————THE DAY OF THE STARTING OF TRIP
Samar-Ragini and Shivaay-Anika reached the airport and after completing immigration, boarded the flight…It was Anika’s first experience of getting into flight …Oberoi’s, Malhotra’s being business tycoons obviously took the first class of Plane….Anika’s eyes widened with the first look of flight and she didn’t know where to go and what to do….Shivaay guided her and showed her- her cabin and left from there…..Anika was more panicked now as she had to sit there alone and for approximately 12 hrs…
Ragini observed all this and seeing Shivaay leaving came to Anika and spoke ‘’Anika ..i must say you have some major luck else a ‘’no class girl’’ in first class flight …how ridiculous…I am sure you don’t know anything but remember we have class so don’t try to put us down and behave properly…I am sure you understand what I am saying’’
Shivaay who was just coming towards Anika’s cabin to give her- her belongings heard Ragini’s words…..he was much angered but remained silent in order to not create any scene in the flight…….Ragini turned back to see Shivaay in shock and she tried to say something but Shivaay stopped her and spoke
Shivaay ‘’I will talk to you in a while…I expect you to be in your cabin ’’
Ragini left…Shivaay handed over Anika her belongings and explained her how to call staff …how to convert the chair to bed and everything else…..Anika looked at him in surprise for the extra care he has been showing
Shivaay ‘’what? Why are you checking me out?’’
Anika nodded her head in ‘’NO’’
Shivaay ‘’don’t lie’’ he pulled her and looked into her eyes
Anika ‘’Shivaay what are you doing? Someone will see’’
Shivaay ‘’let them…I don’t care…but first tell me why were you checking me out?’’
Anika ‘’I said I wasn’t checking you out’’
Shivaay ‘’Fine…i am leaving then’’
Anika held his hand trying to stop him from leaving and looked at him sadly …..Shivaay again pulled her towards her and tucked her hair behind her ears and kissed her cheeks……..her eyes widened……..
Shivaay ‘’don’t worry …if you need anything just come to me’’ he smiled
Anika ‘’Shivaay…thank you’’ she reciprocated the smile while holding her cheeks where he kissed
Shivaay ‘’it’s okay’’ he winked at her and left towards Ragini’s cabin
Anika smiled and felt shy and sat in her cabin trying to remember what Shivaay explained her……
Shivaay knocked Ragini’s cabin door and Ragini opened it…….
Ragini ‘’hey Shivaay’’
Shivaay ‘’Ragini I expect you to be careful while speaking to Anika…you cannot everytime taunt her as you wish…it’s true she doesn’t understand and know the etiquettes…but that is not a crime even…she is different and the way she has been brought up is different…I hope you will remember my words……’’
Ragini ‘’but Shivaay…I was just’’
Shivaay ‘’you were just insulting her…look I said you very clearly you are my friend, a very good friend ..and that the engagement and everything is a drama just to make Anika jealous… and in this process I can’t see Anika getting insulted by anyone, not even you…if you value our friendship then don’t repeat it else I will not think even for a minute to break all chords between us’’
Ragini again tried to say something when Shivaay cut her off and said ‘’Have a nice flight’’
Ragini was much irked with him now and
Ragini POV ‘’Anika I will kick you out in such a way that Shivaay will forget Anika forever ‘’
Anika on the other hand was very nervous and Samar gave her the required company and they both sat and chat for long time…….Shivaay was now irked with what he was seeing……After sometime while it was getting dark all four got back to their cabins and slept …….
During the whole flight Anika didn’t eat anything as she was not comfortable in eating with fork, spoon , knife and somewhere she thought Ragini’s words were true …she couldn’t make the rest three embarrassed……….
Finally they reached Sweden…….and reached Shivaay’s friends Villa ………….it was really beautiful……a big garden…fully equipped kitchen …5 bedrooms , staff who could prepare Indian as well as every sort of food……a big dining hall and a sitting room and a living room, an open kitchen…..central warming and ac …..a separate place for burning wood to provide warmth……a power back up in case of power outage…..everything that they could ask for was there in the villa……
All four rested for the day and then the next two days they got themselves busy in the work……however amidst all this Anika was not at all comfortable as she knew she couldn’t fit herself among them…….she used to avoid dining with them ..and left from there purposely to avoid embarrassment of her and the rest three……Shivaay had observed all this and tried to speak to her but Anika avoided the topic……
The third day all four were getting ready to go to office when Anika came in the same dress which mesmerised Shivaay in the showroom…….as soon as she came to the hall Samar and Shivaay couldn’t take of their eyes off Anika and Ragini was burning in jealousy seeing her……
Samar came to her and ‘’Anika you are looking stunning…I have never seen someone so beautiful before…’’
Anika smiled and said ‘’thank you Samar’’
Shivaay couldn’t bear Samar flirting with Anika and was jealous ……
Shivaay ‘’Shall we leave …we are getting late’’ he broke the conversation
Anika looked at him and smiled …….Shivaay too reciprocated her looks and they were lost in each other’s eyes…when Ragini pulled Samar aside
Ragini ‘’bhai I guess today you will be leaving as decided’’
Samar ‘’yes off course once the meeting gets over I will let Shivaay know of my work and leave…don’t worry everything is set’’
Ragini ‘’great thanks bhai’’
Ragini then turned towards Shivaay who was lost in Anika’s eyes and got angered….she went near him and held his hand and said ‘’Shivaay let’s go…we are getting late’’
All four left…while in office everyone complimented Anika for her beauty…Anika was jumping in joy in her heart and thanked Shivaay for the dress…….Shivaay was somewhere feeling proud to own Anika ….
After the meeting got over …….Samar stopped Shivaay , Ragini and Anika and said
Samar ‘’Shivaay I need to head back to Mumbai tonight…’’
Shivaay ‘’What? But what about the work here?’’
Samar ‘’I am sorry Shivaay.. but i have to take care of other business of mine as there are certain issues popping out with those’’
Shivaay ‘’but…so suddenly?’’
Samar ‘’Yeah …before going to meeting I got a call from my head office about the growing issues so I need to head back…since almost everything is settled here I think you and
Ragini can manage for rest of the days and come back…while I leave’’
Shivaay looked at Anika and Anika looked at him tensed
Ragini ‘’don’t worry Shivaay…I will be here to help and assist you…it’s just a matter of one week’’
Anika left from there teary eyed……
Shivaay ‘’fine…what can I say more…’’
Anika left to washroom and cried
Anika POV ‘’I don’t want to leave you and go Shivaay…do something and stop me…I don’t want to go leaving you…I can’t stay away from you…please Shivaay do something’’ she cried in washroom
Shivaay too excused himself and left from there ….he moved towards his cabin in office and
Shivaay POV ‘’how to stop you Anika…I am beginning to feel our relationship and now this sudden parting arised …what should I do to stop you….how will I say Samar to leave you here and go…he is not aware of the fact that this engagement announcement with Ragini is fake….i just want to spend sometime with you…my personal time ….i thought to wind up the work here and take you to places…but everything seems to slip away…what to do?’’
Both came back to the meeting room once again where Samar and Ragini were there talking something…..Anika was slowly feeling weak
Samar ‘’Anika so all set …we need to head back to Mumbai…so let’s go back home and pick our luggage …from there we will go to airport to take our flight’’
Anika nodded in agreement and looked at Shivaay….Shivaay couldn’t say anything……
Just then A business associate (BA) stepped in and said
BA ‘’We have worked on whatever we have discussed two days before …so as per the treaty of Scandinavian countries you need to go to Norway first and then to Denmark for further formalities …it’s best if you go as soon as possible …so that the manufacturing units are in sync’’
Shivaay ‘’I agree…..are we all required or anyone of us will suffice?’’
BA ‘’Anyone of you will suffice…it’s just you need to be present before the legal officer and wait till the checks are done, sign the MoU’s …I think it will take three days in each country …but someone needs to be here too as the updates from there and next decisions here are to be aligned’’
Shivaay ‘’Sounds perfect…we will decide and let you know’’ he looked at Samar and then at Ragini
BA excused and left from there
Shivaay ‘’So Samar since you are heading to India…either I or Ragini has to go to Norway and then to Denmark…so let’s decide who will be here and who will head to Norway first’’
Ragini was now in a dilemma……and looked at Samar…they were badly caught……because they knew Shivaay and Ragini will have to be apart no matter what……Shivaay smirked while Anika looked at them confused
Ragini ‘’Shivaay I can’t just do it alone…so ‘’
Shivaay ‘’fine then …you stay back in Sweden and manage here while I go to Norway and Denmark…..Samar will anyways be heading back to Mumbai’’
Ragini ‘’bhai..why don’t you find out a way…is going to India very important’’
Samar was blank
Samar ‘’yes Ragini…I will think again…if I don’t go then what’s the plan?’’
Shivaay ‘’it’s even more easy then…one of us will manage here…one will go to Norway and other will go to Denmark…in this way the work will be completed easily and all of us can
go back to Mumbai in 4 days’’
Ragini nodded NO to samar…..
Ragini ‘’Fine bhai you go ahead to Mumbai…I and Shivaay will manage here’’
Shivaay ‘’are you sure Ragini?’’
Ragini ‘’yeah…I know what needs to be done’’
Shivaay ‘’so what needs to be done? Are you going to Norway or do you want me to go?’’
Ragini ‘’I will go’’
Shivaay ‘’fine…then let’s go back to Villa and drop you all to airport’’
Ragini ‘’you all?’’
Shivaay ‘’yeah…Ragini you too will need to take afternoons flight to Norway…so that the work doesn’t get delayed’’
Ragini ‘’but I can go tomorrow Shivaay’’
Shivaay ‘’I don’t think so Ragini…tomorrow morning you need to start work there…and you cannot be late…moreover I am hearing a heavy snowfall is being expected in coming days and I cannot take risk…so i think you must reach tonight to Norway take good rest and then begin your work tomorrow at the earliest ‘’
Ragini was stunned and having no other option she sadly nodded YES
They all left towards the villa but before that Shivaay informed BA about their decision…..
Anika was still feeling weak and was feeling very sick as if she will collapse then and there…she was trying to gain all her energy
They reached the villa and headed back to their rooms and except Shivaay everyone started packing their bags….. after sometime Ragini-Samar and Shivaay reached the living room but there was no trace of Anika…
Samar ‘’we are getting late …where is Anika?’’
Shivaay ‘’I will check and come’’
Ragini ‘’you wait Shivaay…I will check her’’
Shivaay ‘’it’s okay Ragini let me check’’ he barged towards Anika’s room
He pushed the door and stood still to see Anika lying unconscious in her room on the bed……
Shivaay screamed ‘’ANIKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA’’
With that one scream Samar and Ragini came to her room and were shocked to see her state…
Samar ‘’what happened to her ..Shivaay’’
Shivaay ‘’don’t know…call the doctor now’’
Samar called the doctor……
Doctor checked her and said ‘’nothing to worry…I think she had not taken food for some days …she is very weak and you need to take good care of her…we don’t give medicines for everything …so just ensure that she takes rest and eats properly…and if in any case there is any problem get her to the hospital’’
Shivaay nodded in agreement and send him off….later Shivaay made Anika to sleep properly and all three headed to Living room
Samar ‘’now what ? I think I should stay back and look after the works here’’
Shivaay ‘’that’s not needed…I will take care of Anika while managing here…and as decided I think you should all stick back to what was decided earlier’’
Ragini ‘’but Shivaay how will you handle Anika…I mean she is sick…it’s better I stay back and take care of her while you move to Norway’’
Shivaay ‘’Ragini…you are forgetting she is my WIFE’’
Ragini ‘’Ex-Wife Shivaay’’
Shivaay POV ‘’she is my Wife Ragini…I haven’t filed the divorce yet… so still she is my wife’’ he came out of his thoughts and spoke
Shivaay ‘’Yeah the same…but I have lived with her and I know how to manage her along with my work…so you need to trust me on this’’
Ragini looked at Samar as if she is asking him to do something to make situation in her favour ….
Samar ‘’I think I will take her along with me…..it’s just a matter of 12 hrs and once we are in Mumbai everything will be taken care…doctor said she is just weak and nothing to worry’’
Shivaay ‘’have you lost it Samar…doctor has asked her to take rest and in this case I cannot and will not allow her or anyone to take risk and my decision is final…Anika will be with me under my supervision till she gets fine and we all are sticking to our plan as decided’’
Samar looked at Ragini who was feeling dejected
Ragini ‘’shivaay…but’’
Shivaay ‘’I guess you will be late if you don’t leave now…we have only three hours left for the flight to depart’’
Samar and Ragini left from there in disgust while Shivaay just looked on……
