Twinj: Captured my heart (A new story by Maha)

CAPTURED MY HEART.
Twinkle Yousuf has everything all girls envy. A mansion, fancy cars, diamonds and jewels, closets filled with clothes, shoes and purses. A hot husband. But she isn’t happy. Who could be when you were forced to marry a man you don’t love just to save your family? She doesn’t want to give him a chance, nor does she want to try to begin a life with him. But what does she do when he turns out to be sweetest person she has ever met? Can she keep him at bay, or will she cave and accept it when she starts to have feelings for her husband?

Kunj Sulayman has to protect his wife from the evil people who are out to get her brother. While he only married her for that reason, he didn’t anticipate one thing; that he’d fall in love with her. So much so that he’d do anything to make her happy, except for what she really wants; to be let out of their marriage. He knows Twinkle doesn’t love him now, but should he hold out hope that one day she will?

Prologue:
The night was dark. So dark that he couldn’t even see his hand in front of him. Perhaps he should have taken it as a bad sign that even the moon was in hiding, but it was too late to back out now. He was in too deep, and if he ran, the only thing that would happen was Tahsin would have him dead. He was easily replaced.
Disposable.
He couldn’t risk doing anything wrong now.
He felt his whole body tense as the sound of an engine reached his ears, and the flash of the headlights blinded him, and he momentarily shielded his eyes until the car came to a halt. He stood nervously as the driver turned off the engine, opened the backseat and stood stiffly until a perfectly polished wing tip shoe appeared stepping out of the limo, the rest of the man appearing, his suit cut to his figure, his hair styled and a lit cigarette dangling in between his fingers.
He took a couple of steps forward until he was standing a few feet away, and flicked some ash on to the ground before speaking.
“Where’s my money?” He rasped and the other man winced.
“I don’t have it yet.”
Tahsin chuckled, a low gravelly sound and took a deep puff, before blowing the smoke out in a spiral.
“I have been really patient with you. Too patient.” He took another drag. “Where’s Talha?”
“He doesn’t know about my involvement with you.”
Tahsin’s eyebrows raised slightly and a small smirk appeared at the edges of his mouth.
“How very interesting. Am I right in concluding that no one knows of our little business arrangement?”
The young man said nothing and Tahsin laughed again, waving the hand that held the cigarette in the air.
“You don’t have my money right now?”
“No sir.”
“Then I want her.”
His eyes widened in panic.
“What?”
Tahsin nodded.
“You heard me I want,” he blew out another cloud of smoke, “her.”
“I don’t think that will work.”
“Make it. You make it work and I’ll pardon it all.”
“W… What?” The man asked, trembling slightly and Tahsin nodded.
“You don’t get me her?” He tossed the cigarette on to the floor, ground it under his heel and took steps until their noses were almost touching. “There will be hell to pay.”

A really big hello to everyone after what seems like forever. I missed you guys so damn much. Hopefully you guys haven’t forgotten me. A new story from my side. A totally different plot but obviously it’d continue after I get satisfactory response. I’m on bed rest due to my sudden illness and out of boredom I thought to start writing again. Do share your opinions because the fate of this story depends on it.
Stay awesome<3
