Chapter 4

“Sing for me,” I told him.

We were inside his bedroom (of course at his house), and he’s teaching me how to do crazy stuffs.

“What song do you want me to sing?” he asked.

“Uhm, your favorite,” I replied.

He flashed a smile, grabbed his guitar, and started.

“Gulabi aankhen jo teri dekhi
Sharabi ye dil ho gaya
Sambhalo mujhko o mere yaaron
Sambhalna mushqil ho gaya.”

I stared at him as he sang. His voice takes me somewhere… somewhere where only the two of us are in.

“Dil mein mere khwaab tere
Tasveer jaise ho deewar pe
Tujhpe fidaa main kyun hua
Aata hai gussa mujhe pyar pe.”

I was just feeling the song. His eyes were on me as he sings. And he never takes off that smile.

“Main lut gaya
Maan ke dil ka kaha
Main kahin ka na raha
Kya kahu main dilruba.”

“Bura ye jaadu
Teri aankhon ka
Ye mera qaatil ho gaya
Gulabi aankhen jo teri dekhi
Sharabi ye dil ho gaya.”

He strummed his guitar one last time, put it down, and turned back to me.

“You liked it?” he asked.

“Of course. Who wouldn’t? I mean, like you’re one of the hottest popstars
in the world, and you’re thinking I wouldn’t like it?!” I said in a bit exaggerating voice.

He chuckled, “Yeah, yeah. That’s why I love you.”

My eyes widened at his response. Until I realized what he really meant in that.

“Yeah, I love you, too. You’re my best buddy, right?” I replied. He stood up, and sat next to me.

“Now, you sing for me,” he said.

I turned to him with all the question marks on my face.

“What?!” I asked in disbelief.

“Sing for me,” he replied in a bored tone.

“You don’t want a storm, do you?” I told him.

“You know you have an incredible voice,” he teased.

“And you clearly know I hate singing!” I said.

“Please? Pretty please,” he said, doing puppy eyes and pouting.

“You look like a retard,” I teased, rolling my eyes at him.

“Well, you love me. And you will sing for me,” he replied.

“No.”

“Bu–”

“No but’s, Mr. Oberoi. I am not singing,” I answered in an irritated tone.

“Please do this for me. Please. I would be leaving soon, and this is the only
favor I have asked from you. Please, Annika,” he pleaded. His eyes seems
so sad.

“Fine,” I said. His face then lighted up, “but not now. I’ll do it before you leave.”

“But can’t you do it now?” he asked.

“Take it or leave it,” I challenged.

“Okay. You win. You always do. I hate myself for always letting you win!” he
complained, like a child who’s not given a lollipop.

“I need to go now, I’m preparing dinner,” I said, noticing that it was already 5 in the afternoon.

“Okaaaay,” he sang, “I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Yeah. Love ya!” I said as I went out of his room. I heard him shout a ‘love you too’ from the doorstep.

I waved his mom goodbye and headed home.

“Gauri! I’m home,” I shouted as I step inside.

I went straight to our kitchen, and started preparing dinner. Once I was
finished, I called my sister. We were eating when she brought up a
really awkward topic.

“So did he ask you out already?” she told me.

“Huh?! Why would he do that?” I asked her in confusion.

She just gave me a look.

“Okay. Nevermind,” she then said, “What did you do?”

“Well…” I started, “He sang.”

She started acting crazy.

“What did he sing?!” she asked.

“Calmdown, will you?!” I reprimanded, “He sang because I asked him to, he
sang ‘Gulabi aankhen’, I said, stopping her from squealing and
everything, but she seemed more pleased and started screaming like an
idiot.

“OMG. I don’t know that song, but can you recite to me a part of it? The chorus maybe?” She asked me to.

Why the hell does she need to know a part of that song?! Really, after
spending time with Shivaay a while ago, she became like this, she became crazier!

“Pleaseeeeeee. Tell me a part of ittttt!” she demanded.

“Okay. The lyrics says, Gulabi aankhen jo teri dekhi
Sharabi ye dil ho gaya, happy?” I told her in an annoyed tone.

“Gosh, Annikaaaaaaaaaa!” she screamed, making me deaf.

“Shut up. You’re so loud!” I said, and she calmed down a bit.

Sometimes, I think my sister’s mental. She talks to herself, and right now she’s giggling for no reason at all.

“Gauri, tell me, are you hiding something to your beloved sister?” I asked her.

She bit her bottom lip, and shook her head unassuredly.

“You’re not that good in lying, dear,” I told her.

“But I told him I won’t tell,” she said, then kind of took it back.

“Him? Who? What?” I asked. “Tell me.”

“Shivaay…” she said in a low tone.

“And?”

“He likes you.”

Heeya people! Yeah I’m starting to get addicted to Saman Puri. Just finished downloading his songs He’s so greaaaaaat! HANDSOME HAAYE!
Anyways, here you go with Chapter 4.
Sorry if it’s a bit late and for not replying to ya’all.I got busy with my nieces, sorry again.It’s 6 in the morning and I’m updating this chapter, right now I’m sleepy as hell!
