Hello everyone! Ananya here. Thank you so much for the love and affection that you’ve been showering on my stories, although I must admit I’m disappointed by the poor response my previous post recieved. Anyways, happy reading!

Twinj: It’s Always Been You: Episode 15

A quick recap: Aparna informs Twinkle and Kunj that Manohar had been hospitalized. Twinkle reveals to Kunj that she had actually not been seeing someone else. Despite no plans being made, Twinkle receives flowers that are revealed to be sent by Kunj, who receives anonymous threats while Twinkle receives anonymous love messages. It is later unveiled that all of that had been planned by Yuvi.

Twinkle had got to work early to make up for all the time that had been whiled away the previous day. She had seen Kunj come in at his regular time, but didn’t acknowledge his presence and pretended to be oblivious. When she looked at his table a few minutes later though, there was no sign of him. “Looking for me?” She heard him whisper from right beside her and cringed at the idea of being caught. “No!” She responded while he giggled, returning to his seat. They had just got back to work when a package was delivered to Twinkle. Her involuntary response was to throw a questioning glance at Kunj, but he seemed more confused than her. She opened the box to find a teddy bear and a scroll with yet another poem. Twinkle looked at it amused, annoying Kunj further. Instead of throwing it away like she had the previous time when Kunj had sent her flowers, she put the package in her drawer, picked up her phone and began to type something. “Are you seriously impressed by this guy?” Kunj asked, walking over to her desk, feeling a tinge of jealousy. “He writes poetry!” Twinkle said innocently and laughed. “Will you take a chill pill? I’m asking Aparna if she did something about this nuisance yet.” Twinkle said, walking out with her phone, trying her best to avoid all the hushed gossip about her and the anonymous lover.

The trouble didn’t seem to end no matter how much Aparna had tried, for the gifts that Twinkle received only seemed to increase if anything. By the end of the week Kunj was so frustrated by it all that he strictly ordered all the staff that they could no longer receive any personal stuff at office. What had been boiling his blood though, was the fact that whatever he planned to present Twinkle, the next day it would already have been sent to her. “You actually thought you would win this, didn’t you?” Aparna had taunted him, thereby leading to his first doubt at them. He found it a little hard to believe that they would try the same old tricks again, but he only needed to follow Aparna for one evening to be able to have their plan spread open in front of him like it was his own. He smirked to himself as he thought of a counter plan, his victory was assured now. He knew exactly what they would do and when, all he needed to do was react opposite to their expectation to everything. He had seen Twinkle be extremely troubled by the recent developments and made up his mind to teach them a lesson for it.

Aparna and Yuvi rushed to a seemingly abandoned building on receiving some messages on their phones. “How did Twinkle find out?” They asked in chorus as soon as they spotted each other. “You should be telling me!” Aparna ridiculed, surprising Yuvi, who replied, “But you sent me a message saying she found out everything!” It was Aparna’s turn to be astonished. “No, you did!” She hit back and an argument ensued, while unaware to them Chinki and Kunj stood nearby and enjoyed the show. “Well done, people!” Chinki exclaimed, clapping as she walked towards Aparna and smiled sweetly at her. “Aparna, I can’t believe you fell into our trap! Such an amateur player!” She added as she burst out laughing. “I told you it was war, and Kunj Sarna never loses even a small challenge, let alone a war!” Kunj said as he walked towards them. “Kunj, we were only trying to get you to confess your feelings to Twinkle!” Aparna said while Kunj chuckled. “Don’t you think you’ve had enough of keeping away from each other now? We agree that you deserve another chance, if not for your sake for Twinkle, because she can’t live like this any longer!” Yuvi said and the girls nodded. “Don’t you think you’ve troubled her enough with your anonymous lover prank already?” Kunj asked, and they bowed their heads in repentance. “Does this guy even know that you’re using his name like this? Or worse, does he even exist?” He asked curiously, and Aparna confided that Yuvi had convinced her friend to help them out in their plan, but everything else was true. “You guys deserve to be punished though.” Kunj said and smiled at them, giving them instructions that they would have to follow if they didn’t want Twinkle to find out Kunj’s version of their doings, which would make them appear like villains.

Twinkle was helping Leela in the kitchen, her mind constantly going back to the weird things that had been happening for a week now. She had just wanted things to get normal between her and Kunj, but with all that, they didn’t even find time to speak to each other. She completely missed whatever Leela had been saying, only to be jerked out of her thoughts when she heard Leela say, “You would know if you had a child of your own!” Twinkle dropped the ladle in her hand at that, her eyes welling up as she thought of her baby, who she didn’t have a chance to hold in her arms even once. Leela made her sit down on a nearby chair and sat down beside her, holding her close when Twinkle began to sob. Despite a lot of persuasion, Twinkle wouldn’t say a single word. “You need to speak to Kunj and sort things out, Twinkle! It’s one way or the other, there is no point in leaving it hanging in between like this.” Leela said finally, realising that there was no other way left. Leela wasn’t unaware of Usha’s fondness for Twinkle either, and knew that Usha must have been doing her best to convince Kunj too, and she was right. Usha had made it a routine to nudge Kunj on the issue, but he would always dodge it assuring her that he knew what he was doing, and he was sure that his way, things would be set right real soon.

“Do you not understand that I’m in no mood for any fun?” Twinkle asked Aparna as she and Chinki insisted that they should go out for dinner with Yuvi, it would give her a welcome change from all that she had been dealing with lately. “Twinkle, I’ve finally managed to get your stalker to stop his doings immediately! Don’t we deserve to celebrate?” Aparna said finally, trying her last resort. “Really? Does that mean I can go back to leading a perfectly normal life now?” Twinkle asked suspiciously and Aparna nodded, pleading her to get ready now. Twinkle gave in, relieved with one less thing to worry about. And so they went to the restaurant that Yuvi had chosen. While Yuvi parked the car, the girls went in to find a table. Chinki and Aparna left Twinkle at the table they had decided upon, telling her that they needed to go the washroom. She had been wondering when the two of them had grown so close to each other and giggling to herself when she thought she heard a familiar voice at the table behind her. Listening carefully, she realised that she recognised both voices, they were Kunj and Alisha. She wondered what they were doing together, but couldn’t hear what they had been saying clearly. She pretended to be casually looking around and spotted Kunj offering Alisha a tissue that she accepted readily.

“Oh my God! Kunj and Alisha!” Yuvi exclaimed when he got there and saw Twinkle staring at them, grabbing their attention. Kunj stood up immediately, looking startled. He glanced at Twinkle and cringed, stepping away from Alisha, who appeared embarrassed. “Twinkle, please don’t misunderstand us! I ran into Kunj here and really needed to apologise to him!” She said and Twinkle smiled sadly at her, carefully avoiding Kunj. Twinkle then turned to Yuvi and sighed deeply, feeling her firm belief in her love begin to weaken her. “Twinkle! I had no idea Alisha was coming here. I had come here to meet you! I thought we could finally resolve our issues..” Kunj began defending himself, while Twinkle looked on confusedly, unsure of whether she believed him or not. “You knew I would be here?” She asked him uninterestedly, and was surprised when he looked at Yuvi and nodded. “You told him. Of course.” She expressed her disbelief towards Yuvi when Alisha stepped towards her. “Twinkle, I was always envious of how much Kunj loved you, although he would never accept it! I couldn’t contain my jealousy when he was my boyfriend but would be way happier with you! It took me years to realise that I was never even there in the picture. You two were, are and will be! I think you two should give each other one chance, for my sake.” Alisha said, surprising all of them.

Twinkle listened in shock to Kunj’s confession of how he had found about Aparna and Yuvi’s plans and taken Chinki’s help into tricking them, thereby catching them red handed. She didn’t even know what she had to say and to whom anymore. She didn’t know if Kunj was still with Alisha, and it hurt her heart horribly. “I need some time to be by myself.” She said simply, glancing at all of them before she turned around and walked away slowly. “Twinkle, you might want to steer clear of the sunset point, it’s not safe at this hour!” Kunj called after her and she stopped dead in her track, realising that he knew exactly where she would go. “I’m going home.” She replied without even turning back and continued walking.

That’s it for now, guys. The next episode will bring the much awaited revelation of the past. Stay tuned. Lots of love!
