Heavy gush of wind runs around Uma’s house. Servants run and close doors and window Kanak reaches Uma’s house and gets out of her car. Meera asks why so heavy wind is gushing around today, if arrangements for guest’s welcome are done. Servant says yes. Kanak walks in emotionally remembering her past time spent in this house. She sees Meera and Uma’s nameplate and remembers Uma telling their house nameplate will have Kanak and his name. She touches name plate and it falls and breaks into pieces. She tries to pick it when Meera walks in and fumes seeing this. Kanak apologizes and saying it fell by mistake and picks broken pieces. Meera shouts stop don’t touch my husband, return his name plate. Kanak returns name plate murmuring that she gave her husband, what is in nameplate. She asks where is Mr. Uma Shankar. Meera asks why she is so interested in her husband. Kanak says they are partners now after all. Meera angrily says Kanak is lucky that she opened door, else her servants usually open door. Meera takes Kanak in and serves her juice. Kanak drinks juice and starts coughing, asks if she mixed something in this juice. Meera says yes, it is her revenge, she is insulting her since their first meeting, if she thought she would not know she is Uma’s first wife. Uma is driving his car and stops his car suddenly shouting Kanak and thanks god it was just his dream, if Meera can disappear a dead body, she can do anything.

Kanak walks behind Meera reminiscing time spent in Uma’s house and says a lot has changed. Meera asks what… Kanak says she means such an old house with new interiors inside. Meera says it is her and Uma’s symbol of love, asks her to sit and walks in. Kanak reminsces time spent with Uma, their love and nok jhok..Bolna Mahi Bolna..song…plays in the background. Kanak walks around whole house emotionally while Uma returns and imagines Kanak all around. Kanak then goes to house’s backyard where Shivji’s idol is. Uma walks behind her and her dupatta drapes over his face. She removes her dupatta from his face. Diya aur Baati hum…plays in the background next.

Uma tells Kanak that whatever was between them was very beautiful, but it was their past and their present is diferrent, they have moved far away, why is she doing this then. Kanak says she was searching answer for this since 2 years and got her answer yesterday, she still loves him a lot and cannot forget anything. Meera thinks where did govt officer go. Kanak tells Uma if he wanted to hear all this, sad she will not tell this. Uma says she has not forgotten anything, so she has come near temple. Kanak asks why did not he inform Meera about them yet. Uma warns her dare not to inform Meera about his past, holding her hands. She says the Uma he knew would not touch strange women, he has really changed. Meera walks in and asks Uma why did he return. Kanak says he came for me. Meera says she asked her to be comfortable, but she is becoming too comfortable, why did she come here. Kanak says Uma will tell her.
