Uorfi Javed stopped from entering a restaurant over her outfit
Urfi Javed, who is known for her quirky and out-of-the-box fashion choices was reportedly stopped from entering a restaurant in Mumbai over her ‘clothing choices’. Urfi took to her Instagram account and slammed the restaurant for disrespecting her.
Urfi revealed in her post that she was denied entry at a restaurant because of her fashion choices and said that no one should be treated differently just because of what they choose to wear.
The post read, “WTF, is it really 21st century? I was denied to enter a restaurant in mumbai today. It’s okay if you don’t agree with my fashion choice but you can’t treat me differently. And if you are then admit it and don’t give lame excuses. Pissed off!”
Her post received a mixed reaction with some supporting Uorfi and others slamming her for her outfits. A user wrote “Well, you should dress appropriately first” and another user said, “The hotel customers will get uncomfortable because of you and that is the reason they didn’t let you in.”Another wrote, “She shouldn’t be judged on her clothing choices.. this is wrong”. One more user wrote, “this is what happens when you dress provocative in India.”
Earlier in an interview with ETimes TV, the actress opened up about her clothing choices, getting trolled, and more. She said, “Everyone likes to dress up, put on make-up and look their best. Whatever I do, I do for myself because all of us want to look and feel good. And if people get provoked by a dress, then there is a problem there… they need help!”
