A quick recap: Raj’s parcel for Twinkle, Twinj’s moments together, Alisha’s next move

“About the divorce.. Have you signed it yet?” Alisha asked Twinkle plainly, though she was desperately waiting to hear her reply.
Twinkle looked at Kunj and then back to Alisha before she spoke slowly, “Yes.”
Kunj’s eyes widened, and he blankly stared at Twinkle as she walked into the room, and handed over some papers to Alisha, who pretended to console Twinkle, and convince her that everything would be alright.

As soon as she was gone, Twinkle turned to Kunj, who was sitting on the floor, his back leaning against the wall. “Kunj! What..” Her words were cut short when she saw tears in his eyes. “I said I’m sorry Twinkle… And had you not promised me that you would never sign those papers? What have you done?” He spoke in a confused tone, holding onto her hand like his entire life depended on it, but before Twinkle could answer, Chinki was at their door.
“Twinkle! Uncle and aunty have called everyone downstairs right now. They say they have some important announcement to make… It’s related to their final decision on kidnapping issue… Come quickly!!!” She screamed, literally pulling her along, while Twinkle’s hand slipped out of Kunj’s, and the two exchanged a painful glance. “Kunj! Look, I know there’s something else that’s wrong too, but this is important. Let’s go” Chinki called out to him, while he stood up lifelessly, and was about to leave the room, when he saw something on the table.

Walking down the stairs, Twinkle rushed over to Rahul, while he gave her an understanding smile. “Are you sure this is going to work? I’ve put everything that I have at stake Rahul… Kunj is annoyed again… If even the slightest thing goes wrong, I’ll lose everyone’s trust… Even bhaiyu…” She spoke all in one breath, tears filling in her eyes at the thought.
“Hey! I didn’t know my bestie is such a weakling!” He spoke, while she chuckled a little through her tears. “Listen, we have done all that we could, and we know we’ll succeed… And you won’t lose anyone… We all will get them back, get it? Just believe me Twinkle, I’ll never let you down…” He continued, while she nodded like a little kid.

“Who’s the girl?” Twinkle asked him suddenly, while he giggled. “I know I got a little too philosophical.. that doesn’t mean there’s a girl. Stupid!” He said, and Twinkle joined his laughter.
Aman heard them discussing some cameras and microphones, and leaned in. “What’s going on guys? Hey! That’s not fair!! You guys can’t plan anything without including us.. wait. Let me tell Yuvi bhai..” he said, and walked over to Yuvi, but stopped in his tracks, and all eyes turned to the staircase, from where they had heard that noise of something fall over and break.

“Kunj!” Came the unanimous scream, as he didn’t even realise a glass vase break and scatter just a hair breadth away from him, but he assured everyone that he was alright, nevertheless, Twinkle could sense some change in his behaviour. He was no longer looking as depressed as he was a few minutes ago, but another feeling, one of nervousness seemed to take over him. Unable to bear his gaze, she looked away, and soon everyone had assembled at the hall.

There was a weird silence in the room, it seemed like no one knew how to begin the conversation.
“Alright then. I think we should get straight to the point now.” Manohar spoke and all the bent heads looked up at him at once. “After much discussion, we have arrived at a conclusion on the issue.” He began, only to be cut short by Rahul.
“I’m really sorry uncle, I know I shouldn’t be speaking in between, but before you declare your judgement, there’s something I need all of you to pay attention to..” he said, hoping he would be permitted. “And what exactly makes you think that we’ll listen to you Rahul?” Usha retorted, bitterness evident in her voice.

“Ma.. please give us an opportunity to prove them right…” Twinkle pleaded, and at once, she felt everyone’s eyes peering at her. “Twinkle! Don’t get trapped in all this… The last thing we would want is that they stop trusting you as well… We can handle all this, you won’t be able to take their cold behaviour..” Her ever-loving bhaiyu muttered. She smiled, feeling blessed that around her were people who loved her more than themselves.

“Twinkle! Now don’t tell me that you too are on their side..” RT’s voice thundered through the house, while Twinkle looked down momentarily, took a deep breath, and then indicated Rahul to carry on.
Rahul picked up a remote, and switched the television on, while everyone looked on tensed, wondering what was going on.

The screen lit up, showing Alisha and Raj at the terrace of the Taneja mansion. “Look at this Raj!!!” Alisha showed him some papers, which Kunj recognised were the divorce papers that Twinkle had handed over to Alisha that morning.
“You mean Twinkle was so foolish that she got trapped in your soothing talks and actually signed the divorce papers?” Raj asked, being surprised.
“Not just that, I’ve also managed to captivate the Sareja elders so much that right now they will be destroying the unity of the family with their own hands!” She spoke, laughing uncontrollably.

“But what will I gain from all this? Have you ever thought of that?” She asked, pointing towards Raj, while he quietly looked on. “I’ll finally be able to make Kunj mine, and with that, automatically, atleast half of the Sareja empire’s shares will be mine too… I’ll rein in luxury, and Kunj! He’s so worried about his family, that I can make him fulfil all my wishes just by taking even Twinkle’s name” She said, and quickly looked away.

“Don’t take me for an evil witch, Raj! It’s not that I want to hurt anyone. Not even Twinkle, although she’s the one who has stolen my Kunj from me… If I really wished to harm her, I could have easily killed her and got away with it over three years ago… Remember that truck accident that Twinkle was about to meet with?” She spoke, now there some different emotion in her voice, something that the others couldn’t pretty much figure out.

At the Sarna mansion, a queer silence had taken over. The elders were shocked out of their senses. They couldn’t believe that Alisha would stoop down to such a level for her selfish greed. Kunj, Yuvi, Aman and Chinki smiled, feeling proud of Rahul and Twinkle, while Amaya watched all the drama happen quietly, she didn’t even know how she should be reacting.

Meanwhile, Alisha continued, “I had even managed to trap Kunj once and get him to call me his girlfriend in front of the world… But when Twinkle walked over to that cliff, I somehow didn’t want her to die, I couldn’t let someone, anyone die for my wishes to be fulfilled. I myself called up Yuvi and told him that she was about to jump off. If she had died that day, I wouldn’t have wasted three years merely on planning all this… Kunj would have become mine effortlessly, even then, I didn’t let that happen. So, you know that I’m not bad Raj, trust me… It’s a different issue that I regret saving her that day though” Alisha said, dropping another bomb at the Sarna mansion. Not one of the elders knew about it, not even Leela.

“Twinkle! What.. when did all this happen?” Leela asked Twinkle, rushing over to her. She had tears filled in her eyes, tears of regret that she couldn’t find out that her lovely daughter had been so stressed that she had to take such a drastic step.
Twinkle, instead of replying to Leela, picked up her phone, dialled a number, and as everyone looked on, Raj’s phone rang. “Raj! I think that’s sufficient. You both might as well reach here in ten minutes” Twinkle spoke on the phone, and with that, every single person other than Rahul was taken totally aback.
