Chapter 9

Hey guys ??? I’m back again!!! FINALLY!!! Exams are over!!! I know I said I’ll post on 22nd but sorry na! My hand was paining so much coz we had to answer the paper with a short time and I was writing high-speed!!! So now I’m giving you the next chapter. Have to give you a warning though ???. I know you won’t like the way the chappie goes but bear with me.

That’s the story till today. So let’s start today’s part.

Postponed wedding preparations started again. All thought the wedding will be cancelled but didnt happen. No one liked him marrying Riya. True all were afraid of Kabir, but they thought a kind and innocent girl would suit him more.

Today Sanchi met Riya in the corridor.

“Hey Riya, congratulations!!! I heard your wedding will be held soon ??? Sanchi said playfully.

To say Riya was astonished by Sanchi talking to her this much friendly, is an understatement. She came out of shock and said “thanks Sanchi”.

“Ok for now I have work to do, but if you want help with anything, just call me ok? I’ll always be there for you!!” Sanchi said happily.

When Riya said “Sure Sanchi, I will” Sanchi went back waving at her.

**Ajeeb hai!! Why did she suddenly become friendly and offered to help me? I thought she’d take Kabir away from me. But they don’t even talk these days so I don’t have to be scared. Never mind!! Don’t think too much Riya, if she’s gonna help me that’s good. That Madhu and Bala are so stupid anyway. They always mess up my work. If I take Sanchi’s help, my wedding will be perfect!!**

Unknown to them, some people were listening to their convo.

Actually 4 were listening to them.

Pragya and Isha, best friends of Sanchi.

“I don’t know why she decided to help her yaar” – Isha

“She’s torturing herself! How can she help her to get married to HIM??” – Pragya

Then there was Veer, who had came back from the camp hearing about Riya’s and Kabir’s wedding.

“Miss. Golgappa’s gonna help Riya for her wedding? But Riya’s getting married to Kabir sir, and what I saw that day…… what I saw that day can’t be a misunderstanding right? So what’s going on? I have to talk with Sanchi and clear everything!”

**Why are you doing this to me Sanchi? Why? Why?? WHY??? DAMN IT!!!** HE hits the wall hard. **I can’t do this anymore. I can’t loose you. I LOVE YOU!! But!! You shouldn’t be closer to me but what are you doing? You’re going to help that woman for my wedding?? Why????**

When Isha and Pragya got to know that Veer came back, they went to him. He asked them what’s going on and they explained to him how Sanchi love Kabir and all. He was so broken, but he had expected this that fateful day. He said he wanted to talk with Sanchi once.

So now they’re in a coffee shop near the hospital. Neither of them were talking. Finally Sanchi decided to break the ice.

“Veer……”

“Why Sanchi, why?”

She knew what he was asking. “I’m sorry Veer. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I never did! I didn’t know that you have feelings for me. I only thought of you as a friend!”

He laughed bitterly. “Yeah you lost your memory and you fell in love again. The difference is that’s not the same person. Yeah I get it”

“Please Veer don’t say like that!” Sanchi sounded helpless.

“Then what should I say? I love you like mad and then I got to know you don’t love me like that way you did before. You love someone else. But what’ll happen when you got your lost memories back? What would happen then? Would you still love him?” Asked Veer.

“Yeah I will!!!” She said determined.

“How would you know? Maybe you’d love him, maybe you’d get back your feelings for me” Veer said nonchalantly.

Sanchi placed her hand over his and gave a soft smile. “I’m sure of that coz I already got my memory”

Veer’s eyes widened at this. “So you mean-”

“Haa Veer. Everything came back a week ago. I remember all now. The feelings I had for you too. But it doesn’t change anything. I don’t feel like that way anymore” Sanchi explained.

“So that means I don’t have a chance at all!” He was sad. Very sad but hiding that he asked, “if you remember everything and still love Dr. Kabir, then why he’s marrying Riya?”

Sanchi looked sad at his question. Then it hit him. “Don’t tell me…… Sanchi? You didn’t tell him you got your memory? Why?”

“It’s for his own good. He thinks when I got my memory back, I’d leave him for you. So now if I tell him I got my memory back and still love him, he won’t believe me. He’ll think I’m doing that out of sympathy or something!! I can’t let him think like that. If he’d be happy with Riya then that’s all I wish for him. Riya loves him already so one day he’ll learn to love her too” she said smiling sadly.

Veer was sad too. Not only for her, but also for himself too. “Do you love him that much?” He asked.

“Khud se bhi zyada……….. (more than myself)” she whispered. A small tear escaped her eyes. She wiped it quickly and smiled at him.

“I’m not gonna tell you to forget everything and be friends with me. If I say something like that it’ll be very heartless. It’s not easy to forget the one you love. I know how painful it is coz I’m going through the same thing. I know you’d hate me, but Veer, one day…… one day I hope you’d forgive me, and we’d be best friends!” She gave him a one last smile and let go of his hand she was holding and went.

He waited there thinking. He hated everything. He hated destiny for playing such a game with him. He hated Gods for snatching Sanchi’s memories and love for him. More importantly, he hated Kabir, for getting Sanchi’s love even after her memories returned. Earlier, when he was talking with her, he looked in to her eyes. He could clearly see the immense love she had for Kabir. He knew just then, no matter what happened, even if Kabir got married 100 times, Sanchi’s love won’t change a bit. The love he thought would be only his, now belong to a another, forever!!

True to her words, Sanchi helped Riya with everything. Even though Pragya and Isha didn’t like this, they didn’t have a choice but to help her too because of Sanchi.

Riya started to see them in a different light. Specially Sanchi. She understood Sanchi’s god nature and started to like her genuinely.

Trio also got to know Riya better.

“Woh Gareebon ki supermodel itni bhi buri nahi hai asa hum pahele socha tha………. (that Gareebon ki supermodel isn’t that bad as we first thought)” Pragya said one day after a long trip in the mall.

Sanchi just laughed at her statement ???.

After the day she decided that she’d let Kabir go, she never cried in front of her friends. But every day she cry in the bathroom, under the shower, where no one would hear her cries. In front of everyone, she put up a fake smile even though she was broken in to pieces from inside. Pragya and Isha know this but they don’t talk about this with her coz it’ll be more painful for her.

Then came the day for haldi, mehendi and sangeet. They had decided to hold all three events same day coz The Hone Wale Dulhe Raja didn’t want to take many days off. He only took two days.

Riya wasn’t pleased with this. She was troubled how to get all the functions perfect at the same day. Sanchi made her agree.

“Relax Riya, you’re not alone. Me, Pragya, Isha, Gayatri aunty and Kusum aunty hai na. We’ll manage everything. We’ll make sure you and kabir sir have a blast!! ??? You just worry about what you’re gonna wear for the functions and that’s it!!” She told her strictly.

Kusum who heard this wiped a tear fell from her eyes. Kabir had told her about Sanchi, but unlike the last time, she didn’t say anything to him. She just let he do what he thinks right.

(Not gonna describe the ceremonies much. Just a little. ???)

So the day of the ceremonies came. Morning, haldi ceremony took place.

Colour theme – yellow and white
Place – Malhotra Mansion

Kabir and Riya was sitting facing each other. A big thin white curtain between them. Riya was wearing an yellow lehenga and Kabir was seeing plain white like he came to his own funeral ???.

Sanchi, along with Pragya and Isha got leave from Malhotra to attend the functions as Riya requested him. Veer is also there even if he never got along with his step sister, he is still a part of his family. He’s wearing a cream sherwani. Isha and Pragya were wearing similar yellow floral dresses. Sanchi was wearing a white anarkali with yellow dupatta.

First they were applying haldi on Kabir. After all the elders were done, Anand asked the trio to take part too. They were getting uncomfortable but what to do? They don’t have a choice.

So daring Pragya went first, Isha followed her lead. Lastly came Sanchi’s turn.

She took a bit of haldi and smeared it on the palms. She was nervous. She looked at everywhere but Kabir.

Ok that’s all for today. Don’t hate me for making Kabir’s and Riya’s wedding rituals. Throw anything another day coz I’m not gonna catch them today. Today is such a lovely day na! I’m gonna enjoy the day ???. And about the treat I was talking about will be posted later ???. So until then KEEP CALM ??? and wish me ???. You dont wanna wish me? ???
