A quick recap: Kunj’s concert, Twinj’s conversation about the past

As Twinj reached the Taneja mansion, they were surprised to find everyone sitting in the hall, tension evident on their faces. Aman and Rahul were walking around talking on their phones, urgency evident in their behaviour. Leela and Usha were sitting staring blankly in front, while the others too looked confused and shocked.
Twinkle went running to Leela, worried, while Leela began sobbing.
“Thank goodness you both have returned! You both should be able to do something about this…” Usha said, comforting Leela, and heaving a sigh of relief.
“Alisha has been kidnapped” Amaya said quietly and quickly, looking no where in particular, while Twinj shared a quick glance at each other and then looked at her. They were wondering if they had heard it right. “Who would kidnap that devil?” Twinkle murmured slowly, while Kunj looked at her with a ‘you are impossible’ expression, trying hard to control his laughter.

“No ransom calls, no trails, nothing. Nobody was seen leaving or entering the house other than the family either.” RT listed his observations, suspecting foul play.
“This isn’t the time for all this. Alisha went missing from our house, and we were solely responsible for her safety at that time. We need to find her and get her back. We can look for the culprit later…” Manohar argued.
“Poor thing! Who knows what state she is in? Please find her… She was already disturbed with her separation from her parents, and you all had hurt her further hurt her with your rudeness!” Leela spoke, while everyone wondered how Alisha had managed to manipulate her mind so much.
They decided to wait till the next morning to see if she shall come back herself, since they had no proof that she had been kidnapped, other than the disarray her room was in.

The next morning, as Twinkle walked down the stairs with Amaya and the little baby for breakfast, she saw a man at the door. He had been standing with a tray that had some things, which were evidently nuptial symbols, vermillion, bangles, a red veil, and other things, all draped in red.
“For Miss Taneja. From the Sarnas” He told Twinkle, as he handed them over to her.
“You must be mistaken. This stuff must be for Mrs.Taneja, Amaya bhabhi that is. Why would anyone send all this stuff for me?” She spoke, laughing a little.
“No Twinkle, he isn’t mistaken. This is for you… For your marriage..” Usha said, as she walked into the house with Manohar.

Twinkle was bewildered. She couldn’t tolerate the thought that someone wanted to get her married without even asking her consent. She glared at her parents and her bhaiyu, and the way they avoided eye contact made it evident that they knew of this before.
“Twinkle, we thought it was about time that you got married…” Leela said quickly, defending herself.
“Wait… All this has to be a joke, right?” Twinkle asked, panicking.

“But Leela aunty, weren’t you the one who was saying yesterday that since Alisha is kidnapped, we shouldn’t worry about anything else until she’s found?” Kunj retorted, wondering who Twinkle’s groom would be. Amaya, Yuvi, Chinki, Aman and Rahul were just blinking, neither protesting nor celebrating. Twinkle looked at them for help, but they didn’t pay any attention to her.
“We won’t have any further discussion on this topic. Get it? Twinkle, take this, and go to your room immediately. We’ll speak to our family priest and tell you the date for the engagement soon..” Leela said decidedly, handing her the tray of nuptial symbols that had been sent for her.

“But Ma..?” Twinkle began, while Leela raised her hand, indicating her to stop.
“Papa! Please say something… You will surely support me, won’t you? Please tell Ma that I don’t want to get married…” Twinkle sobbed, as she ran to RT, who came down the stairs just then. RT gave her a peck on her forehead, comforting her, as he assured her that he would never do anything against her wish, and to trust him that he was doing that, which was the best for her. She was lost. She didn’t know how to react.
“Bhaiyu..?” Twinkle cried out, looking at Yuvi, who seemed to be the last ray of hope for her. He just held her hand, and took her along with him to her room.

Once they were in her room, Yuvi gave her a glass of water. “Twinkle, what’s with all this crying? You can just justify why you don’t want to get married. You can atleast tell me. Nobody shall force you…” He assured her, giving her a side hug.
“Bhaiyu? How can I get married? And how would I have told everyone downstairs that I love Kunj?” She uttered absentmindedly, and gasped as she realised what she had just said. She hesitantly looked up at Yuvi, who was smiling at her.
“I mean… Nobody would understand that I don’t want to get married yet..” she slowly spoke, trying to cover up her blunder.
“No worries my princess! Everything is under control. Trust me…” Yuvi said, winked at her and walked away.

Twinkle was confused now. She couldn’t figure out what was happening around her. She slowly thought over the events that happened that day. “Usha aunty came with the nuptial symbols, she recalled. Could it mean…? No… I shouldn’t be building sand castles in air… Expectations shall end up killing me…” She thought, as she closed her eyes, and let a fresh stream of tears to flow down her cheeks.
She recalled how Kunj and she had dreamt of getting married, and then their painful separation. She wondered how she would be able to forget Kunj and her love for him, and move on in life.

Meanwhile, Kunj was pestering Amaya to tell him whom Twinkle was going to get married to, while she teased him around, denying from knowing anything.
What’s it to him, she argued. His bestie, he replied sharply. After he had finally accepted that he still loves her, Amaya asked him to take a chill pill, and assured him of her support, and went away, a mischievous smile on her face.

“Maa… Do you have any idea of where Alisha is? Don’t you think we should wait for her return?” Twinkle asked Leela, when she had finally found the courage to confront her.
Leela looked at her quietly for a minute.
“The policemen told us that they had reports of her seen leaving the town. She’ll be back when she wants to…” She said coldly and went away. Twinkle was confused. Her Ma, who was weeping for Alisha just the previous day, had given up so abruptly like it all meant nothing to her. She had noticed an uncertainty in her voice, like she had been lying. Twinkle next asked Rahul, who just affirmed that Leela was right.

“It isn’t easy for me Usha… How can I force my daughter for anything?” Leela told Usha with tears in her eyes, as they sat in her room, discussing the happenings.
“But Leela, you know Twinkle will be really happy. All this is for her good too..” Usha assured her.
“I am afraid of the consequences when she finds out the reason for all this hurrying… I know she shall be really happy, but..” Leela said, dreading the thought of the truth being revealed to Twinkle.
“Don’t worry Leela… When you have been strong enough to take this decision, you shouldn’t back off in between. Trust me, everything will be alright. Besides, we all are always there for her… Aren’t we?” Usha consoled her, before they left to meet the priest.

On the other hand,
“Chinki, Aman, you guys won’t lie to me. Spill whatever you know!” Twinkle roared, looking at them threateningly.
“Hey! What are you guys thinking about? Speak up quick.” Kunj joined her in her investigation.
“We don’t..” Chinki began.
“Enough! I’ve heard enough of this. The truth?” Twinkle demanded.
“Who the hell is Twinkle’s groom?” Kunj asked, burning in jealousy.
Aman chuckled. “Jealous. Aren’t you bro?” He asked.
“Aman! Wrong time for your jokes dude!” Twinkle said, rolling her eyes at him.
“Chinki! Tell us why they are hurrying up with Twinkle’s wedding despite Alisha’s kidnap. And who is the groom? Who is it? Speak up!” Kunj said, giving her a glare. What he heard next left him in a daze for a long time.
“Its you, Kunj! You are the groom” Chinki said quietly, watching the to-be bride and groom’s expressions change drastically.
