects. However, he underscored the resilience required to navigate such challenges, acknowledging the need for adaptation in an ever-changing environment.
