Trip to Siyapaa – RagSan FF – Ch.1

Ch.1 – Good Beginnings

“Hey Krish! Wait up…” Vaani yelled behind Krish as he walked down the hallway.

“Oh hi V…Ready for tonight?” He asked her with a huge grin. “And have you seen Meera around? Can’t find her.”

“Yup and nope.” She replied looking around the area for something.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Kunal came from behind and hit Vaani’s head irritating her. She turned around swiftly with her right hand clenched in a fist.

“Woahhh. Calm down darling…Let me survive through this week for his sake” Kunal joked pointing at Krish whose face changed into a fake smile.

“Keep playing this cat and mouse game idiots…I have better work to do. Don’t forget to be at my house in exact 30 minutes or we leave without you.” Krish warned the two before leaving to find Meera. Kunal and Vaani shrugged their shoulders and went behind him. As they were walking, a group of girls is seen crowded around a door talking to each other.

“FINALLY! FEEL SOOO FREE!” A girl is seen screaming with her hands in the air. “No college for 2 weeks…such a peace!” She smiled brightly as if she was the happiest person on earth.

“Gini…where’s your jacket?” Krish came towards her and folded his hands across his chest. Kunal and Vaani were trying to muffle their laugh as they stood behind him.

“I dropped water on it so I took it off.” Ragini replied casually.

“God why can’t you wear something normal for once. Get your jacket on right now.” He commanded her.

“Calm down Krish. What’s wrong with this?” She said looking down, “Its so cute. And please, I know you are not so conservative.”

“But I am your brother…and trust me this is ANYTHING but cute.” Krish said as he looked around at the few guys who turned ever so slightly to gaze at Ragini again and again.

“ARGH! Stop trying to boss me around. I am the same age as you and I have full right to wear whatever I want!” Ragini replied in an annoyed tone and stomped off from there.

“GINI! Wait! At least…” He yelled to her back but she disappeared, “say a bye.” He completed his unfinished words.

He felt a hand on his shoulder, “Give her some space man. She’s not a kid, she can manage.” Kunal said to his friend.

“I hope so.”

Scene Shift: Fire Exit

“Woahhh who??” Sanskaar was caught by surprise as someone pulled his hand near the exit. “Ragini…What happened?” He asked when he saw the one who pulled him in. She was obviously in a bad mood, he could make out by her poker face.

Ragini pulled his collar with her hands and pushed him against the wall. Before she could open her mouth Sanskaar said, “Are we gonna do it this way?”

She simply shut her eyes in frustration and said, “Dream on idiot. I had to say, you are convincing Krish to take me along now. He’s not gonna listen to me, so you be the one to pick up this topic.”

“Me??” Sanskaar asked pointing to himself.

“Yes…Otherwise watch what I do.” Ragini threatened him coming closer.

Sanskaar bent a little to look in her eyes, whispering, “What are your plans?” A naughty grin played on his face as his eyes scanned her lips.

“Tell Krish that you have been kissing his si…” Before Ragini could even complete her sentence Sanskaar freaked out, pushing her hands off of him and stumbling towards the door.

“What! Are you crazy? You are threatening me with our relationship??? Is that how badly you want to come? I mean how evil…” Sanskaar kept blabbering on like a kid next in line to have his nails (which he didn’t cut) checked before morning prayer. Ragini watched him have his mini panic attack before she sat down near the stairs to have a hearty laugh.

“I am not crazy but I would be if I stayed in that house by myself for a week without interaction with other social creatures.”

Sanskaar’s phone began to flash Vaani’s name so he turned to Ragini and said, “Okay fine. I will figure something out. We don’t have much time. Get home, we are leaving in 30 mins.”

Ragini opened the door to leave when Sanskaar pulled her back and turned her towards him, her hands on his neck. “I should get a reward don’t you think so?”

“Get the work done first.” She replied with a smirk.

“If you want it done, I need an advance.” He teased coming closer and closer to her.

Ragini stood on her toes to reach up and planted a warm kiss on Sanskaar’s lips, who kissed her back with more passion as she held on to his head.

“WHAT THE F**K IS GOING ON!?” Swayam was standing at the door wide eyed in shock at the scene in front of him. Ragini broke the kiss, looked at him and then at Sanskaar who smiled to her and giving a hug said to leave from there.

“What the hell was this??” Swayam asked again to Sanskaar who just played with his phone in hand looking at the floor. “Are you guys…” Swayam didn’t want to complete his sentence as random blo*dy scenes came to his mind.

“It’s nothing much. We are just good friends.”

“Good friends don’t go around french kissing each other in public places Sanskaar!” Swayam said in a much louder tone now. Sanky looked up to his friend, knowing that he was tensed about him already, because rarely does Swayam say his full name.

“Okay fine. What you think is right. Ragini and I are dating for a while now.” Sanskaar gave in to his friend’s curiosity for his own health.

Swayam put both hands to his forehead unable to take in Sanskaar’s revelation. “Are you out of your mind?? You and Krish are bestfriends. You know how he is when it comes to Ragini. Don’t do this.”

“Nothing will happen Swayam. We have handled it well and will manage it in the future too, as long as you keep your mouth zipped. Apply the 3 monkeys advice to yourself.” Sanskaar said and started walking to the door.

Swayam sighed and went to him, “Don’t worry about me. But take my advice, when the time comes, you will have to choose between your friendship and love.” Both the boys start to walk down the corridor and their conversation gets faint.

“Love?? You are getting it wrong…Ragini and I….” The conversation is totally inaudible now.

Scene Shift: Outside College

“Tanya!!” Ragini waved to a girl standing at the curb, wearing a kurta and jeans. “I know we are seeing each other again in 2 weeks but you can’t just leave…Not even a bye?”

“Sorry Ragini, I had to leave quickly because Papa is coming to pick me up. He would be furious if I wasn’t out on time.” Tanya replied hastily, turning to look at the cars.

“Okay fine. I will wait with you too.”

“NO!” Tanya said loudly, startling Ragini who looked at her with furrowed eyebrows.

“Why?” Ragini asked, to which Tanya simply looked her up and down.

“Not you too yaar…” Ragini complained. “Even Krish has a problem with my clothes and now you too?”

“Its not my concern, but if my Papa sees you like this trust me, I will never be able to talk to you again.”

“How does your dad look?” Ragini asked in a whisper and then signaled her to look back. Tanya turned around slowly and was shocked to find her Dad in his jeep judging her friend like anything. She cursed her fate in her mind before turning around to say a quiet goodbye to Ragini and crossed the road to her car. Tanya’s dad gave another disgusted look to her friend before driving away.

Scene Shift: Arora House

“Grab the water bottles from the kitchen.” Krish said to Vaani as the boys began loading stuff into the black Range Rover. He then went in to get the bags sitting on the living room floor.

“Krish pleaseee…Can I come along too?” Ragini pleaded to him.

“No means no. This is my road trip, with my friends.” Krish replied to her.

“But even I have the same birthday as you, so we both should get the same celebrations right? I want to celebrate our birthday together.” Ragini sugar coated her words.

“Don’t worry. We will be back a day before our birthday, then we can celebrate together. This is just exclusive to my friend group. Take Tanya with you and go shopping or watch movies if you want to celebrate.” Saying this Krish went outside again while Ragini stomped to the kitchen.

Sanskaar who had seen the whole sibling conversation now cleared his throat and approached Krish, “Hey man…I know I shouldn’t be saying this, but don’t you think it would be better if we took Ragini along?” He let out a relived breath after getting the words out.

“And why would that be?” Krish turned his full attention to Sanskaar who started to feel the heat.

He was stuttering to explain but somehow managed a few words, “Leaving her behind for a week all by herself is a disaster waiting to happen. God knows the storm that would bring this house down.” Krish tilted his head suspiciously. “I am saying this because you always complain about her reckless nature….s…so…so I thought she can create trouble for herself if she’s left alone here. That’s all.” Sanskaar was red as a tomato and felt as if he was being roasted on a bonfire as he tried to get rid of his friend’s suspicious glance with his explanation.

“How did you know mum isn’t home this whole week? Did Gini make a school announcement already?? God this girl cannot…”

“No no, nothing like that. I just heard her talk to V about this inside that’s why.” Sanskaar lied and quickly turned to leave. His eyes met Swayam’s, who just shook his head in disbelief at the whole situation.

Scene Shift: Kitchen

“So Rags, are you coming along?” Vaani asked Ragini who just walked in to the kitchen that she and Meera were cleaning up.

“Oh please, spare me the horror of such horrible company.” Ragini spitefully said staring Meera down as she moved to the fridge. Grabbing a bottle she walked back to the living room. Vaani shrugged her shoulders and went out, leaving behind a dejected Meera at the counter top.

Scene Shift: Living room

“Gini, you have 5 minutes. Pack your bag and come down or we leave without you.” Krish warned her. Kunal and Vaani shared glances hearing the same words he had said to them a while back.

“KRISH! Thank You sooo much!!” Ragini jumped from the couch and hugged tightly, shaking him around as if he was a stuffed toy. She saw Sanskaar standing at a distance with a puppy face asking for a hug as well. But his expressions changed as soon as he saw Swayam staring him down. Ragini couldn’t help but laugh at them.
