Twinj: When I fell for you: Episode 3

Greetings everyone… Ananya here. A huge thank you to all those of you who commented on my previous episode, and also an equally huge thank you to my silent readers, if any.
Guys, one sincere request that i wish to make, is that, please do give me your feedback, positive or otherwise, because I will be unable to make out if you guys are really liking what I write or not, if not for your honest opinions. It’s just that my comments got reduced to half, in an interval of just one episode, and I am unsure if I should really continue…
Alright, we’ll think about this stuff later. Lets begin…

Twinj: When I fell for you: Episode 3

A quick recap: Twinkle’s efforts to act normal, and Kunj’s weird self hurting incident. Amaya’s equation with Twinkle and Yuvi.

Twinkle and Amaya are engrossed in a deep conversation. Twinkle tells Amaya that Yuvi told her the name of the person whom he loves.

“Who is it Twinkle? Tell me quickly. I can’t tolerate all this anxiety anymore. Come on…” Amaya pleaded to Twinkle.
Twinkle smiled and replied, “That girl is… his lovely sis, Twinkle Taneja!” Watching Amaya’s horror filled face, Twinkle burst out laughing. “Arrey! Di! Your bestie urf love is my brother na? Which brother doesn’t love his sis? Obviously he loves me. Di, if it was so easy to find out about bhaiyu’s feelings, I would have found out long ago..” she continued, calming Amaya down.

“Twinkle, if Yuvi was really in love with someone, then….” Amaya began angrily, only to be counter questioned, ” Then?” But this time the voice sounded different. In utter shock, both girls looked at the door, where Yuvi was standing, listening to their talks. Both were worried of how much Yuvi had heard.

“Bhaiyu, di was telling me that if you were in love with someone, and had not told her, she would have killed you.. she is your bestie after all..” Twinkle covered up. Yuvi looked suspiciously at them before telling Amaya that her mom had called her back home. Amaya, who was just thinking of a way to avoid the awkward moment, left immediately.

As Yuvi turned to leave, Twinkle called him from behind.
“Bhaiyu, Amaya di’s marriage has been fixed. U know ryt? That’s why she left in a hurry…” She spoke slowly.
Yuvi looked at her with an ​astonished expression. He immediately took his car keys and left, muttering “This cannot happen.”
Twinkle smirked, satisfied with her doings, and called Amaya and gave her some instructions which are muted out.

Sarna mansion.
“AMAYA! How could you do this to me? No, you cannot. You just won’t. I know you won’t. Where are you?” Yuvi screamed. Everyone assembled in the hall listening to all the shouting.
No sooner had Amaya come down the stairs than Yuvi began, “Tum aise nahi kar sakti mere saath. Nahi kar sakti. Tum kisi aur se shaadi nahi kar sakti. Bilkul bhi nahi. Samjhi?”
(“You can’t do this to me. You can’t. You can’t marry someone else. Definitely not. Understand?”)
” Lekin kyu nahi Yuvi? ” Usha asked, worried about his sudden weird behaviour.
(“But why not Yuvi?”)
“Aap sab samajh kyu nahi rahe ho… Pyaar karta hoon main Amaya se. Use kisi aur ki hote hue nahi dekh sakta” he said, and was surprised with his own words.
(” Why aren’t you all understanding.. I love Amaya. I cannot watch her become someone else’s”)

Despite Twinkle’s desperate efforts to make Yuvi realise his love for Amaya, Yuvi had never accepted it, and today, he had unknowingly found out what was actually in his heart.

Wasting no more time, he went on his knees, and stretched out his hand before Amaya.

“Ummm awkward lag raha hai yaar. Kaha se shuru karu? (“Umm I am feeling awkward yaar. Where shall I begin from?”) I love you so much Amaya, I don’t know from when, but I just can’t live without you, will you marry me…? Please forgive me for this stupid proposal and also because I don’t even have roses or a ring. U know me even better than I know myself, I am not romantic at all… So?” He said, feeling awkward, and looking expectantly at Amaya..

Amaya ran towards him, and hugged him, and spoke with tears of joy flooding her eyes, “You can’t even imagine for how long I have been waiting for this Yuvi. I love you too!” Yuvi hugs her back, both unable to comprehend the immense joy they felt.

That’s when the Tanejas entered, and Twinkle reveals that all this had been her plan to unite the love birds. Both families rejoice, tease the love birds and feed each other sweets.
Twinkle looks at Kunj who was distributing sweets, and tears immediately spring to her eyes. She thinks, “I would never want that, which happened to me in love, happen to bhaiyu and bhabhi, or anyone else…”

Later, when everyone sits around and talks, Kunj catches Twinkle alone in the garden.
“Thank you so much for keeping aside your hatred for me, and uniting di and jiju..”

Preventing him from speaking further, Twinkle immediately replies,
“First of all, whatever I did was for my bhaiyu and my bhabhi. Secondly, I always loved you truly Kunj. Whatever happened was unfortunate. It shouldn’t have happened… ” She gulped and continued with tears in her eyes, “Kunj, perhaps u still don’t know me well enough. Despite all that happened, my respect for you remains undiminished since you are bhabhi’s brother. Nothing else…” she said, walking away. Suddenly, she looked back, and found Kunj looking at her with tears filled​ in his eyes. They shared a painful eye lock before Twinkle composed herself…

On the other hand, Yuvi and Amaya’s marriage and engagement dates had been fixed, and the Tanejas returned home since the dates were close by and they had to begin the arrangements quickly.
Twinkle felt really heavy in her heart, her soul throbbed in pain. As Leela gave her a good night hug as usual, Twinkle’s​ tears just wouldn’t stop… She somehow managed to get to her room without anyone noticing her tears.

Then she burst out crying, unable to take the burden on her heart anymore. She cried for a long time, recalling all her moments with Kunj, and took the photo frame on her bedside table. It was a picture of her and Kunj, her bhaiyu and bhabhi, both pairs looking extremely happy in each other’s company…
“Good old times… “She thought.
“Kunj!” She whimpered, unable to handle the immense heart wrenching pain she was feeling, and sat down with her back against the balcony door, recalling an incident which had been so lovely then, but brought pain now…

Flashback.
Twinkle is listening to some music and reading a novel, while she hears a low tapping sound. She opens the balcony door, knowing that it was none other than her Sadu Sarna.
She pretended to be unaware of his reasons for coming. “Kunj tum is wakt yaha? Koi kaam tha?”
(“Kunj, you here at this hour? Did you have any work here?”)

Kunj engulfed her into a back hug, and then began speaking. “Uff Siyappa Queen! Teri ye nakhre! Tujhe sach mein nahi pata ki main yaha kyu aaya hoon? Arrey yaar! Tu kal ja rahi hai phir se Bombay… Teri us IIT mein. Pichle teen saalon se tujhse is tarah, teri jaane se pehli wali raat ko milne ki aadat pad gayi hai… Ab is mein meri galti todi na hai…”
(” Uff Siyappa Queen! Your attitude! You really don’t know why I have come here? Arrey yaar! You are going to Bombay again tomorrow… To your IIT. From the last three years, I have been habituated to meeting you like this, on the night before you leave… Now there isn’t my mistake in all this right?”)
He said, giving her a kiss on her cheek.

Twinkle blushed. She was well aware of how much the two missed each other. However, she was happy that this was going to be her final year, and she would be back to her Kunj forever after its completion. And even Kunj understood this.
The two sat on the couch.
“Kunj tum mujhe bhool ke kisi aur se pyaar to nahi karne lag jaoge na?” Twinkle asked like she always asked on this kind of meetings. (“Kunj you won’t forget me and fall for someone else ryt?”)
Kunj took her into his arms, and said, as he always did, “Shhh Twinkle.. Aisa kuch kabhi ho hi nahi sakta. Main tujhse tab tak pyaar karta rahoonga jab tab main zinda rahoonga…” (“Shhh Twinkle… Nothing like that can ever happen. I will love you till I am alive…”)

Twinkle is jolted back into the present.
“Kunj tumne mujhse vaada kiya tha na?” She cried out. (“Kunj you had promised me ryt?”)
It is shown that Kunj is sitting on the the other side of the balcony door, and crying silently listening to Twinkle’s words. Twinkle, being tired because of all the crying, falls asleep right there.

Realising that Twinkle had fallen asleep, Kunj gets up, “I am really sorry Twinkle. I know you can never forgive me. All this was due to unavoidable circumstances. I am helpless….” He sighs deeply, and returns back home.

Whew! Ya guys, that’s it for now. Alright, so that was the first proposal and first twinj flashback of my ff. Do tell me how you guys felt about it. Loads of love to you all. Take care. Bye…..
