The unfortunate demise of Tunisha Sharma, the lead actress of the TV show “Alibaba: Dastaan-E-Kabul,” shook the industry and her admirers profoundly on December 24, 2022. Since then, her loved ones, fans, and colleagues have been grappling with the heart-wrenching loss. A year after the tragic incident, Tunisha’s family orchestrated a solemn bhog in remembrance of the beloved actress.
Tunisha’s uncle, Pawan Sharma, took to his Instagram handle to share poignant moments from the late actress’ first barsi. The family organized a heartfelt bhog and kirtan, cherishing her memory dearly.
Captioning the post, Pawan expressed, “There is a sanctity in tears. They signify not weakness but strength. They speak volumes more than myriad tongues ever could.”
Reflecting on the indelible bond between a mother and daughter, he added, “Words fall short in conveying the boundless love they share… #Memories from Tunisha’s first Barsi (shared upon requests from Tunisha’s ardent fans and loved ones).”
A day before the commemoration, Pawan extended an invitation to Tunisha’s friends and admirers, inviting them to join in honoring her during the first barsi. He conveyed, “In loving memory of our precious angel, ‘TUNISHA SHARMA.’ DECEMBER 13th, 2023 marks the ‘FIRST ANNIVERSARY’ of her departure. While the ache lingers, so does the enduring love and legacy she bestowed upon us.”
He urged, “Come together to celebrate the moments that defined her exquisite spirit. May her memory serve as a wellspring of resilience, transcending temporal and spatial boundaries.”
Additionally, Pawan requested everyone to light a candle in Tunisha’s honor, saying, “Illuminate a candle, share a cherished memory, and let us collectively embrace the poignant symphony of reminiscence. Your unwavering support during our journey of grief and healing is invaluable. Thank you for standing beside us, preserving the legacy of our daughter ‘TUNISHA SHARMA.'”
Regarding the legal proceedings, the Bombay High Court recently declined Sheezan Khan’s plea to dismiss the FIR of suicide. Justices Ajay Gadkari and Sharmila Deshmukh noted, “The investigation records prima facie indicate the involvement of the applicant. The altercation preceding the incident seemingly constitutes direct incitement, warranting trial to ascertain if there was an intention to abet the act.” The court emphasized that the ongoing proceedings against Sheezan are warranted due to substantial evidence, refraining from halting the legal process at this stage.
