Twinj: When I fell for you: Episode 19

A quick recap: It is revealed that Alisha’s men had spread rumours in the reception. Twinkle’s emotional breakdown and memories of her and Kunj’s relationship.

It’s dawn. Twinkle wakes up to a familiar voice calling out to her. She slowly opened her eyes and was shell shocked to find Kunj standing in front of her. As if reading her mind, Kunj quickly explained his presence.
“Aaj tumhara office mein pehla din hai na.. to isiliye jagaane aa gaya tha. Kyun ki main to bohot acchi tarah se jaanta hoon ki Siyappa Queen bhool gayi hogi aur Kumbkaran ban ke so rahi hogi…” He teased, trying to lighten up her mood.

She slowly stood up ( Guys if you remember, Twinkle had fallen asleep right where she had been sitting the previous night.) and slightly yawned. That’s when it struck her.
“Mere kamre ka darwaza band tha to tum andar kaise aaye?” She asked, quickly thinking from all the possible angles.

“Aise” Kunj said, showing her the open door of her balcony.
She narrowed her eyes at him, knowing that the balcony door was locked when she fell asleep the previous night.
“Fine… Remember this?” He asked, showing her a key. Twinkle’s eyes widened in horror as she recalled that incident.

Flashback.
Twinj are in Twinkle’s room, finalising a way to unite Yuvi and Amaya. They couldn’t come up with any fool proof plan, no matter how much they thought of it. They ended up pointing at the loop holes in each other’s plan rather than deciding on anything.

They finally sat down on the couch, taking a break from the tedious thinking ?.
“Hum koi na koi raasta dhoond hi lenge, mujhe poora yakeen hai..” Twinkle said. She sounded like she was convincing herself more than Kunj.
“Haan. Jab tak hum saath hain, koi na koi raasta to dhoond hi lenge..” Kunj assured her, placing his hand on hers.

“Twinkle puttar, tujhe aaraam ki zaroorat hai, subah se bhukhar hai aur tu hai ki…” Leela spoke, entering the room. Kunj immediately took his hand off Twinkle’s, and shifted a little away from her.
(Note: Guys, the elders have no idea about Twinj or Kunj and Alisha. They only assume them to be friends.)
“Main ab koi bahane nahi sunoongi. Kunj puttar tum kal aajana haan? Twinkle ko ab aaraam ki zaroorat hai..” She said, while the two frowned, knowing that there was absolutely no point in arguing with Leela then.

“Teek hai maa…” Twinkle said, giving up.
“Chalta hoon maa…” Kunj said, while Twinkle quickly slipped a key into his hand, and indicated by signs that the key was that of the balcony door.
After that incident, Twinj had managed to meet secretly many times, and no one would have the slightest clue of it.
End of flashback.

Awkwardness took over them, both clueless of what to say next.
“Accha… Jaldi jaake taiyaar ho jao. Pehle hi din late nahi hona hai na?” Kunj said quickly, preventing any further questions.
Twinkle stared at him for what seemed like an eternity. Her mind raced, she was wondering what was going on in his mind, his behaviour confused her.
“Siyappa Queen! Ab jaoge ya…”
“Jaa rahi hoon..”
Kunj sat down on the bed with a thud, relieved that the situation didn’t go beyond his control.

Twenty minutes later, Twinkle stepped out of the washroom, dressed in her office attire, a simple salwar suit. Kunj was lost in her. To him, she looked pretty in everything she wore, after all, she never failed to amaze him, he thought.
They then walked out of the room, and came down the stairs, Kunj giving her instructions to be calm and composed, and she was listening carefully, not to miss a single detail.

On the other side, in the hall, Leela was telling Yuvi to go and wake Twinkle up.
“Main subah se paanch baar koshish kar chuki hoon use jagaane ki. Kamre ka darwaza bhi band tha. Yeh kudi aaj tumhare paapa se daant khaayegi. Amaya puttar, tu to koshish karle..”
“Kya maa, jhoota ilzaam laga rahe ho aap meri princess par, wo dekho…”
The trio turned to see Twinj coming downstairs, looking really happy in each other’s company. The memory of their childhood struck them.

Flashback.
Twinj were walking down the stairs just like now. Both of them looked about 15 year old.
At the foot of the stairs, Kunj let go of Twinkle’s hand, and came running to Leela and Yuvi, who were in the hall, and said,
“Dekha tum logon ne… Tum log nahi jaga paaye na Twinki ko.. maine jaga liya…”
He walked over to Yuvi and said, “Aap dekhna bhai.. Ek din aise hi ise apna dulhan bana ke le jaaoonga…”
They had all laughed heartily, perhaps they hadn’t even dreamt that such a thing can actually happen.
End of flashback.

Leela’s eyes became teary as she thought of how quickly her daughter had grown up. Soon, they all sat and had their breakfast. It was a special occasion after all, Amaya’s first time in the kitchen. After appreciating her cooking skills and eating to their full, they all set out for work.

“Papa.. main Amaya ko clinic mein drop karke aata hoon. Aap mera wait mat karo..” Yuvi said, and went out with Amaya. (Guys, I donno if you all remember but Amaya is a vet.)
“Mujhe kuch kaam se kahin jaana hai, to tum dono office pohonch jao. Wahan tum se milunga. Kunj tum please Twinkle ko uski cabin dikha dena. Wahan Mr. Dubey uski madad karenge..” RT said, and he too left.

As Twinj slowly walked out of the house, Twinkle asked, “Kunj, yeh Mr. Dubey kaun hain? Unki jagah tum meri madad kar do.. please…?”
“Arrey Mr. Dubey tumhare post ko sambhal rahe the. Ab wo retire hone wale hain. Bohot acche hain.. Don’t worry…”
Twinkle wasn’t convinced. Nervousness had got the better of her. Her bhaiyu and Papa weren’t there when she was going to take such a big step… That thought alone was scaring her to hell.

Soon they entered the office of the Sareja empire. Kunj held Twinkle’s hand assuringly, and led her to her cabin. He made her feel comfortable by showing her around, and customising things according to her likes. He told her that he was sure that she would be great, but nothing could calm her down. After many attempts at convincing her, she reluctantly agreed, only after he promised to come running if she needed anything.

Kunj came and sat down in his cabin and positioned himself in such a way that he could see Twinkle clearly. It was his little secret though, no-one else knew that he could clearly see her from there.
He admired her as she payed apt concentration and learnt everything that was being taught to her. Mr. Dubey was appreciating her grasping power. She was always a good learner and never ever failed to surprise people, he thought, as he recalled a childhood incident.

Flashback.
“Twinkle! Main mamma ko bataaoonga ki tumhare wajah se mujhe kam marks mile hain.” Kunj said.
“Kya?” Twinkle asked, being confused.
“Arrey! Tumne hi mere test paper pe marks likha hai na?”
“Haan… Wo mam ne mujhe marks count karke total likhne ko kaha tha isiliye..”
“To? Tumhare hi wajah se mujhe kam marks mile hain. Main mamma se complaint karoonga..”
“Come on Kunj… Tumne padhaai nahi ki to isme meri kaunsi galti hai.? Grow up Kunj! Ninth grade mein ho kar bhi chhote bacche ki tarah behave kyun karte ho?”
“Arrey.. wo…. Sach bata doon kya?”
“Haan…”
“Wo kisiko pataana hai.. Suna hai ladkiyon ko innocent ladke acche lagte hain..”
“Haan to?”
“Arrey Siyappa Queen! Tu sirf academics mein topper hai. Common sense mein zero hai samjhi? Main innocent ban raha hoon bewakoof!”
“Bewakoof tum ho Sadu Sarna! Ladki baad mein pataao. Pehle mamma se bachne ka tareeka dhoondo. Samjhe? Bada aaya common sense ki dukaan! Hmph..”
“Arrey haan yaar… Please madad kar do na?”
“Mujhe badle mein kya milega?”

“Jo bhi tum chaho. I promise.”
Then Twinkle had handled the situation so amazingly that he had been awestruck. Besides, she never lost any opportunity to black mail him using this issue.
End of flashback.

Thinking of all this, Kunj smiled wholeheartedly, when he heard someone enter into his cabin. He quickly pulled his papers and laptop in front of him, and pretended to be busy working.
“Wah Kunj! Twinkle ki aate hi kaam se dhyaan batak gaya?” The intruder said rudely. Kunj slowly looked up, fearing the worst.
