Bakhuda Tumhi Ho-
Episode-14
——————————-
Next Morning-
“Twinkle! What decision have you taken?” Disha asked intently.
Twinkle closed her eyes painfully. “I WANT DIVORCE.” She answered in a low voice.
The spoon fell off Disha’s hand at those words.
“What are you saying Twinkle! I mean…”
“Disha. I can’t live all my life with a fear that he would cheat me again. He just can’t change.”
“But Twinkle, at least talk to Kunj once before taking such a harsh decision!”
“There’s nothing left to talk about Disha. Everything is crystal clear.” She said and got up to leave when Disha caught her wrist.
“Wait Twinkle. You’re the one who used to tell we shouldn’t judge a person by his past. Then what happened now?” Disha snapped.
“It’s not a judgment Disha.” Twinkle tried to sound angry now but there were tears in her eyes. “You don’t know how insulted and unwanted I felt at that moment when I saw that girl in MY husband’s arms! You know Disha, I’ve stayed in a hostel for so many years. There was no one to tell me what is right and wrong or object on anything I do! But still, I never went on the wrong path, I preserved my dignity for my husband and not to see this day! Why are you defending him so much huh? He doesn’t even realize!”
“Oh yes he does! Wait a minute!” Disha said and walked towards dinning table to grab her phone. “Read this.” She commanded handing over her phone to Twinkle. It was flooded with Kunj’s messages from last night.
‘Disha Twinkle is there na?’
‘Is she Ok?’
‘We had an argument, no no I was being a jerk!’
‘I’ve to say sorry to her!’
‘What should I do that she forgives me?’
‘Why are you being a lazy potato! I know you’re reading this! Reply fast!’
A faint and weak smile came on her face. Even though he didn’t love her, at least he cared for her.
Disha kept a hand on her shoulder. “As you wish Twinkle. I’ve no right to ask you to change your decision. But remember one thing, relationships aren’t about ‘With Whom We Can Live? It’s About Without Whom We Would Die?’ I know you’ll take the right decision.” She smiled and left.
She took on the depth of Disha’s words. ‘She’s right I can’t live without him! But I can’t forgive him just like that! Because if I do, he’ll take it too lightly and get used to hurting me!’ Twinkle was in dilemma.
She brushed away her thoughts when she sees the clock ticking. ‘Oh no! I’m already late!’ She mumbled and rushed to get ready and go to the hospital. There she was at relief because she was doing what she loved and wasn’t haunted by those memories anymore.
Suddenly she felt wetness on her face. She touched her face and realized blood was oozing from her nose. She wasn’t shocked because it wasn’t new to her. She angrily picked up her phone and called someone.
The woman picked up the call in the first ring itself.
“Dr. Ragini! What is this! The medicines you’ve prescribed aren’t showing any improvement! My condition is same as before!”
“Calm down Twinkle. Listen I’ll be returning after a week. We’ll conduct your blood test again and see the true results. Is it fine?”
“Hmmm.” Twinkle said and hung up.
Twinkle decided to leave early, go out with Disha for sometime so that she feels better.

At the restaurant-
She just sat in the restaurant thinking about what to do. Disha excused herself and went to the restroom.
“Hello! Can I join you?” She heard a deep masculine voice.
She looked up to see Rishab standing there with a smile. His smile wasn’t helping at all.
She tried to force a smile and nodded.
“So you here? That too alone? Where is your all-so-romantic husband?” He asked excitedly.
He was asking just casually but Twinkle’s wounds resurfaced and she felt like a taunt.
Seeing her expressions, he spoke, “if you don’t want to talk about it then it’s Ok. We’ll talk about something else. Well it’s a pleasure to meet you again.”
Just then she heard a stern voice, “Twinkle!” She turned her head to the direction of well known voice to see Kunj standing there.
‘What does he want now?’ She saw him with a painful expression even though she tried to pretend that she didn’t care.
“Hey Kunj! Come join us.” Came Rishab’s mocking voice making Kunj angrier.
He ignored Rishab and turned to Twinkle, “Twinkle come with me.” He said pulling her by her hand. She didn’t move. She was angry now. After doing everything, the nerve he had to talk to her like this!
“Which home huh? I’m not going anywhere! I’ll have dinner here and then go to Disha’s place.” She stated sternly. By now everyone, was staring at them.
“Leave her hand Kunj! She doesn’t want to go with you!” Rishab said with a smirk.
Kunj was hardly controlling his anger now. He let out a deep sigh and cursed himself for the words which are about to come out from his mouth unwillingly. He brought his face closer to Twinkle and said in a low voice, “do you know what you’re doing? It’s called ADULTERY! That is, cheating on your partner.”
Twinkle felt like slapping him again! He was talking about infidelity! How dare he!
“Oh! So you can sleep around with women and I can’t even dine with one!” She said with venom and in flat tone.
Kunj was sad and hurt. He had never heard her talking like this but he plastered his pain with seriousness, in which he was master. “You’re coming with me or not!” He questioned in a dangerously low voice.
Twinkle was scared for a second but she gathered courage and answered firmly, “NO!”
“Fine your wish!” He said and yanked her up in his arms and put her over his shoulder and began walking out. She was shocked!
“Kunj! Put me down! Now!” Twinkle yelled angrily constantly hitting his back with her fisted hands. Rishab was amused at the whole scene. Kunj walked out of the restaurant with Twinkle in his arms. And didn’t bother to pay attention to her shouting!
He pushed her in the passenger seat careful not to hurt her head and locked the door. He began driving the car while Twinkle kept trying to open the door.
“What the hell is wrong with you! Stop the car right now Kunj!” She yelled.
“Now this car will stop at my home. Oh sorry, at OUR home.” He said coolly and continued driving.
Twinkle kept shouting all the while but that didn’t affect him even a bit.
They reached home, Kunj came out of the car and opened the side door for her. She didn’t move. “Now you’re coming out by yourself or want a ride?” He asked flatly.
Twinkle angrily kicked the door open and walked inside while he followed.
“Twinkle?”
She lost her patience now. “Do you know what you just did is called. It’s called KIDNAPPING!”
“Is that so? Well I can kidnap my own wife.”
“I’m not your wife. After what you did, do you really think…”
Kunj placed his finger on her lips. “Just listen to me once.” He sighed, he didn’t know from where and how to start. “First of all, I’m not making any excuses so let me get this straight. Yes I’ve hurt you really bad. And I’m really sorry for it. You can give me any punishment but…” He closed his taking a deep breath, “but… Don’t leave me. Don’t go. Don’t hate me. I won’t be able to stand that. I know saying SORRY isn’t enough. I’ll actually have to change myself and your thinking about me. And I will. Please Twinkle. I’m really guilty.” Twinkle had never heard him talking for so long that too being so emotional. This was a completely new side of him- the vulnerable one.
“Ok I forgive you. But that doesn’t mean the pain is gone. It’ll take some time.” She reached the room and stood in front of window folding her arms. She said softly hoping he would understand.
“Hmmm. I won’t hurt you anymore.” He said and turned to leave.
Twinkle didn’t want him to leave now! But she consoled herself and held back her tears. She couldn’t show him her weakness now when he just apologized. She wanted him to understand the fact that a mere sorry can’t fix things and even if it does. The scratches are always there!
She wanted to hug him from back and tell him not to go but her ego held her back. So she didn’t say anything. Sometimes not talking is so effortless. But today for Twinkle, it was more tiring than lifting pianos.
This is the problem with feelings, you care too little about someone and you loss them. Care too much about them and you get hurt!
She just kept staring at him leaving up til he went out of her sight. After he disappeared she fell on her knees and broke down. ‘I’m sorry Kunj. But this is my heart not a toy with which you can play as long as you want and dump it after you’re done. Today, I can see you leave and can live through the pain. But if you do it again, I’ll die!’ She cried vigorously holding her face in her palms, sitting on the door steps while cursing herself for doing this. Just then, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around to see Manohar standing there with a painful expression. She hugged him tightly and cried her heart out. “He left dad! He left! And I let him go? I’m so bad na? I don’t even know where he went and when will he return! He just said he won’t hurt me. What does that mean?”
“Shhhh. No beta!” He consoled her. “No one could’ve done what you did today. I’m proud of you. You stood strong and firm on your decision even though it hurt you so much. He needs to realize that he’s YOURS and no one else’s. Don’t cry my child. I’ve seen you’ve made your decision and how much you LOVE him.”
“Love?” She whispered like a question. She didn’t believe in all this. She didn’t even think that way but she couldn’t deny she feels for him. Love or not don’t know but there was connected something straight to her heart. It hurts to see him in pain. It breaks her to see him with someone else and it rejoices in her happiness even when it has nothing to do with her.
“Twinkle, you should sleep now! It’s already late. Don’t think about anything, Ok! Good night.”
She just nodded and left for her room. It looked so empty, so dull without him. She thought about everything, his words, Dad’s words EVERYTHING! She laid on the bed and turned to a side wishing two strong arms magically gets wrapped around her waist so she could sleep peacefully in his embrace but it didn’t happen.
She tried to sleep but the recent incidents just haunted her like anything. In the middle of the night, she woke up, ‘What magic have you done on me Kunj?’ She helplessly asked herself. ‘Why everything seems so meaningless without you? Today when you’re not there, I feel like I don’t have any existence without you. Every breath I take is proving that I can’t live without you!’
She opened cupboard to see Kunj’s clothes. She moved her hands through them and missed him even more. She took a blazer and wrapped it around herself. She felt like his arms were wrapped around her, strong smell of his Cologne was radiating from the blazer.
Just for distraction, she turned on the music. But sometimes just one song is enough to bring back thousands of memories.
Song played…
“Tu jo nazron ke saamne kal hoga nahi…
Tujhko dekhe bin main…
Mar na jaaun kahin…
Tujhko bhool jaaun kaise…
Maane na, manaaun kaise…?
Tu bata…
Roke na ruke naina…
Teri ore hai inhe toh rehna…
Roke na ruke naina…”

She just sat on the bed and was still confused about what to do. Never in her life was she in such a big dilemma.
Other side, Kunj in hotel…
He was in the same room and was drinking alcohol and praying to pass out soon so that he could escape the pain.
“Kaat’ta hoon laakhon lamhein…
Kat’te nahin hain…
Saaye teri yaadon ke…
Hat’te nahin hain…
Sookh gaye hain aansu teri judai ke…
Palkon se phir bhi baadal…
Chhant’te nahin hain…
Khudko main hasaaun kaisi…
Maane na, manaaun kaise…?
Tu bata…
Roke na ruke naina…
Teri ore hai inhe toh rehna…
Roke na ruke naina…”

Every time he looked at the door, it brought back the memory of Twinkle’s broken expression, her pain, her tears. He walked to the mirror and saw himself… A broken man, who failed in every relation!
“Haathon ki lakeerein do milti jahaan hai…
Jisko pata hai bata de…
Jagah woh kahaan hai…
Ishq mein jaane kaisi ye bebasi hai…
Dhadkano se milkar bhi dil tanha hai…
Doori main mitaun kaise…?
Maane na, manaaun kaise…?
Tu bata…
Roke na ruke naina…
Teri ore hai inhe toh rehna…
Roke na ruke naina…”

A single lie was enough to create doubt over every truth that he ever expressed to her!
He broke the mirror angrily with his fist and his hand started bleeding but he least cared. He yelled questioning himself, ‘Why are all the women in my life unhappy? First mom, then Kalpana, and now Twinkle…’ He lying on the bed closed his eyes and thought, ‘Why life is so weird? What I wanted, I didn’t get! What I get, I wasn’t satisfied with! What I expects never happens AND what I hate keeps repeating itself!’ He sighed while a tear escaped from his eye after a long time. ‘Am I so bad? Was SHE right? Do I deserve hatred? I’m fighting to get you out of my head but I’m holding onto every word that you ever said!’
With those thoughts, he fall asleep due heavy hangover.

Morning-
Twinkle was continuously calling Disha but she wasn’t answering.
Disha was looking at her phone and saying to herself, ‘Why should I talk to you Twinkle? Do you’ve any idea of how badly you’ve hurt him? Didn’t you feel anything seeing him in pain? Didn’t you ever love him? Didn’t you realize how much you mean to him?’
“Disha pick up the phone!” Twinkle said dialling her number continuously. Finally she huffed and gave up.
‘I should leave.’ She thought and began to leave.
“Dad!” She called out when she saw Manohar leaving.
“Yes.”
“Dad please call me if Kunj comes to office.”
He smiled at her concern. “Ya sure!”

At the Office-
Yuvraj called Twinkle while she received it.
“Hey Twinkle! I’m back! I heard about whatever happened. Ok forget it. Let’s not talk about it. So what were you doing?” She was relieved that he was talking something light instead of the grave topic.
“Actually a renowned surgeon is going to come and deliver a seminar. So… We’ve to be there.”
A really big and explosive plan hit Yuvraj’s head! “Emmm! Twinkle what’s his name?”
“Dr. Malhotra Rao. Why?”
“Nothing. All the best for seminar.” He said smirking and hung up.
He ran to Kunj’s cabin. “Kunj! Get up and go to the hospital.” Listening hospital, the first thought that came to his mind was… Twinkle!
“Why? What happened? Is everything…”
“Kunj, just now I was talking to Twinkle… She told me that some Dr. Malhotra Rao has come there for seminars.”
Kunj felt jealous of how comfortably Twinkle shared everything with Yuvraj, and their good bonding.
“So what?” He asked annoyingly.
“Kunj! You know he’s not a good man! He just keeps checking out girls! He’s such a cheapster! Once I had taken Disha to him when she broke her hand but…”
“When did Disha break her hand?” Kunj asked suspiciously.
“Oh God! Now all you’re worried about is Disha! Ok sit here. I’ll go and bring Twinkle from there.” Saying this, he turned to leave but the shot he had fired was bound to hit it’s target!
“Wait!” Kunj snapped. “Biwi kiski hai?” He questioned narrowing his eyes.
Yuvraj was doing a happy dance in mind though but maintained an innocent look.
“Yours.” He answered.
“So. I’ll go!” He said, picked the car keys and left. Once Kunj leave, he started to dance happily but then realized he was in office so after fixing his tux he too walked out smiling victoriously.

At the hospital-
Twinkle, Dr. Malhotra and a senior were in the cabin. The senior doctor and Dr. Malhotra were sitting at the opposite sides of the glass table and Twinkle was standing beside the Senior’s chair, writing things on the notepad.
Just then, they heard some commotion outside.
“Twinkle, please see what it is.”
“Yes sir.” Twinkle said and was about to walk to the door when they saw Kunj walking inside with his hand behind his torso. Just seeing him brought tears in Twinkle’s eyes, tears of happiness after seeing him.
She felt like she was seeing him after ages. That 1 day had passed so badly without him.
‘Wait! He’s here! Definitely he’s going to create some blunder over here!’ Her mind pulled her heart out of her trance.
He looked at her smiling, the most adorable smile and walked towards her. She was scared and her feets involuntarily moved backwards as he kept approaching. The senior doctor and Dr. Malhotra kept staring between them and giving them, ‘what-the-hell-is-happening’ looks.
“Twinkle? Do you know him?” Dr. Malhotra asked kindly.
She didn’t know what to say. Kunj came forward and his hands which up til now were behind his torso revealed holding a bunch of deep red roses. He quickly forwarded them to Twinkle and said, “I LOVE YOU TWINKLE!” Everyone present in the cabin was shocked at this including Twinkle.
“Twinkle! Sweetheart! Take these roses. You know they contain a few thrones. But don’t worry…” He said faking a smile. “If any throne dare to hurt you…” He moved his eyes to Dr. Malhotra with scary look and continued, “I WILL UPROOT THE ENTIRE TREE! So that it never comes in your way.”
Dr. Malhotra was really scared and angry by now. “Twinkle who’s this? Do you know him?”
“Oh! I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Kunj Sarna- her husband.” He answered putting a hand around her waist and pulling her closer.
“What the hell are you doing Kunj?” Twinkle asked gritting her teeth and in a whisper which only he could hear.
“Oh ya we’re going darling!” He said loudly as if answering her question.
“What! Where?”
“On the date I had promised you.”
“What the hell Kunj! Listen stop…”
Before she could continue, Kunj kissed her cheek shocking everyone even more while Twinkle was freezed to the ground. She made a crying face pressing her lips tightly.
“Oh! I know you’re angry but it’s Ok na. Let’s go!” He spoke and dragged her out of there. She huffed forcing herself to walk because she knew, if she would resist he would do the same thing he did in the restaurant!
“What the hell is this?” Dr. Malhotra fumed. “Is this even a hospital! Where doctors romance openly!”
“I’m sorry sir. It was…” Twinkle tried to make an excuse turning herself to him, standing on the doorway but Kunj again interrupted.
“Darling chalen…” Faking a smile.
‘There are definitely going to be words with my dear husband once we reach home!’ Twinkle thought angrily.

At Home-
Twinkle had made the resolution of not talking to Kunj but how could she kept quiet after he walked around creating mess!
“What the hell were you doing there Kunj?” She yelled angrily while Kunj comfortably got seated on the couch.
“Where?” He asked pretending like he didn’t remember past few minutes.
“Don’t act like you’ve some memory loss problem!” She snapped.
He rolled his eyes. “There. I was just showing them that you’re married and they shouldn’t look at you because you’re not available.”
“But what was the need to…”
He stood up and walked close to her. He came nearer and there wasn’t gap between them. “I know you’re angry with me. But that doesn’t change the fact that you’re MINE and ONLY mine!” He said in a deep husky tone while Twinkle’s body seemed to lose control. Her breathing hitched and her eyes were fixed on his face.
He smiled. “Ok then. I’m leaving for office. I’ve too much work!” He said and left.
Twinkle was fuming. ‘After making sure that I lose my job, he’s going to office! Idiot jerk!’
She remembered the moment when he said ‘I LOVE YOU.’ She felt sad. ‘I know it was just a show off and not genuine! Wait! Am I wishing that he had genuinely said I love you to me!’ She gulped in disbelief.
