Yuvani approached Krishna that evening, a well-formulated plan in her head, after seeing everything that had happened that morning between Krishna and her brother. She knocked on the door, peering in, to see that Krishna was folding some clothes.

“Krishna, can I come in?” Yuvani smiled warmly.

“Of course!” Krishna said excitedly. She kept the folded pile of laundry in the cupboard before turning to face Yuvani, who pulled her to the edge of the bed and sat her down. Krishna looked tired, and her cheeks were flushed.

“Krishna, why do you do so much work?” Yuvani tilted her head.

“It was just folding clothes Yuvani, nothing tough” Krishna sighed, looking around the room.

“Krishna…are you okay?” Yuvani asked tentatively, no longer talking about doing the laundry.

“Yeah, I’m just a little tired, why?” Krishna answered innocently.

“No, I mean…I saw what happened today morning…with Yuvaan,” Yuvani said awkwardly, watching as Krishna’s eyes widened in realization, “you said that you were happy with Sayyam and that you thought he was…”

“-hot?” Krishna completed for Yuvani, biting her lip nervously, while Yuvani nodded vigorously. The two girls paused their conversation for a moment, trying to ignore the awkward situation. Finally, Yuvani broke the silence.

“Krish, what you’re doing right now is called rebounding…you saw that Yuvaan has moved on, so you’re trying to prove that you’ve moved on too- you are trying to show him that you’re happy…am I right?”

“No Yuvani, it’s not like that…” Krishna started to fidget.

“Oh yeah? Shall I call Sayyam? I’m sure he would like to hear that you genuinely think he’s hot,” Yuvani raised her eyebrows.

“Yuvani! Don’t speak so loudly!” Krishna covered her face with her palms, peeking out through her fingers in embarrassment. She then sighed, looking to Yuvaani silently for help.

Yuvani smiled sympathetically, “Krish, I have an idea. Why don’t you join me today night…I have the perfect temporary solution to your dilemma.”

“Where will we go?” Krishna pursed her lips.

“It’s a surprise.”

“But Yuvani…” Krishna started to object.

“No excuses Krishna! Be ready by eight, okay? And wear something fancy!” Yuvani said in a rush, as she winked, dashing out of the room, while Krishna was left wondering what mess she’d gotten herself into this time.

Sayyam strode into the bedroom, glancing at the clock; it was nine o’clock. He sighed, looking towards the sofa.

Krishna wasn’t there.

He knocked on the door to the washroom, opening it just to be sure, and Krishna was not there either. She was already upset with everything that had been happening to her lately; what if she had done something stupid? Strange thought started rushing into Sayyam’s head, and he couldn’t help but concerned. He rushed to the kitchen, and when he didn’t find her there either, he began to turn the whole house upside down, calling her name like a crazed animal and searching for her in each and every room. When he was going through the living room for the third time, he bumped into Yuvraaj.

“Sayyam? What happened?” Yuvraaj frowned in concern.

“Krishna,” Sayyam whispered, out of breath, “Where is she?”

“Oh, Krishna? She went out with out with Yuvani somewhere. They’ll be back soon I guess, it’s getting late.”

“Oh,” Sayyam sighed in relief, thanking Yuvraaj. He returned to the room, feeling a bit frustrated. Why hadn’t Krishna told him she was going somewhere? Of course, she didn’t have to; but at least he wouldn’t have run around the house like a madman, searching for her.

On second thought, why was he running around the house searching for Krishna like a madman?

“Stupid girl,” he pouted, irritated with all the questions he’d been having lately regarding her. Why did she matter so much? He picked up his phone to call her, then groaned. What was he doing? Why was he letting his feelings get involved?

He reached for the phone two more times, deciding against it both times, before finally throwing his hands up, deciding that ‘he wouldn’t give a damn’. He switched the phone on to call Krishna and froze, staring at the date on the screen. It was Friday. Today was Friday. Yuvani always went to the bar on Fridays…Sayyam swore, dropping the phone on the bed, and rushed out, determined to give his sister and wife a piece of his mind after he found them.

*One hour ago*

Krishna pulled at the hem of her dress, staring at herself in a mirror. She’d undergone a virtual transformation- her eyeliner was winged, her golden brown hair was poker straight, and she was wearing a dress that only went down to her knees. At first, she’d tried to convince Yuvani that the dress was too tight and too short, but Yuvani had paid no heed; and now here she was, hiding in the washroom of a bar, wearing a pencil dress.

If she had known Yuvani would take her to a bar, she would never have agreed for this, but now there was no turning back. She glanced at herself in the mirror again, swallowing down all her nausea, and feeling bolder than before. She couldn’t keep Yuvani waiting forever, could she? Steeling her nerves, she took a deep breath and opened the door, walking back into the dim-lit atmosphere of the bar.

She almost immediately spotted Yuvani, who was blatantly flirting with a cute guy she’d obviously just met.

“Yuvani…” Krishna whispered, feeling out of place.

“Krish, order some drinks for us, I’ll be there in a while,” Yuvani said, tearing her gaze away from the guy to glance at Krishna.

“Yeah, okay” Krishna murmured, slowly walking up to the bar stand. She realized that she hardly knew any of the different types of alcoholic drinks. Panicking, she turned back to Yuvani, but then realized that she’d once seen Sayyam drink something called whiskey. Gathering up her courage, she turned to the bartender, saying the three words she never expected to hear herself say:

“One whiskey please.”

Alright guys! I knew I was a bit unpredictable, but I didn’t know that my plot twists were that random. so, it was Yuvani who saw Yuvaan and Krishna. 😉 Also, I haven’t forgotten about Anjali, and according to the story timeline, it’s only been three days since Sayyam has met Anjali, so she’ll be back soon. And yes, I know I’m revealing this a bit late, but I will be typing out a drunk Kriyam scene, just for you guys. I’m gonna be really busy for the next three days, so I might post next on Sunday or Monday. Because of that, I’ll leave you guys a short precap 😉

“Oh yeah! Suhani aunty…” Krishna mumbled incoherently. “Okay, I’ll come…”

Sayyam sighed in relief.

“…but on one condition,” she sat at the side of the road stubbornly.

Sayyam moaned, he felt like banging his head against a pole, “What is it now?”

See ya guys soon, love you all!
