??? MERRY CHRISTMAS ???
I know I’m late again aren’t I? But what to do? Got busy with Christmas!! Ok so I came back with a gift for all of you my dear friends ???.
Even though we’re still celebrating Christmas, today is an unforgettable day to my country. 13 years ago in 2004 a tsunami came on a day like today. I was so little but I still remember the damage it did and the lives it took away.
So saying that, I’m gonna start today’s part. Thank you Saya for coming forward and commenting ???.

“Don’t know…. I think my leg is sprained..!!” She said with a painful expression.
What Kabir did next made Maya’s eyes bulge out of sockets!!!
What did he do? Yep you got it right!! He instantly, lift her in his arms.
“Kabir!! I can manage!! Put me down!!” Sanchi said frantically.
“Chup!! How can you walk if your leg is sprained? Ab chup chaap mere saath aao!” He said sternly and lift her in to his arms more firmly, making Sanchi wrap her arms around his neck and hold tightly ???.
Just then two ward boys came with a stretcher for Maya.
“Take Dr. Maya to the ward!” Kabir instructed them and carried Sanchi down the stairs. As they were going, Sanchi looked back and winked at Maya, while she was taken away on a stretcher ???.
Maya was looking like a volcano ???. **THIS WAS HER ACTING!! HOW CAN DR. KABIR NOT SEE THAT?? SHE’S A LIRE!!! DAMN IT!!**
All the while Sanchi places her head on Kabir’s shoulder, making herself more comfortable. A wonderful smile made its way to his face when she did that ???.

……….a convo between few interns and nurses……….
“??? did you see them? What a matching couple na?” – nurse 1
“I fell in love with Dr. Kabir the first day I saw him, but I’m admitting too. She’s a perfect match for him ???” – nurse 2
“I remember the old days ??? when Dr. Sanchi was an intern” miss Fernandez joined the convo.
“Old days, sister?” Asked a curious Dr. Nakul.
“Yeah. We all thought those two would get married. But he got married to Dr. Riya and she went to America. I hope at least now they’ll be together ???” miss Fernandez said softly.
“Hmmm so this is what happening!” Said Dr. Nakul.
“What bhai?” Asked his friend.
“I always thought other doctors trying to play matchmaker with them. That’s what” Nakul replied.
“I feel sorry for you bhai! I knew you had a crush on Dr. Sanchi ???” his friend joked.
Nakul hit his head hard. “Abae chup kar! True I had crush on her but am I the only one? All interns does. (In a whispering tone) even the girls too ???. But she and Dr. Khadoos match well!! See it like this. Dr. Sanchi is a cardiologist, and Dr. Khadoos is a neurologist. Heart doctor + brain doctor. Means DIL + DIMAAG ??? perfect combination!!!”
“You said it right Dr. Nakul ???” others agreed with them.
Now let’s see what’s happening with our love birds ???.
Kabir carried Sanchi to her cabin and made her sit on the couch. He turned back to close the door. Then he said, “drop your act Sanchi, now tell me what’s wrong with you?”
Sanchi’s eyes widened like two saucers ??? but she didn’t show it to him. “What’re you talking about?” She asked innocently.
“I’m talking about your leg. I know you were just pretending to be hurt. So I’m just asking why?” Kabir asked while crossing his arms in front of him.
She tried to defend herself. “What? No!! My leg is really-”
“Oh please!! Don’t forget that I’m a doctor too ok!! I can say by looking, there’s nothing wrong with your leg ??? ok now say why were you acting?” – Kabir
Sanchi glared at him. He smirked ???.
“I think I know!!! ??? You were jealous because of Maya, wasn’t you?” He said with a light smile.
“Me and jealous? Of that Maya? Are you serious Kabir? Why would I be jealous of her?” She asked annoyed.
He stepped closer to her. His voice sounded like teasing her. “I don’t know….. (he placed his arm on the back of the couch she was sitting and leaned to her) May be you were jealous of her because she was getting closer to me ???? Do you honestly think I haven’t noticed the way you behaved passed few days? Today’s fall….. that day seatbelt incident…..”
She blushed hearing him say that he noticed her behaviour. “I don’t know wh-”
“Sshhh….. (he stopped her placing a finger over her lips) you know exactly what I’m talking about. So don’t lie….. I just want to know why you’re jealous. That’s all” he said witha smirk ???.
She moved his hand away and got up. “No! I’m not jealous!! I don’t have any reason to be! I think it’s YOU, who got jealous!! ???”
“Me? Why, what did I do?” He asked curiously ???.
“??? How innocent you are? You think I didn’t saw the smirk you had plastered to your face while passing Karan when you carried my here? ???” she asked smugly.
“You must be daydreaming!!” He protested.
She raised an eyebrow at that. “Yeah right. Then why do you always magically appear when I’m talking with Karan?”
“I don’t magically appear. I don’t know why I always find you two wherever I go!! And… hey!!! Since when did you two got so close that you call him just Karan?” He asked.
“You ask me that question and still saying you’re not jealous? ???”. – Sanchi
“I just asked a simple question. That doesn’t mean I’m jealous!! Besides, why would I be jealous?” – Kabir
“Oh really? So you aren’t jealous of him? ??? that’s great then!! Anyway, you wasted my time a lot. If you don’t mind, would you go to your cabin please?” Sanchi tried to hide her anger with him and told him to get out indirectly ???.
Kabir gave her a disbelieving look. “Even I don’t want to stay here with you!!” And he went through the adjacent door.
**How dare he accuse me to be jealous when he, himself was jealous!! ???** her thoughts.
**What does she think of herself!! She’s saying I’m jealous when she herself was jealous!! ???** His thoughts.
Few days later.
……….5th floor of SDCH……….
Kabir entered the elevator. Someone yelled to stop the elevator just as the door was closing. He stopped the door from closing.
The person who yelled was Maya! She entered quickly. “Thank you so much sir! ???” she said sweetly.
He just nodded his head and asked, “which floor?”
“Um um 3rd…” She replied uncertainly.
Kabir pressed buttons of 3rd floor and 1st floor.
**Oh shit!! Why did I said 3rd? He’s going to 1st floor!! If I go out on 3rd, how would I make my plan successful? Think Maya think!!!** She slowly took her phone out and texted someone.
‘Do it now!’ She typed. Elevator stopped on the 4th floor and she smiled ??? but the door opened. Sanchi entered and pressed the button for 2nd floor and greeted them with a smile. Kabir frowned at her.
**Oh shit shit shit!! Now what?** Maya thought worriedly.
Just then, they came to 3rd floor. Maya was lost in her thoughts.
“Dr. Maya! Your floor came. Would you get out quickly? You’re wasting time!!” Kabir said angrily.
She went out half heartedly and saw the elevator door close before her eyes. Just then the elevator stopped with a jolt.
……….flashback……….
Maya’s talking with some guy in the control room. “You understood what I told you?”
“But ma’am, I’ll lose my job!! Please ma’am!! Don’t make me do this!” – the guy
“If you don’t do as I say and make the elevator get stuck when I say, I’ll make sure you lose your job!!” She threatened him.
……….end of flashback……….
“Oh no no no no no!!! This cant be happening!! Why does god hate me? Kabir sir can’t get stuck with that woman!! I have to do something!!” She ran to the stairs.
……….Inside the elevator……….
The elevator stopped with a jolt. Sanchi opened her mouth to ask a question but Kabir replied her even before she ask. “Yes, we’re stuck in the elevator”
Sanchi called Veer. “Hello, Veer?…… Are you at the hospital…… no? …… yes but I got stuck in the elevator!! No yaar I can’t go now! Can you ask someone to fix this quickly? I just want to get out of here!! Tell Karan I’ll be there quickly! Ok bye!” She said in frustration.
……….Meanwhile somewhere else in SDCH……….
“Shukriya mere dosth!! You did my work splendidly ???” Veer said to the same guy who Maya talked earlier.
……….flashback……….
Veer was passing the control room when he heard Maya asking a guy to make the elevator get stuck.
“Achcha bachcha ???. This is your plan!! You are smart, but not as much as me ???” he said to himself.
As soon as Maya went, he came in and told that guy to do as he say.
“Sir I’ll lose my job if I don’t do as she says!!” – the guy
“Abae ooo!! Did you forgot who I am? Veer Malhotra hoon main!! Iss hospital ka owner ka beta!! Haan……!! I can give you a job as well as take it away from you!! So do as I say and I’ll take care of you ???” Veer threatened the poor guy sweetly.
……….end of flashback……….
“Hitler ka beta mahan Harishchandra aur duniya ki sabse badi jaansi ki raani stuck together. Ab aayega maza ???” Veer said while looking at them through cctv with others in the gang.
……….Back in the elevator……….
She kept her phone and turned to see Kabir glaring at her.
“What?” She asked.
“What what?” Kabir asked back.
“Why are you glaring at me?” – Sanchi
“My face, my wish! If I wanna glare I’m glaring!! You can’t stop that!” – Kabir
“Ok then, keep glaring! Waise bhi you look very old when you glare. But what to do? Your face, your wish!” She just shrugged. “My only problem is right now, that I promised Karan I’d go out with him for dinner. How would I go when I’m stuck here?” She said to herself.
……….back to the gang……….
“Yaar these two seem to be fighting!!” – Isha
“Yeh maharaani ka problem kya hai?? We’re trying our best get them closer but she’s just!!!” – Pragya
“We can’t only blame her. Don’t forget she’s with khadoos!! You know how he is ???” – Veer
“Let it be. I’m sure they’ll patch up by the time they got out” – Riya
Suddenly they heard the commanding voice of their boss, Anand Malhotra from behind ??? “What’re you guys doing here?”
“O Teri!!” – Riya
“Now what?” – Isha
“We’re done for!!” – Pragya
“Abae chup! Don’t panic. Act normal and don’t let dad see the screen!” Veer whispered to others.
All turned to face Dr. Malhotra and stood closer to each other not letting him see the screen.
Veer greeted him with a smile ???. “Dad, we’re just here to-”
“Rahne do Veer, just looking at your face, I can say you’re up to something. What’re you hiding behind? Let me see” Anand came closer and saw Sanchi & Kabir.
“Hmm so this is what you guys were doing! This is why the elevator isn’t fixed yet ☺☺☺” he gave them a look.
Just then Maya ran there. “Dr. Malhotra!! Dr. Malhotra!! The elevator!! It’s stuck!!”
Anand turned to her covering the screen. “Calm down Dr. Maya, I know that. Our technicians are working on it”
“But sir!! Dr. Kabir is there!!” – Maya
“Don’t worry Dr. Maya. Sanchi is also there with Kabir na? I’m sure he won’t be lonely ???” he added with a smirk.
Maya went out mumbling, “that’s exactly my problem!!”
After she went out, “I hope everything will be good. You guys! Turn off that camera and give them some privacy!! Get back to your work!!” Anand said laughing ???.
Others too laughed ??? at that and Riya turned off the camera.
……….back in the elevator……….
Kabir leaned on a wall, folding his arm in front of him, still glaring at her. He remembered what happened earlier today.
……….flashback………
Sanchi and Karan were talking in the corridor. Kabir came from the other side. He saw the two laughing ???.
“You’re funny, Karan ???” – Sanchi
“I know!! Ok leave it!! Do you have work tonight?” – Karan
“No, nothing special. Why?” – Sanchi
“Then would you like to have dinner with me?” He asked hopefully.
Hearing this made Kabir’s blood boil ???.
Sanchi felt uncomfortable with the question. She started to look around. Then her eyes fell on Kabir.
“Yeah sure!! Why not?” She agreed without second thought giving Karan a sweet smile

**She agreed to go on a date with him, right before my eyes!! How could she??** he thought while glaring at her.
She just ignored him and took her phone out again. “Oh no!! battery is dead!! Now how could I talk to him ???! (She eyed Kabir slowly) Kabir…… can I borrow your phone for a minute?” She asked carefully not making him angry again.
“No.” He said.
“Please? It won’t take much time, I promise!!” She requested him more kindly.
“No!” Was his reply.
“Please na, Kabir! Karan must be waiting for me na?” She pleaded him.
“I said NO!” He said more sternly.
“Lekin Kabir, Karan-” he cut her off by pushing her against the wall. He placed his left hand on the wall near her head and his right hand near her waist, caging her, not letting her go anywhere.
“Karan yeh, Karan woh! Everything you say is about Karan Karan Karan!!! Don’t you have anything else to say?” He asked angrily.
“Kabir what’re you saying?” Sanchi asked worriedly.
“And you want to call him from my phone!! You want to talk about your date from my phone!! Do you have any idea how much it hurts me when you talk about his as he’s your boyfriend, in front of me?” – Kabir
Sanchi got angry hearing this and pushed him. “Why would it hurt you? You’re planning your wedding with Maya!! So why would it hurt you even if I marry him??”
……….flashback……….
Two days ago.
Sanchi had to give some files to Kabir. So she just opened the adjacent door to his cabin, without knocking. What she heard made her stop dead.
“I’ll tell you directly, Dr. Kabir. My daughter Maya likes you and wish to marry you. What do you think?” Asked a man sitting in front of Kabir.
(I don’t know how parents talk about marriage, so don’t mind the blunt way I wrote it ???)
Files she had fell down making a loud noise. Kabir’s head snapped towards her.
He saw her eyes. They were helpless.
“Sanchi….” he called her softly. She snap out of it and went back to her cabin, picking up the file quickly.
He got up from his seat and went to the door but she had locked it. He tried the main door to her cabin but it was locked too.
The person aka Maya’s dad observed Kabir who hadn’t given him any answer.
“You love her don’t you? I mean the girl just came…” He asked Kabir, who’s still trying to get Sanchi’s door open.
Kabir looked at him for a sec. “Khud se bhi zyada…… (more than myself) ……….
The man smiled ???. “Then she’ll understand. Talk to her properly. I’ll talk to Maya ??? and tell her that there’s already someone else in your heart!”
Not knowing what’s happening, Sanchi was crying uncontrollably in her locked cabin. She ignored Kabir and start being friends with Karan, to make him jealous.
……….end of flashback……….
She walked away from him but he grabbed her hand and stopped her.
“You didn’t let me tell you what happened!!” – Kabir
“I don’t know Kabir, I don’t care. Just let me go!” She freed her hand, but he grabbed it and pulled her closer to him, looking in to her eyes.
“I let you go once, but I can’t let that same mistake repeat!!” – Kabir
“Then what was that? Her father came with a proposal!! And what’s the reason for you to reject it? She’s beautiful, rich, young-”
He stopped her blabbering by leaning closer and making his forehead touch with hers. He talked to her looking in to her eyes. “Really?? You think im that kind of person, who go after young, beautiful and rich girls?? (Pulls her more closer ???) I could never think about another woman except you!! How can you even think that I’ll be able to live without you? Tum meri jaan ho Sanchi!! You don’t know how I spent all those years without you!! Since the day I told you to go away from my life, I was lifeless!! It was like I’m just a body without a soul!! I thought when you get your memories back, you’d leave me. Kitni galath tha main? I couldn’t realise your love for me was pure! (He talks painfully) When I read that letter of yours, I realised I lost you because of my own foolishness!! And then you came back!! I thought I’d never get a chance to see you again but you came back ??? (He says with a gentle smile). Same as I remember. Same eyes, same smile…… But more beautiful and more mature…… You made me fall in love with you again and again each passing day!! (His eyes starts to shine with tears that haven’t fell yet) But now you’re talking about another man!! It feels like you’re stabbing my heart!!. Choking me by taking away my breath!! I can’t take anymore!! I love you, Sanchi! I love you!! I’ll die if I lose you again!! I love you so much!!!”
Her eyes are glistening. She broke their forehead contact. Slowly raised her hand and started to touch all over his face. His hair, his forehead, his eyes…… then finally, she rested her palm on his cheek, caressing it.
“How long I’ve been waiting to here those words from you? 10 years 6 months and 24 days. Each and every passing day, I wished you’d say you love me. But you never said it!! You’re complaining now I’m talking about a friend. I spent 10 years thinking that my love was happily married to another woman!! You think it was easy for me? I didn’t wanted to leave India. I didn’t wanted leave you!! But I only left because I can’t see you with another woman!! If I hadn’t left, I would’ve hate Riya, all my life!! But what did I got to know when I get back? That you’re still unable to move on with your life just as same as I? It’s not like that I haven’t met good people. There were many who tried to get my love. But how can I give something that already belongs to someone else since years ago? …… Kabir…… no one could ever take your place in my heart!! No one ever will!! I’m only yours…… I love you……!!”
Both looked at each other with uncontrollable love and leaned closer. Their eyes closed as their lips met. Through those closed eyelids of theirs, escaped the unshed tears, that they were holding for so long.
The love they tried to hide, let go and forget for 10 long years finally started to pore out. Kabir’s arms wrapped around Sanchi’s waist, pulling her closer, like he’d never let her go, even for a second. Sanchi didn’t have a problem with that. She too wrapped her arms around his neck possessively.
Both have lost in each other’s embrace. A loud sound of fireworks made them break their kiss.
The two laughed ???.
“It’s Christmas!! Kabir…. you confessed on Christmas!! ???” she said laughing.
“Yaar!! Never thought I’d be so cheesy!! And can you believe it? ??? We’re stuck in an elevator on 12.00 a.m on Christmas!!” He too said laughing.
“I bought you a gift but you have to wait till we get out of here” – Sanchi
“Hmmmm…. well.. I got you one too but I’ll give it to you later. ??? For now… you have something you could give me as a gift ???” he smirked.
Sanchi was puzzled. “Now? What’s that?”
“This.” He leaned and captured her lips with his again aaaand got lost in each other again.

I’m so sorry if you got bored with the language chapter ???. I think it’s the longest chapter I ever wrote ???. I wanted to write it in two parts but I have dragged this for so long, so I decided to post it like this. It’s your Christmas gift and when you’re giving a gift, you should give it as the way you like and the receiving people shoul accept it without complaining ???.
