Twinkle woke up to what seemed like someone walking and dragging something.
Tick tick scrape tick tick scrape tick tick scrape.
She turned to her left and saw Kunj wasn’t there on the bed. So that means it’s him downstairs who’s dragging something, but what? She pushed her duvet and went outside to see what’s going on. To her shock, he was dragging a dead body. She gasped and ran downstairs approaching him. “Kunj, what the hell? Who’s she? Why are you with her? Why did you brought her here? Most probably why are you dragging her?” She asked vulnerably.
He pushed her aside and she fell on her knees. She looked at him in a shock, he had never behaved like this before. “She’s whoever is she, I m with her because I want to be with her, I brought her here because she was buried out there in the cold, and I won’t drag her now but I will take lifting her,” he said in devilish voice. He took lifting the dead body of the girl in his arms and went to their room, she followed them and stopped at the entrance seeing him putting the dead body on the bed beside him.
He slept cuddling to it. She broke down seeing this, her heart had shattered. Why did he do this? How can he give her side of bed to a blo*dy dead body? How can he just bring her here in their house? She sat down cryingly and couldn’t even share her pain with someone else. She didn’t knew when she fell asleep.
Next morning, Kunj woke up and couldn’t see the dead body due to dim light. He kissed her cheek assuming it’s Twinkle but he held his nose as her smell stung his nose.
“What did this happen to Twinkle? Why does she smells like this?” He asked himself and held her face which was ice cold and turned it towards him, he switched on the lights and as he looked at her face, it scared him to death as he realized it wasn’t Twinkle. Her eyes were pitch black, her skin was very pale, her lips were dry, he removed the duvet from above her with trembling hands and saw that she had snake bites all over her body. Her neck had a huge hickey, he palmed her eyes and sat senseless.
He wondered what had happened to Twinkle and where she was and who was she, why was she in Twinkle’s place. He got out of the room and startled seeing Twinkle sleeping with her back supporting the wall. He shook her. “Twinkle!” He shouted and shook her, she woke up getting startled and stood up. “Twinkle, huhhh, thank God you’re okay, thank God,” he said and hugged her tightly, she hugged him back in confusion. Didn’t he remember anything about last night? Why was he reacting like this? “Twinkle, you are okay na?” He asked and she nodded, he sighed.
“I got scared to death, come,” he said and took her by her hand to their room and pointed at the dead body on her side of bed. “Twinkle, tell me who’s she? How did she come here? Who brought her here? Tell na please?” He asked and she looked at the dead girl and then at him. “Why are you asking me? How will I know? You will be knowing that, won’t you?” She asked and he raised his eyebrows at her. “I will be knowing? How? I don’t even know who’s she,” he said trying to convince her.
“So did she come here on her own?” She asked. “I don’t know anything,” he said. “Don’t lie to me Kunj, you brought her here,” she said and told her everything. “Yeah I went outside but I don’t remember getting her out of the ice, it’s just a jigsaw puzzle, this girl, who’s she? Who the hell is she? I m getting her out of here,” he said and picked her on his shoulder while Twinkle stared at him blankly as he went outside with her. She held her head and sat on the bed getting frustrated and angry both at the same time.
Kunj took the shovel and dug the icy layers till it was deep enough and buried her inside not even caring to close her eyes that stared upwards blankly. He returned home and saw Twinkle was nowhere to be seen. He went to their room and heard the water sound. “What the hell? She is taking a bath in such icy weather?” He asked himself and banged the door. “Twinkle! Twinkle! It’s cold,” he said and she didn’t reply as she was irritated by him. “Twinkle!” He shouted. “Margayi tumhari Twinkle!” (Your Twinkle died) She shouted back angrily.
“What yaar Twinkle? You’re getting irritated for no reason,” he asked. “Get lost Kunj, I don’t want to talk to you,” she said, he sat on the bed getting disappointed. “Okay yaar but at least come out,” he said. “Not at all, I don’t want to look at you, at least my anger would cool down in this icy water,” she said and he sighed.
Later at night, Twinkle again woke up to what seemed like someone walking and dragging something.

She turned to her left and saw Kunj wasn’t there on the bed. So that means it’s him downstairs who’s dragging something, but what? She pushed her duvet and went outside to see what’s going on. To her shock, he was again dragging the same dead body. She got angry and went downstairs. “Kuuuuuuunj, you buried her so why did you bring her again? You fool! Get it out of here,” she said and he pushed her sideways again and went to their room and slept cuddling the dead body. Twinkle watched helplessly. Just then she fell on her tummy and was dragged downstairs outside on the ice and the door slammed on her face.
