Vandana Singh roped in to essay a pivotal role in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin

Vandana Singh, known for her roles in shows like Udann and Musakaan, has been cast as the sister of Shakti Arora’s character in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. Portraying a negative character, Vandana is excited about this new opportunity, although she has limited information about the storyline and her character’s trajectory. She reveals that the show has introduced a fresh set of actors to take the story forward, and she hopes to establish a connection with the audience by giving her best performance. Vandana believes that a show becomes a hit when there is a genuine connection between hearts. She expresses her desire for the audience to be immersed in the love she and her co-stars bring to the screen.

After a gap of three and a half years, Vandana returns to Hindi television following her stint in Musakaan. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she went back to Chandigarh and worked on a Punjabi show where she played the lead role. Additionally, she took on a negative character in a film, allowing her to explore a different side of acting. Vandana acknowledges the tendency for actors to get typecast on Hindi television, often receiving offers for similar characters after playing a certain role. She mentions that while a few casting directors approach her with different characters, most calls she receives are for the same type. Recognizing this pattern, Vandana decided that if she couldn’t portray other roles, at least she could earn money by continuing in the same vein.

However, Vandana understands that visibility is crucial in the industry. Prashant Joshi, the casting director of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, advised her to keep working and remain visible. He emphasized the importance of consistent work to maintain relevance. Vandana believes that luck plays a significant role in achieving one’s goals and hopes that fortune smiles upon her, providing her with the opportunity to portray a positive character, which she eagerly looks forward to.
