Being together is all that matters by Vrushy (Chapter 2)

Chapter 2

The following morning, the girls got ready for their first day at university. They had been going to the same university since the last five years. But today was the first day of a new academic year. Which meant that lots of freshers would come and that ensures fun and mastii in the campus.

All the three girls left their house and in minutes they are on their way into the heart of New York. Cars from either sides blocked their way, causing them to get squished in the middle of the streets.

“Yeah Dad, we are almost there,” Ishana yelled out to the phone, and turned it off. She was sitting in the passenger seat with Anika driving and Soumya sitting in the back seat eating her chocolate.

“Anika, be careful,” Ishana called out to her sister who was furious with the traffic on the roads. She had just taken a sharp turn which lead to Soumya’s chcolate falling down from her hands.

Anika hated to wait, she was a very short tempered person. Although Ishana shared the same nature, she knew that driving rashly on the roads was no joke, so she tried to drill the words careful into Anika’s head as often as possible.

Instead of many warnings from Ishana and pleas from Soumya, Anika kept on driving recklessly and fastly. Taking swift turns and finding every possible gap in the traffic to reach the university.

Not stopping at the stop sign, on the end of the street, Anika carelessly took the car right into a red Audi. Their car had actually crashed into the red Audi.

Ishana slapped her forehead in disbelief and glared at Anika who blinked back innocently. She mouthed the words sorry to her and looked back to face the red car.

Anika brushed off her bangs to the side of her high ponytail. She settled her lavender colored dress in place and stepped out of the car. Ishana, who was wearing a tank top with an overcoat and mini shorts hopped out of the car without bothering to open the door, since their’s was an open car.

Ishana looked back at Soumya who had a worried expression and said,” Stay in the car sweets, no need to come out.” Assuring her that her two elder sisters were capable enough of handling the issue.

They walked in front of their car and examined it, Anika gently replied, “Ishu, chill. Nothing will happen to me, no one will fine me, or tow our car OR arrest me either.”

“I am more worried about myself,” Ishana teasingly said, as she saw a boy coming out of the red Audi with sunglasses on. He walked up to Ishana. He had long hair almost below his neck, which covered most of his forehead.He was wearing a white shirt with a red overcoat and jeans. He moved his hands to his jeans pockets and rested them there, tilting his head waiting for an explanation for the damage caused to his car.

As her sisters got out of the car, Soumya bent down and started searching for her fallen chocolate. She finally got it and came up but then it was completely spoil with dirt. She looked at the chocolate and made a sad pout. She so wanted to eat that chocolate.

Soumya looked up and saw a boy sitting in the car, their car had banged into. He was also sitting alone in the car while the other two boys with him were standing out arguing with her sisters. The boy was wearing a red T-shirt and had his rayban sunglasses on. He had been looking at her as she made faces at the spoilt chocolate.

Then all of a sudden the boy sitting in the front car, removed a chocolate from his bag. He showed the chocolate to Soumya and had a sly smile on his face. He teased Soumya as he slowly and lesuirely removed the wrapper covering the chocolate. He keep stealing glances at her and smiling all the while.

Soumya watched him fumingly as he slowly cut a peice of chcoclate and waved it in front of her before putting it in his mouth. As he put the piece of chcolate in his mouth, he closed his eyes and moaned in pleasure. Oh, she has had enough of this. Soumya looked away from the boy towards her sisters !!

Anika was still looking cautiously at the cars, examining the damage, Ishana gently pulled her to the boy with long hair to provide him the explanation needed.

“She is the driver,” Ishana said pointing to Anika, while Anika walked past him and knocked on the window of the driver’s seat.

The other boy got out of the car and stood beside his brother after checking for any major damage near the back of his car. For some time, everyone stood staring at each others faces.

Anika couldn’t bear the silence anymore, she burst out, “Look, don’t stare at me like that, it’s not my fault, it’s yours too.”

“Oh really ?!! You are the person who drove past the stop sign without stopping, smacking into my car, and I am at fault.” she heard the boy driving the car reply in stern voice.

Anika struggled to find an answer, but finally found one.“Yes, when you could see the fact that a car was coming towards you, couldnt you wait for it to pass through, but NO, Mr.Know it all decided to drive right into the car.”

“You’re a weird girl, you make the mistake, forget about saying sorry, you are blaming me for everything,” the boy responded in a calmer voice.

Anika was running out of patience, she was about to snap back at him, but was controlled by Ishana who showed her the time in her wrist watch. Anika looked at the watch to read 10:30 am. Ishana widened her eyes, asking to leave the matter here as they were running out of time.

“Look, I don’t have time for all this, I need to be at a place in 10 minutes, so give me your details, I’ll get the car fixed.” Anika said as gently as she could, taking out her phone from the side pocket of her dress and unlocking it to store his details.

“No need for all that pain, just put aside your ego and say SORRY,” he adamantly said, a slow smirk started to appear on his face. He moved his hand in his hair as if her apologising would make him win.

Anika raised her eyebrows and tauntingly said, “Sorry and me ?!! No way, I never ever say sorry to anyone. Get that in your head.”

She could see the shock in his face as she said that. That gave her some peace to see him irritated by her words, growing a victorious smile on her fragile skin.

“Then, I’ll report it to the police,” he firmly tried to threaten her as she swiftly turned around and headed back towards the car.

“Go to hell, then,” Anika’s voice in a dangerous low tone said back. Her high black heels clinged to the rocky floor of the road, making a thud sound as she walked by.

“Look, it was an accident, explain your brother, please,” Ishana innocently pleaded the boy,with long hair, standing in front of her. He had been staring at her since the start.

Ishana gave him a tight smile before she swiftly turned around, hoping to melt his heart with her innocent face.

“Shivaay, leave it.” Ishana heard the boy with long hair voice out to his brother, she winked at Anika who was already seated in the car, grinning happily at their final victory.

“Om !!” Ishana heard Shivaay firmly say back to the boy she was talking with. So his name is Om, she thought as she opened the car door.

“Come on, It is not their fault if they don’t know how to drive properly.” Om taunted them, placing his arm on the shoulder of his brother.

Ishana stiffened as she heard those words, blood from her body started to rise, flowing like a lava.

She looked up and gave him a black glare, and snapped,“What ?!! What did you say ?!!”

” Let’s go Ishu, there’s no heed in agruing with idiots. We are getting late !!” Anika said.

Ishana got into the car, while Anika started the engine and moved towards their university.

The brothers on the other hand also got into their car to get to the university.

I would try my best to give equal importance to all the three couples and also show the bond between the brothers and the sisters. But its hard to write such long Chapters that include all the six people and thus, please bear with me if I make a mistake.
