The makers of Udaariyaan have finally found the face for the role of Abhraaj Singh Sandhu. The character of Abhiraaj which was earlier played by Abhiraaj Chawla and Aman Jaiswal, will now be essayed by Tushar Dhembla.
Tushar was approached by the makers a month ago but the deal fell through owing to date issues.
Tushar talked about it in an interview with BT and shared, “I don’t know what happened between the makers and the previous actors and I didn’t even prod them. The creative team got in touch with me a month ago and said that they were keen on casting me, as they felt I fit the part. However, I was busy with a project then. They approached me again and I took it up, as I could manage my dates. I have started shooting for the show.”
The actor is currently shuttling between Chandigarh and Mumbai. “Yes, it gets hectic at times but I am enjoying this phase of being busy with work. Once the shoot of my film wraps up, I will move back to Chandigarh, which is my hometown,” he said.
Tushar is known for his role in shows like Prem Bandhan, Naagin, and Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke among other.
