An Unsung Heroine- Urmila (Part 19)

Ram was left shocked. Tears rolled down from his eyes. Sita was also crying.

Urmila: Swaaaaaaaaaaaaami!!

Urmila get up from sleep and was sweating. Laxman listens her scream and also get up.

Laxman: what happen Urmila? Are you alright?

Urmila was shocked. She first sees Laxman and then gets up from her bed and ran outside their room.

Laxman: Urmila, Urmila wait. Where are you going?

Laxman followed her. Urmila ran towards Ram and Sita‘s room and start beating the door.

Urmila: Sita didi, Sita didi!

Inside the room sita and ram get up.

Ram: (to Sita) wait I will look.

Ram opens the door and saw Urmila standing nervous and feared. Before ram could ask any question Urmila runs to Sita and hugs her and start crying. Sita consoles her but she didn’t stop. Laxman come there.

Ram: (to Laxman) what happen laxman? Did you again fight with Urmila?

Laxman: no bhaiya. We were sleeping and she gets up with a scream and then run toward your room.

Sita: Urmila why are you crying? Tell me what happen?

Urmila: didi you are alright na?

Sita: yes Urmila. Tell me why you are so scared and look how much you are sweating.

She takes Urmila to her bed and asks ram and Laxman to wait. Ram takes Laxman with him.

Urmila: I saw my worst dream tonight.

Sita: what was the dream?

Urmila narrates the whole dream to her.

Sita: Urmila you get afraid of this dream. How this can will be possible? Can anything happen to Laxman until his brother is with him?

Urmila: I know di. But this dream scared me so much. The eagle was so large that he take you….(she starts crying) and you all were in vanvasi clothes didi. It means you were away from the palace in a forest.

Sita: so do you think I am afraid of an eagle and a vanvaas?

Urmila: no didi. But I was not there. (She said innocently) you always said that when we are together we can make any place our home. I am not at all worried that you all were in forest but I am worried that I was not there to help you.

Sita: (tries to make her normal) you shall be doing some other work like cooking.

Urmila: maybe but didi…..

Sita: no buts more. You know how much Laxman is tensed for you. And Urmila you always say that to never think or get tensed by future so why are you now thinking of future. “Who knows what will happen in future we should never destroy our present on that” whose words are these?

Urmila: OKK I am sorry didi I disturb you at this time of night.

Sita: urmiiiii!!

Ram and laxman came. Laxman relaxed seeing Urmila smiling. Urmila come to ram.

Urmila: I am sorry jijasri. I spoil your sleep. I should not disturb you.

Ram: you are my younger sister Urmila. And my sister has right to disturb me anytime. Now go and sleep. Laxman!

Laxman: yes bhaiya!

Laxman and Urmila go back to their room. Urmila was still thinking. Laxman sits beside her.

Laxman: the dream was related to me?

Urmila: yes a bit. You know my all dreams came true till date. (She was lost in her thoughts that this dream can also come true)

Laxman: (changing the topic) why you have so much moh for me?

Urmila: moh! Who said that? Where love remains there is no space for moh. Love arises from karuna and moh from ahankar. Understand.

Laxman: I understand everything. Love!! But you hate me right?

Urmila: don’t disturb me. Otherwise I will not let you sleep for next fourteen days.(lay down on bed)

Laxman: fourteen days! Why not fourteen months or better is fourteen years.(also lay down next to her)

Urmila: (wrapping her hand around laxman’s chest) I know if you didn’t get sleep for just fourteen minutes how much you will complain. Now please sleep.

Laxman smiles and close his eyes.
