Twinj: When I fell for you: Season 2: Episode 1

“Twinkle!!! Twinkle!!! Listen na… Twinkle!!!”
“Simmi… Simmi!! Simmi!!!” Yuvi’s efforts to wake up both mother and daughter went in vain, and he sat down on the nearby couch, cringing. “Don’t know how Kunj manages to wake these two up everyday!” He muttered, but soon, his frown turned into a smile, as he decided that Simmi had turned out to be exactly like her mother, even in her mania for sleep.

“Papa!! Should I wake them up?” Pari asked, entering the room, while Yuvi gave her a thumbs up, although he already knew what was coming up next. Pari tried to wake them up for a few minutes, but then, she herself cuddled up with Twinkle on the opposite side of Simmi, and fell asleep.
Yuvi smacked his head, and uttered a ‘you guys will never change’ before he took a deep breath and walked out of the room.

No sooner had Yuvi walked out, than all the three sat up in bed, giggling. They were habituated to irritating Yuvi this way now, and they knew exactly what was coming up. “Papa will now go straight away to Mumma, and complain to her” Pari spoke dramatically, while Simmi added, “Mami will try to convince Mamu saying, it’s their holiday after all Yuvraj, and besides, how often do Twinkle and Simmi come to stay here?” She enacted Amaya’s dialogue, while Pari laughed. “But Bhaiyu, being Bhaiyu, will manage to get Bhabhi here to wake us up, and then, as usual, he’ll become the laughing stock” Twinkle completed, while the two little girls high-fived each other.

As they waited for Amaya and Yuvi to come, they heard some noise at the balcony. Twinkle walked over, and opened the door, “Kunj!!” She screamed excitedly, pulling him in, and hugging him tight. He had been away for a week, and wasn’t expected for three more days. His surprise brought a bright smile even on the little princess’ face, who went running to him. “Papa!!! Mumma, would you please move a little? He’s my Papa after all!” She spoke, pushing Twinkle away, and jumping into his arms herself, earning a glare from Twinkle, while Pari came running to Twinkle and hugged her, whispering, “Don’t worry Bua… I’m there for you na…”

“Look Yuvraj!! I told you they were up to their regular prank again…” Amaya spoke entering the room, but her words trailed off as she saw Kunj there.
“Kunj came here and woke them up… Dude! You are a magician!!” Yuvi spoke, giving him a side hug, while he winked at Yuvi. “Yuvraj!! It was just their prank…” Amaya said, and all the three girls nodded in a yes, only to earn an angry look from Yuvi.

“Di… You’ve put on more weight!! You look like a pumpkin now!” Kunj told Amaya giggling, but before anyone else could react, Pari went over to her mother, and hugged her. “Mamu! Don’t say that to Mumma… My little baby sibling is in her tummy, get it?” Pari more of warned Kunj, while the rest of them burst out laughing. “Once that baby is born, Mumma will be pretty again… Hmph! Bad baby!” Pari continued muttering, while the laughter intensified in the room.

Twinj and Simmi later returned back to the Sarna mansion, after it had been decided that Amaya would go there in another week or so.
As soon as they had got home, Simmi got to work, running all around the house, telling everyone what she had done for a week at her Naani’s house, and began her usual drama of, “Dadi!! What is all this? My goodness, you all can’t even get one thing right if I’m not around… Huh!! When will you all improve?” Manohar picked her off the table on which she had been standing, and said, “Sorry Simmi ji!! We’ll definitely not repeat these mistakes” before he started tickling her, and her laughter filled the house. Manohar and Usha took Simmi along, and asked Kunj to take some rest.

Twinj walked to their room, and then Kunj closed the door after them. Twinkle sat on the bed with a thud, and went on and on about how Simmi wouldn’t listen to her at all. She suddenly went all quiet when Kunj sat down beside her, and rested his head on her shoulder.
“Missed me?” Kunj asked, as he played with her fingers. “Nahh…” Twinkle said casually, causing Kunj to look up at her suddenly. “Of course I missed you Kunj… Is that even a question?” Twinkle asked, while Kunj put his head on her lap and lay down, making himself comfortable.

They just stayed like that, in perfect silence, for some time, while Twinkle had been slowly caressing his head. “Kunj… Your daughter is extremely jealous of me by the way…” Twinkle spoke breaking the silence, making Kunj chuckle. “Really! That’s sad…” He spoke, while Twinkle smacked him.
Kunj sat up slowly, pulling her into his embrace, and spoke, “But why is my little princess jealous of her highness, Siyappa Queen?” But before Twinkle could speak, Kunj already realised what she had been hinting at. “Don’t tell me you are saying all this because of this morning’s incident!” He said, as he burst out laughing.

Twinkle too joined his laughter, as they recalled the look Simmi had on her face when she pushed Twinkle away and hugged Kunj herself. He pulled her closer to himself, as he spoke, “I missed you so much!!” She turned around, intending to peck him on his cheek, but he turned at the right moment, and they ended sharing a passionate kiss instead.
“My goodness Twinkle!! You still blush like a newlywed!” He whispered, while Twinkle blushed.

“Uffo!! Mumma… Papa… Open the door na!! What are you both doing?” Simmi’s voice destroyed their moment. “You are right about her being jealous though” Kunj muttered, as he got off the bed, and walked over to open the door, causing Twinkle to burst out laughing.

“Papa… Guess what Mumma made for me yesterday?” Simmi spoke jumping into Kunj’s arms, and he brought her in. “I don’t know…” Kunj spoke, putting her down on the bed next to Twinkle. “Arrey Papa!! You don’t even know so much! Mumma made your favourite Gajar ka Halwa” Simmi said, and went on to describe how tasty it was.
“Really Mumma?” Kunj asked Twinkle, leaning towards her. “Didn’t you leave any for me, princess?” Kunj asked Simmi as he made her sit on his lap, after he had seated himself next to Twinkle.
“No Papa… It was so yum yum… We finished all of it” Simmi said, while Twinkle was still wondering when she had made Halwa.

“Should I gobble you up, Twinkle, now that you haven’t kept any Halwa for me?” Kunj asked, nibbling her ear, while Simmi giggled, and spoke, “Papa… Mumma didn’t make any at all… I was just fooling you…” Kunj and Simmi winked at each other as they spoke together, “After all, Mumma doesn’t know how to cook!” Twinkle glared at them, and then followed a chase game, with Twinkle chasing the father-daughter duo all around the house.
