“How did the wedding go Twinkle?” Leela asked Twinkle, who had directly gone to the Taneja mansion, after the ‘so-called wedding’.
Twinkle looked up, wondering what she should say, and caught Yuvi and Amaya trying to suppress a laugh hiding behind a pillar.
“All good ma…” She said, trying to sound as genuine as possible. “Ma… You told me that you wished to discuss something, didn’t you?” She asked quickly, avoiding any further discussion on the trip.
“Twinkle…, It’s just that…. After whatever happened, I really don’t know how to tell you all this… Twinkle…” She stammered on her words, while Twinkle held her hand assuringly, and smiled at her, encouraging her to speak. “Twinkle…. I think you should… Forget whatever happened so far and make a new beginning with Kunj…. He wasn’t a part of the kidnapping, right? He told me that he just found out on the day of the wedding… He was as helpless as anyone else would have been…. I think you should definitely give him another chance…” Leela said, surprising Twinkle who picked up the cup of tea in front of her to get some time to think of answer to her.
“Why not aunty? All’s well between Twinkle and Kunj now, is it not Twinkle? Raj told me he saw the two of you together this afternoon at a hotel…” Alisha said, as she walked into the house accompanied by Raj. Raj gave Twinkle a sly smile as he watched RT come there too. All eyes turned from Raj to Twinkle now. Yuvi rushed forth to defend her, but RT indicated him to stop right there.
“Twinkle… Had you not gone there for a wedding?” RT asked, wondering if she had been hiding something from them.
“Yes dad… I had been there for a wedding, and met Kunj unexpectedly at the hotel I was staying in… He accompanied me for lunch because I was sitting alone…” She said, after she had recalled seeing Raj that afternoon.
Leela gave RT an understanding look, and he obliged. Twinkle excused herself under the pretext that Usha would be waiting for her to have dinner. Yuvi and Amaya walked her to the car.
“Twinkle! Mom asked you to forget everything that has happened so far… Even last night…” Amaya told her, nudging her slightly.
“You didn’t tell us how it went though, did you?” Rahul asked, coming home right then, and answered his own question, “You don’t have to tell us though… Your blush has already conveyed everything…” He pulled her cheek, while she hugged her bhaiyu and hid her face to prevent further teasing.
After they had their share of fun, Twinkle sat in the car, while Rahul told her, “Give our love to Kunj too… If you have time after you are done with yours, that is…” Yuvi and Amaya chuckled, while Twinkle looked away, her face turning crimson, and left after waving them good bye.
When she reached the Sarna mansion, Usha asked her to freshen up quickly so that they could have dinner and take rest. Twinkle entered her room, and smiled when she saw Kunj, who had dozed off on the couch, probably bored of waiting for her. She closed the door as quietly as possible, but the little noise too was sufficient to wake Kunj up, and when she turned back, he was standing right in front of her with a welcoming smile.
Kunj put his hands around her waist, and pulled her closer to himself. “So wifey, where have you been all day?” He asked, in an authoritative voice. “I was spending some time with my boyfriend hubby dear…” She said, winking at him. “Oh really? Now you and your boyfriend will be punished.. Just wait and watch!” He said, pecking her nose. “Please forgive me… My boyfriend is a really wonderful person… Don’t punish him!” She said playing along, as her hands wandered to his hair. “Fine then, let me punish you!!” He said, and picked her up in a go, while her eyes widened. “Kunj! Put me down!” She protested, smacking his chest. “Will you ever go out with your boyfriend again?” He asked, trying to sound threatening. “Yes I will” she replied, putting her hands around his neck, and pulling him closer. “Fine then, I’ll be waiting to take you out again!” He said, gently seating her down on the bed, while they both laughed heartily.
Kunj sat down close to her, and cupped her face, leaning closer to her, when Twinkle stopped him. “Kunj!! Raj did see us yesterday..” She said, narrating whatever had just happened at the Taneja mansion, while Kunj listened with rapt attention. “I can’t believe that Raj could do such a thing! He’s been against Alisha since our college days, and now? Looks like Alisha has trapped him too in her plan like she had trapped me…” Kunj said slowly, confident that Raj could never take Alisha’s side. He was confident that something was definitely wrong.
“Like she trapped you?” Twinkle asked, surprised. Kunj looked back at her, even more surprised. Only when Twinkle told him that she had no idea what he was speaking about, did he realise that she didn’t have the slightest clue about Alisha’s previous attempts to murder her. He held her close to himself and narrated Alisha’s evil doings and how he had no other go than to play along with her drama.
Twinkle had tears in her eyes now. She always knew that Kunj loved her a lot, but so much that he could go to the extent of doing anything to save her life, she had no idea about that. Kunj wiped away her tears. He assured her that he never regretted whatever he did for her, even when they both were separated for such a long time. She just looked at him, unaware of how she should react. He leaned closer to her, and gently kissed her forehead, followed by her eyes, cheeks and lips.
At that moment, Usha walked in on them. They separated immediately, while Usha looked away, apologising that she should have knocked before coming in. Twinj defended themselves, saying that they were just talking, but the expression on Usha’s face made it evident that she was happy to see them together. She thanked Leela, assuming that they were growing closer due to the effect of the discussion that Leela had promised she would have with Twinkle.
Twinj felt awkward though, and all through dinner, they stole glances of each other, while Usha and Manohar laughed quietly, thinking that the two were falling for each other.
Back in their room after dinner, Kunj pinned Twinkle to the wall, as soon as he had closed the door and made sure that he had bolted it this time around. “So, where were we?” He asked, running his finger on her face, while she closed her eyes, thinking of am answer. “Kunj, your phone is ringing…” She said, while Kunj chuckled. “Too old a reason to be believed, Twinkle!!” He whispered, bending over to her.
Twinkle found herself trapped now. She was breathing heavily just at the thought of their proximity. Kunj pushed all her hair to one side, slid her dress off her shoulder and began kissing her there. Twinkle’s eyes were closed, she was leaning against the wall, her hands had clutched his shirt tight. Kunj had his hands around her waist, and was pleased with the effect he was having on her.
Before Twinkle knew it, he had carried her to the bed in his arms, put her down slowly, and positioned himself next to her. She pulled him closer and soon their lips met, pouring out all the love they had for each other. When they withdrew, Kunj turned Twinkle around, pulled her closer, and back hugged her.
“I know you are tired, love… Sweet dreams…” He said, pecking her ear. She smiled, and soon fell asleep, making herself comfortable in his arms.
