Being together is all that matters by Vrushy (Chapter 5)

Hello Everyone.
Chapter 5

“Come on, we need to go to the party !!” Anika cried out but her words fell on deaf ears. She had been persuading Ishana and Soumya to go to the Oberoi brother’s party.

” Why do you want to go all the way downtown ?!! let’s just sit at home, watch some rom-com and and eat popcorns. What say soums ?!!” Ishana said throwing the remote towards Soumya.

” I think we should go. I am feeling verg home sick and need some fresh air. Also it would be a mood changing environment. ” Soumya replied. The main motive behind her attending the party was to apologise to Rudra. She had been feeling guilty the whole day and wanted to make it up to him. After all he was just a newbie and she had spoilt his first day at the university !!

“Fine, if that’s what you both want. But Anu, after the stunt you pulled out in the morning, I am driving the car.” Ishana said. Anika threw her hands up in the air, accepting her defeat and walked towards her room to get ready.

Ishana and Soumya also went off to their rooms. Ten mins later, Ishana came out wearing a White colour crop top and denim shots. She went to check on Anika and found her applying lipstick in front of the mirror. Anika was wearing a red one piece which hugged her figure completely. She had let her hair open. As they both left Anika’s room and came to the living room, they found Soumya sitting on the sofa wearing a black fancy top and her regular blue fadded denim jeans.

The girls sat in the car and Ishana drove them to the Oberoi villa though the help of GPS. The moment their car came in front of the villa, the gate was opened by the security gaurd. They parked their cars and observed that many of their classmate’s cars were already parked their. They went towards the main door and stepped into the huge villa.

The living room had completely turned into a disco with loud music blasting through the speakers and the shinny lights that had been arranged for the party. There was food and drinks served at the dinning table.

“I am going to get something to drink, you want anything ?!!” Anika asked Ishana and Soumya. Both of them shook their head in no as it was hard to hear anything because of the loud music.

As Anika walked towards the dinning table, Soumya started searching for Rudra. She now wanted to apologise to him and get this guilt feeling out of her system as fast as possible. As her eyes wandered among the whole crowd, she saw his figure seating perched on the stairs that probably lead upstairs.

” I will be back !!” She shouted over the music so that Ishana could hear. Ishana just nodded and Soumya walked off in Rudra’s direction.

As Soumya reached closer to Rudra, she realised that he was lost in some thoughts. She carefully without making any noise sat beside him on the stairs.She observed that the corner of his eyes were wet. He had been crying.

and suddenly the guilt feeling increased !!

As Anika got to the dinning table people from both the side squessed her and it became almost difficult for her to grab a drink. After struggling for about five minutes she finally grabbed a glass of blue lagoon and turned around.

As she turned around she collided into a hard wall and the half drink fell on her while the other half fell on the wall. She winced as her elbow hurt now due to the collision. She looked up and her eyes got locked in a pair of light blue eyes.

Did it have to be him ?!! She cursed her luck.

” Wherever you go, disasters are bound to happen” Shivaay said in a hoarse voice.

” I didn’t do it intentionally and anyway even my dress has got spoilt. But I am not complaining like a spoil brat !!” Anika answered back.

” Do you want to continue with the fight or instead want to clean up your dress ?!!” Shivaay asked her calmly.

” Cleaning up would be a better option, I guess.” Anika replies sheepishly looking down all the while. She didn’t know why but everytime she looled into his eyes, her body turned into a marshmellow. She melted.

” Come, I will show you the washroom.” Shivaay said and moved forward. Anika quitely followed him. After about two steps he stopped suddenly to trun around and make sure that she was following him. But Anika who had been following him step after step didn’t predict that he would turn around and banged right into his back. This time the hard wall hit her head and she wondered if it would swell after sometime.

Somebody had a well built body here. He must be gyming daily she thought. As she collided with his back she staggered two steps back due to its effect. Shivaay held her by her shoulders to steady her. After making sure she was balanced, he turned around and started walking towards his room again.

Anika followed him after reeling back from the effect of the hit.

Om sat in his room. He had no interest to attend the party that was going on in his house. He was more of a silent person and also not someone who would get mixed in the crowd. He rather preferred to be alone.

As he sat there painting one of his canvas’s he felt some movement by his window side. He kept his brushes down and moved towards the window. He saw a small petite figure of a girl walking towards the wineyard that was on the right side of their villa. It extended to a long distance and was huge in area.

As he kept on looking at the girl, he realised that she was none other than the girl from the morning. Who’s car had banged into their’s .Who’s name he was dying to know.

He saw her sit on one of the car’s hood and look far away in the direction of the wineyard. She had let her long traises flow in the wind and due to the moonlight falling on her, she looked the divine beauty. A strong wind blew and her traises flew with it. But she also shivered due to the cold wind.

That’s when Om observed what she was wearing. Her crop top and shorts were not at all protecting her from the cold weather outside. He saw her shiver again, when a new cool breeze blew past her. Unable to have any control over his thoughts and actions, Om moved towards his wardrobe and removes a wollen jacket.

He held the jacket in one hand and moved towards the kitchen. The kitchen was packed with unknown people. He made his way towards Shivaay’s coffee machine and made two coffees. Poured them into a thermos and picked two cups from the cabinet.

Holding the jacket, thermos and cups in his hands he moved out of the house towards the mystery girl……
